Pumpe.
Pump. The invention relates to a pump which has a liquid flushing device intended to seal the shaft against the housing and which has back blades on the impeller facing the liquid flushing device. The pump is especially designed for pumping sewage, thick matter, chemical substances, preferably those that attack sealing material and bearing metals, etc.
Urban or factory wastewater contains various types of solids or thick matter which, for various reasons, should be kept away from the seal as much as possible.
This problem does not only arise with pumps for waste water, but also with pumps for various industries, such as the chemical industry, the paper industry or the food industry, as long as the flow of rinsing water or another liquid used for rinsing does not interfere with the work process.
The amount of rinsing liquid used in the process part preceding the promotion can be taken into account so that the desired dilution is available afterwards.
The invention consists in that. Between. the liquid supply and the effective space of the back blades at least one throttle section is provided.
In the drawing, Ausführungsbei games of the invention are shown schematically. The figures show: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through a waste water pump, FIG. 2 a throttle section formed as a labyrinth seal, FIG. 3 the arrangement of a screw groove on the impeller hub.
The impeller 1 in. The housing 2 of the centrifugal pump is keyed onto the shaft 3 and the hub 4 is pressed by means of the screw 5 against the bush 6 to protect the shaft 3, which is surrounded by the stuffing box housing 7 in the lantern 8. The stuffing box 9, in which the packing 10 is pressed onto the box 6 by means of the stuffing box gland 12, is provided in the housing 7.
The dirty water or the medium to be conveyed enters through the suction nozzle 13 in the cover 14 and is removed from the blades. 15 is conveyed into the pressure chamber 16, from which it reaches the pressure line 18 via the pressure connection 17.
The impeller 1 is provided with back blades 19 on the side where the shaft 3 occurs from the housing 2 in the outer part. These hurl the conveying medium that penetrates through the gap 20 to the outside. Furthermore, the pure water supply duct 21 with the non-return valve 22 is closed on the housing 7, through which the pure water is supplied under pressure. It first flows into the annular space 23 between the sleeve 6 and the housing 7.
The gap 24 surrounding the sleeve 6 forms a throttle section for the pure water passing through, in that the gap has a greater length so that the friction therein also has a throttling effect. Usually the length is greater than the diameter of the shaft in the gap. Through the throttle section 24, on the one hand, the flush volume on the shaft circumference is divided and possibly regulated, on the other hand, the seal 9 is protected.
At the right end of the throttle section 24 a compensation space 25 is provided, which is followed between the rib 27 on the housing 2 and the hub 4 by a further throttle section 26. The pure water then enters the equalization space 28, which is provided in a ring around the impeller hub 4 in the housing 2 and takes up a larger amount of pure water. On the housing 2 an all around rib 29 is angeord net,
which cooperates with the annular rib 31 on the impeller 1 and forms a Dros selstrecken 32 to which the action space 33 of the back blades 19 connects. The mode of operation is as follows: The wastewater with the solids or the thick matter enters through the suction nozzle 13 and is conveyed by the blades 15 into the pressure chamber 16.
The back scoops 19 now serve to put the liquid in the vortex area 33 of the back scoops 19 under pressure and throw it outward. As a result, any dirt water that has passed through the gap 20 behind the impeller 1 is already conveyed to the outside by these back blades 19.
In addition to the action of the back, shovel 19 now comes the water supply in action, -indem water from the line 21 via the non-return valve 22 behind the seal 9 enters the ring lozenges 23 and the throttle section 24 flows through. This water enters the equalizing channel 25, which is connected between the throttle sections 24 and 26.
It reaches the compensation chamber via the throttle section 26 behind the impeller 1. 28 to fill it up completely and rinse it.
By now. The water supplied under pressure has flowed through the throttle sections 24 and 26 -Lind the equalization chambers 25 and 28, it passes through the throttle section 32 into the action space 33 of the back shovels 19, then flow into the pressure section 16. This inflow of water supports the action of the back blades 19 by putting the inflowing water under pressure and the constant inflow in the gap 20 causes a flow of water in the direction from space 33 to pressure space 16.
