Vorrichtung zum Erwärmen von Flüssigkeiten." Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung znm Eiwä.rmen von Flüssigkeiten, die einen Flüssigkeitsbehälter mit Zu- und Ablauflei tungen, einen elektrischen Heizwiderstand im Innern des Behälters und einen thermisch ;
Device for heating liquids. "The invention relates to a device znm Eiwä.rmen of liquids, which lines a liquid container with inlet and outlet lines, an electrical heating resistor inside the container and a thermal;
controlled switch in the electrical circuit of the heating resistor, which switches at a temperature . that is higher than that, at z -tiis e2 </ B> n (when the resistance is switched on again. Devices of this type are known both in the form of boilers and in the form of flow heaters.
Electric boilers of this type have become widely accepted for supplying hot water to households, where a relatively large amount of water @lureli heats an electrical resistor in a time that is long compared to the time in which the water is consumed. The control of the heating current is often done by a thermally controlled switch, the temperature at a certain Tempe, z. B. 80 C, turns off the power and it at a slightly lower temperature, z. B. at 75 C, switches on again.
Electric water heaters have not been able to establish themselves to this extent for household supply, although they have also been known for over forty years, because they still have disadvantages that could not be remedied. With the instantaneous water heaters, the heating current is usually controlled by switches actuated by the water pressure, a device that has proven itself in gas-fired instantaneous water heaters.
Electric instantaneous water heaters have a much smaller capacity for water than the boilers mentioned above, so that the water volume is brought to the lowest possible temperature as quickly as possible.
According to the invention, in the above-mentioned device for heating liquids, the ratio of the electrical power consumed by the heating resistor, measured in kW, to the liquid volume of the container, measured in liters, is greater than one and is preferably approximately between 4 and B. The radiator is preferably one with a, the heating wire kon centrically surrounding metal jacket verwen det, the space between this metal jacket and the heating wire is filled by insulating material with the possible elimination of air.
A known type of such heating body are backer rods. Those radiators in which the thermal resistance between the heating wire and the jacket is as good as possible are particularly advantageous. is low. The lower this resistance is, the better the heat of the heating resistor flows away, the greater the above ratio can be made; in the best case it can be 8. The invention can be applied to various types of devices for heating liquids. In the fol lowing, we regularly speak of the heating of water; but this is not meant in a limiting sense.
As application examples of the invention in the fol lowing a device in which the water withdrawal is only: is regulated by controlling the water flow, and a device in which the flow is directly controlled so that the device is under the line pressure when none Water is removed.
In the accompanying drawings: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the first example in which the outflow is controlled by regulating the inflow, and FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the device in which the outflow is directly regulated.
The device according to FIG. 1 has a water container 1, which is tightly closed by a cover 14. The container 1 is provided with an inlet connection 10 and an outflow connection 9. The outflow takes place through a pipe 6 which is set in the nozzle 9 and protrudes into the container 1. The nozzles 10 and 9 open into a single fitting that has an outlet nozzle 13 and an inlet nozzle 11 to the inlet 10.
By opening the valve 12, water flows from the water line through the inlet connection 11, the inflow part 10 into the container 1 and out of the container through the pipe 6, the outflow part 9 to the outlet connection 13.
In the container 1 is a heating coil 2 made of backer pipe. One end of the heating wire of the heating coil 2 is connected to the input terminal of a two-pole manual switch 7, the other end of the heating wire with a mercury toggle switch 5, which is connected to the other terminal of the two-pole switch 7 on the other. The other two terminals of the hand switch 7 are connected to the mains. If the Sehalter is switched on, current flows from the switch 7 through the backer pipe 2, through the mercury tilting holder 5 and back to the switch 7.
In the container 1 there is also a thermal sensor 3, which has a device for tilting the Mercury switch 5 at its upper end and the tilt position can be adjusted by a screw 4.
The whole device is surrounded by a jacket 8 which can be designed as a heat insulating jacket. A heat insulation can also be arranged between the container 1 and the jacket 8. will.
The device works as follows: When the valve 12 is opened, water flows through the inlet connection 11 into the vessel and through the outlet connection 13 again. This water is only heated when the switch 7 is operated so that the backer pipe 2 is connected to the mains voltage. After switching on the switch 7 heated. the water in the container 1 is in a very short time.
