17 an stösst.
11 an.
A group of two upholstered seats that can be converted into a bed. The invention relates to a group of two seat cushions that can be converted into a bed, which is characterized in that the seat cushions each have a seat cushion and a seat cushion pivotally connected to it and that the seat cushion can be moved into a pull-out position, where it can be moved over the 1-furniture frame protrudes, further characterized by means for connecting the upholstered seat furniture in a position
where the front of the seat cushions touch each other in the extension position of the seat cushions and the cushions form a lying surface.
hi the drawing is an embodiment example of the subject invention provides Darge. -Ia shows: Mg. 1. two sofas put together to form a corner bench, Fig. \? the two sofas being converted into a bed, Fil-. 3 the two sofas put together to form a bed.
4 and 5 show means for uniting the two sofas when putting them together to form a bed, while the fig. 6 shows a part of a section along the line '6-6 in Fig. 1 in a larger scale.
The two sofas A and B are set up in a corner bench in FIG. In the corner, between them. A viewing bench 31 with a triangular outline is placed, in front of which there is a stool 30 that fits into the corner, the part of which facing the room is rounded towards the cabinet 31. But it could also be straight; through the stool 30 and the cupboard 31 are the two sofas f1. and B separated from each other.
The two sofas A and B are formed from the same and each have an open top box, which is formed from a frame 10 or 11 and a floor 11 '. The box of the sofas A and B have a rear wall 12 or 13, which is permitted above with a decorative strip 16 and 17 of U-shaped cross-section. The sofas A and B are each provided with a corner connection 14 and 15 on each side, which connect the back wall to the box and provide the necessary stiffening.
The box of each sofa is covered at the top by a sliding seat cushion 19 or 22, which is articulated by means of a fabric hinge 20 or 23 with a fixed vertical P ,, ückenpolster 21 or 24, which is at the top. on the decorative strip 16 or 17 abuts. At all four corners of the two boxes 10 and 11 are blind feet 18, behind which swivel rollers 27 are arranged on which the box stands, as FIG. 6 shows.
The corner connections 14 and 15 are cut so that they leave the hinges of the seat and back cushions free (Fig.l), so that air has access to the box 10 or 11, which is intended to accommodate the bed linen. The hinge between the seat and back cushions could also be covered by a fabric cover.
At the bottom of the seat cushions 19 and 22, stops 25 and 26 are provided on both sides on the inside of the box frame, which are arranged at a distance one behind the other (FIG. 6). The front stops 26 prevent unintentional displacement of the seat cushion in the sitting position. They have a sloping surface at the back, which means that when the seat cushion is pushed back from the extended position to the seated position, there is no need to love the front seat cushion by hand.
To make the bed are next the two seat cushions 19 and 22 with the stops 26 pulled forward while lifting until the back cushions 21 and 24 are folded back and have also assumed the horizontal position, so that the seat and back cushions form a flat lying surface. Swing-out stops could also be provided, which catch the back cushion of the sofa A in the inclined position shown in dashed lines in FIG. 3, which makes the use of wedge cushions superfluous. in the extended position of the Sitzpol ster are the rear stops 25 on the inside of the front longitudinal wall of the Ka most 10 and 11 respectively.
Under the seat cushion 19, a cross bar is provided in the middle, on which a pawl 28 (Fug. 4) is pivotably arranged, which is made of spring steel and bent at the free end to a standard hook and rotated into the position shown in FIG can where it comes to rest in a recess 10 'of the longitudinal wall of the box 10. The two sofas E1 and B are first placed parallel to one another that, as shown in FIG. 2, the seat cushions face one another,
whereupon by shifting the sofas against each other the two upholstered seats are moved together into the position according to FIG. 3, the upper seat upholstery front edges being pushed back a little when they meet and .the pawl 28 undermines the seat upholstery 22 of the sofa B and into one on the long side of the box 11 of the sofa B arranged strike plate 29 (Fig. 5) engages. This prevents any change in the position of the two sofas against each other.
The front edges of the two seat cushions lie snugly against each other, and the seat and back cushions of the two sofas form the flat surface of the bed, if not the back cushion on the. the rear wall 12 of the side facing the rear wall of the bed has an inclination, while the rear wall of the sofa B is the footboard of the bed.
In order to separate the two sofas from the position according to FIG. 3, the seat cushion 22 is raised slightly so that the overrun pawl 28 can be depressed and comes free from the strike plate 29. The two sofas can now move apart and the cushions slide back.
Two or more pawls and a corresponding number of locking plates 29 could also be provided as connecting means for the two sofas. These connecting means could also be attached to the frames of the seat upholstery furniture. Instead of being arranged to pivot, they could also be pulled out and pushed in.
On the underside - the seat cushions could also be provided with guide strips that prevent the seat cushions from dodging to the side. Furthermore, instead of the Eek connections 14 and 15, armrests can also be provided.
The upholstered seat furniture could also be armchairs, which make a sleepy bed with the appropriate width.