This prevents dirt or thick matter from getting behind the impeller 1 from the pressure chamber 16 into the throttle sections 24, 26 surrounding the shaft 3 and from there to the sealing air 9 and causing damage. Through the throttle stretch 24, 26, among other things, the distribution of the pure water over the entire arm of the shaft 3 is effected.
The compensation chambers 25, 28 form a certain reserve amount of pure water which, in the event of a disturbance in the water supply, serves to flush the space 33 or the back blades 19 through while the Piunpe is being turned off.
This compensating effect of the chambers 25 and 28 will also come into effect when the pump is started up and switched off normally, which saves water because the water-L drives are not switched on before the pump starts up.
If, for example, the pressure in the pure water line 21 fails for any reason, the suction effect of the back blades 19 can still be used to maintain water flushing, albeit to a limited extent, because there is a back-up magnet in the line 21 for the pure water supply 22 is provided.
If, when the pump is at a standstill, dirty water or thick matter should nevertheless pass through the throttle section 32, as a result of the significant amount of pure water in the compensation chamber 28, the incoming dirty water or the incoming thick matter is diluted to such an extent that the seal 9 is damaged probably excluded .
In Figure 2 are in the area of the throttle stretch 35 and 36, which are separated by the compensating roughness 25, see indentations or grooves 37 in the stuffing box housing 7 provided. As a result, the speed of the gap between the throttle sections 35, 36 passing medium in the grooves 37 is reduced and the flow energy is destroyed. The throttling effect of the throttle sections 35 and 36 is increased by this training as a labyrinth seal. .
In Figure 3, the annular space 23, which is used for evenly distributing the flushing water over the entire circumference of the shaft 3 or the sleeve 6, is followed by an equalizing space 41. The room 4.1 is followed by the throttle section 42, to which the compensation chamber 43 is connected. In this embodiment, two compensation spaces are separated by a throttle section.
The Dros selstrecken 42 extending to the edge 51 is formed in the area of the hub 44 of the impeller, not shown, through the gap between the hub 44 and the wall of the bore 45 in the housing 2. The hub 44 is provided with a screw groove 46. While on the one hand the left end 47 of the groove 46 facing the stuffing box 9 is at a certain axial distance from the end surface 48 of the hub 44, on the other hand the right end 49 of the screw groove 46 is pulled through so far to the right that it over the edge 51 the rib 52 goes out. Since the edge 51 forms the end of the throttle stretch 42.
When the shaft is rotated in the direction of the rotary arrow 53, there is a conveyance of liquid in the gap against the impeller which is not ge. This promotion supports the protective effect of the throttle section 42 with respect to the stuffing box 9. Therefore, the special design of the groove 46 with respect to the edge 51 enables fluid to escape freely into the compensation chamber 43 at all times.
A return flow of liquid from the space 43 into the space 41, on the other hand, is inhibited in that a short section of the throttle section 42 remains switched on between the end 47 of the groove 46 and the end surface 48 of the hub 44 or the compensation chamber 41.
This is an advantage if, when the pump is switched off, part of the pressure line can be emptied through the pump in order to flush the pump through. During this emptying, the impeller 1 runs in a direction of rotation opposite to the operating direction of rotation when the pin drive is switched off, that is, against the arrow 53 in FIG. 3. The groove 46 would promote the stuffing box 9 in the direction of Rich.
In the chemical industry, the solid substances, suspensions, in the paper industry, the paper pulp and in the food industry, the solid ingredients for the conveying liquid are to be regarded as thick matter.
Instead of on the hub of the impeller, one of the screw bennut 46 corresponding groove is attached directly to the impeller shaft. This comes into consideration when shaft 3 is used alone without sleeve 6 (Fig.1); Shaft 3 can then, for example, have a helical groove in the area of the throttle section 24, with grooves 37 (FIG. 2) being dispensed with, and bushing 7 in this area is therefore designed in accordance with FIG.
In a further embodiment, the screw groove is attached to a bushing surrounding the impeller shaft, for example on the rotating bush 6, for example in the region of the throttle section 24, with grooves 37 (FIG. 2) again being unnecessary.
