Elektrisches Schaltelement.
Fig.2 zeigt die fertige Verbindung.
Electrical switching element. The invention relates to electrical switching elements of elongated shape with frontally tensile secured metallic rule power supply elements.
Switching elements such as ohmic and inductive resistors and capacitors must be held mechanically and electrically connected. This is preferably done by the fact that caps or clamps are pressed or soldered onto the ends of the switching elements, or the power supply elements are inserted into cylindrical holes in the ends of the switching elements.
The use of caps and Schel len requires a large amount of material and results in additional parallel capacities that interfere with high frequencies. The attachment of the power supply elements by puncturing holes of precisely dimensioned diameter has the disadvantage that reading work is necessary because the differences in the thicknesses of the wires or the like are very large.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are avoided in that the metallic power supply elements are fastened in the end-face bores of the switching element only due to a flow deformation of the power supply elements.
This attachment can be done, for example, by compressing the bent ends of the, for example, wire-shaped or band-shaped power supplies in the bore using a punch or the like, in such a way that they undergo a flow deformation in their depth.
The width of the bore is expediently chosen so large that the power supply elements, even with the bent end, can be introduced without any constraint and thus with no deformation. In some cases it is advisable to provide the walls of the bores with grooves, i.e. to artificially roughen them.
As a result of the large friction achieved by one of the working methods he explained above between the power supply element and the switching element and the partial filling of the hole by the plastically deformed metal parts, a separation of the switching element and power supply element is only possible if the latter breaks. In this way, however, the desired tensile-safe connection between the switching element and the power supply part is achieved.
If particularly high requirements are placed on a good current transfer between the parts connected in this way, it is useful to open the ends of the Stromzufüh- rimgselemente before the flow deformation is acted, with a means that improves the electrical con tact contact, eg. B. with a graphite solution or with an electrically conductive putty to encase.
The holes can, preferably after the flow deformation is complete, with an additional material, e.g. B. with a harden the synthetic resin, a low-melting glaze, a cement, a solder or the like, are filled.
The material for the parts to be fastened in the bore in the manner described above are those metals that are plastically deformable even in the cold state, such as oxygen-free copper, which is characterized by particularly favorable cold deformability.
To protect against moisture, the finished electrical switching element can be surrounded by an outer, moisture-repellent protective layer. This protective cover can, for example, consist of a thermoplastic or a hardening synthetic resin which is applied by brushing on, spraying on or thawing. It has proven to be advantageous, instead of a thick-walled protective layer made of such materials, to arrange several thin layers with different properties on top of one another. As the outermost layer, a shrink tube of great strength against electrical breakdown is particularly suitable, the electrical breakdown strength being at least 1000 V / mm wall thickness of the tube.
This hose consists, for example, of polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl earbazole, polyamide, polyethylene, rubber, hydrochloride or another stretchable material with equivalent properties.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, an exemplary embodiment of the electrical switching element according to the invention, namely a part of an electrical resistor with a power supply element attached to it, is shown in longitudinal section.
In the figures, 1 denotes the ceramic resistance body, which is completely surrounded by the resistance layer 2, for example, made of bright carbon. War zen 3 protect the resistance layer in the loading area of the end faces from damage. In the bore 4 is the Stromzufüh approximately element 5. Its attachment is done according to Figure 1 in that, after the wire 5 with its bent end 8 has been inserted into the bore 4 without any problems, a free gap 9 remains and this end 8 is stressed by means of a striking or pressing device up to the flow deformation of its material, the deforming forces being intended to be effective mainly in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the bore 4.
Fig.2 shows the completed connection. As can be seen, the part 8 has suffered permanent deformation in that it has become shorter and thicker and has thus almost filled the previously existing gap, while the bending point 10 of the wire 5 now also includes the lowest part of the bore 4 on all sides fills out.
The remaining cavity in the bore can optionally be filled with a previously introduced substance, which improves the contact between the wire 5 and the walls of the bore 4l.
