Nozzle box of a gas turbine installation. The present invention relates to a nozzle box of a gas turbine installation, for example a nozzle box of a turbo- jet engine or turbine engine for aircraft.
This nozzle box comprises an outer casing comprising a wall provided (the openings, an inner casing provided with openings, arranged inside the outer casing so as to form a space between these two casings and surrounding a space in which arrives the air having served for cooling, for example a main bearing of the installation, and spacers forming support links between the two envelopes, each spacer serving to form a duct for the air connecting an opening of the inner casing to an opening of said wall of the outer casing, and is characterized in that the outer casing comprises,
in addition to said wall in which are formed said openings, an outer peripheral wall, these walls forming between them an annular pipe in which open said openings of said inner wall of the outer casing and which communicates with at least an air exhaust opening.
Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to achieve a compact arrangement of ducts serving for the exhaust of the air having served for cooling without significantly increasing the diameter of the nozzle box. The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
FIG. 1 is a side view of a turbojet provided with this embodiment. Fig. 2 is an isometric view, partially in section; of this form of execution.
Fig. 3 is a view of a detail of this embodiment.
The turbojet shown in. fig. @. has an axial compressor 10, a combustion device 11 and a turbine 12. The nozzle box 13 connects. the exhaust cone 14 at the chine 15 which is the main structural element of the turbojet engine and carries the bearings 16 and 17. On. will note. in this figure that the combustion device 11 comprises six .combustion chambers, 18.
The nozzle box 13 (FIG. 2) of this turbo-reactor comprises an outer casing 20 and an inner casing 21. These two casings are connected together at the location of the flange 22 by la.quelle the entire nozzle box is mounted on the chine 7.5, and form a space between them.
The box comprises six cylindrical pipes 23 arranged symmetrically around the flange 22, and which are connected to the outer envelopes of the six combustion chambers 18. These pipes are connected to openings of an anterior frustoconical wall that the outer casing comprises. 20. At its rear end the outer casing has a flange 24 by which the box is fixed to the structure comprising the exhaust cone 14.
Six nozzles 25 extending in the tubes 23 and in the space formed between the casings 20 and 27. (fig. 2) bring the hot gases from the combustion chambers to the director blade 26 of the turbine, mounted in the annular outlet of the nozzle box. Each nozzle has a cylindrical inlet portion 27 fitted in one of the cylindrical bulures 23 and connected to a portion whose section is transformed towards the rear until it corresponds, at its outlet end 28, to a ring sector.
The outlet ends 28 of the six nozzles 25 are in end-to-end contact with one another so as to form together a ring situated opposite the director blading 26.
The inner casing 21 is frustoconical in shape and is fixed by its front end of smaller diameter to the inner edge of the front frustoconical wall of the casing 20 by means of bolts passing through the aforementioned flange 22. An annu lar bearing 29 is provided at the rear end of the inner casing for mounting the steering vane.
Hollow spacers 30 further form support connections between the outer casing 20 and the inner casing 21. These spacers 30 are disposed in the gaps which separate the middle portions of the nozzle 25.
Each strut 30 serves to form a conduit connecting an opening of the inner casing to an opening 32 of a wall of revolution 34 of the outer casing 20 forming one unit with the rear end of the frustoconical wall of this casing.
Each spacer 30 comprises an inner tubular part 30a connected to an outer part 30b formed by means of a bent sheet in the form of [J, the side edges of which are welded to the. frustoconical wall of the casing 20 and the upper edges of which are welded to the wall 34.

thus, the air which has been used for cooling can only co1, uler through the spacers 30 towards the pipe 33. This air then leaves this pipe through the outlet fittings 36.
The described nozzle box does not have mounting brackets for the. Fixing the turbojet on its main supports can, therefore, be constructed from relatively thin sheets. Under these conditions, it is desirable that no elbow or connection of restricted dimensions be fixed to the wall 34 of the outer casing at the location of the openings 32. The pipe 33 having in cross section a relatively flat shape but having the:
necessary passage section, this avoids any appreciable increase in the external diameter of the. nozzle box; in fact, the outside diameter of the casing 20 is substantially smaller than the diameter of the circle enveloping the cylindrical tubes 23.