As soon as the water has a temperature above a certain temperature, which is set by the adjusting screw 4, the mercury holder 5 tilts and switches off the power. As soon as the temperature of the water drops to a certain lower temp, the mercury holder 5 tilts back again and switches the electricity on again. The device thus heats, similar to a boiler, water to a certain temperature vorbe. The temperature at which the mercury switch switches off is set so that limescale cannot build up.
It is advisable to set it to around. 65 C. A temperature that is at least 10 to 20 C lower is recommended as the re-maintenance temperature so that the device does not have to work too often when it is only used as a boiler. Depending on the needs, the setting can also be selected differently.
When the valve 12 is open and the switch 7 is switched on, the device generates water from the set maximum temperature, provided that an amount of water is taken that does not exceed a certain limit. By choosing or setting the valve 12, you can ensure that this limit of water removal is never exceeded. In many cases, however, it is absolutely desirable that larger amounts of water can be withdrawn at a correspondingly lower temperature. This is possible with the device if the withdrawal of water is permitted in amounts which are above the stated limit.
The valve 12 can be located in the outlet instead of in the inlet. In this case, the water tank 1 is under the pressure of the water line What. Otherwise nothing changes there. The installation of the device is preferably such that a special tap is attached for the regular withdrawal of cold water.
So that not after closing the Ven valve 12, the water is heated too high by the heat still contained in the radiator 2, it is advisable to use radiators in which the heat dissipation between the electrical resistance wire and the jacket is very good. This heat dissipation capacity is determined. the ratio of electrical heating energy and water volume.
The ratio should therefore be adapted to the heat dissipation capacity of the heating wire jacket and should preferably be between 4 and 8; it can also be higher with particularly good thermal conductivity of the heating wire sheathing.
The arrangement shown in FIG. 2 differs from the arrangement according to FIG. mainly because there are two thermostats 29/31 and 36/35 in series, one of which, 36/35, switches off at a maximum water temperature, while the other, 29/31, at a minimum water temperature switches on and the sensor 29 of the last-mentioned thermostatic switch is in the inlet of the water tank.
In detail, the device consists of a liquid container 21 with a lid 22, a water inlet 24 connected to the water line and a water outlet 25 which is connected to a pipe 26 that protrudes just below the lid 22, so that the outflowing water is always only the upper one Part of the container is removed. The A run 24 and the outlet 25 can be shut off by valves 23 and 34, respectively.
The inlet 24 is connected to a pipe 27 which is encased by a pipe 28 in which a rod 29 is located as a sensor of the said thermostat 29/31, so that the entering water washes the entire length of the thermostat sensor 29 to, up to runs briefly under the cover 22 and then down between the tubes 27, 28 before it enters the interior of the container 21. This ensures that the thermostat sensor 29 is cooled down when tap water is admitted to: the pipe water temperature.
A backer pipe 30 lies in the interior of the container 21. Its ends are screwed firmly into the cover 22. One end of the heating wire of the backer tube is connected to a clamp of a mercury toggle switch 31, the other end of the heating wire of the backer tube 30 is connected to the clamp of the second tilt holder '3'5, which is controlled by the' thermostat 316/35, whose sensor 36 hangs freely in the water tank 211. The other two terminals of the two mercury toggle switches are connected to the mains.
The toggle switch 31 is tilted under the influence of the thermostat: at.ensensor 29, in such a way that the current is switched on when the temperature drops below the maximum painting temperature, which the water in the water pipe can have in summer. The thermostat is so z. B. set so that it only turns on at a temperature of 20 C and that it temperature at a higher Tempe, z. B. at 40 C, turns off. The thermostat for the other mercury toggle switch 35 is set in such a way that the tube opens the circuit when a temperature of 6'5 ° C is reached and the circuit closes again when the temperature drops to 62 ° C.
The device works as follows: If the outlet valve 23 remains closed, the toggle switch 31 closes the circuit when the water temperature is below 2100 C; the other toggle switch also closes the circuit, as the water temperature is below 650 C. The current thus flows through the Baeker pipe 30 and heats the water. As soon as the water has reached a temperature of 40 C, the toggle switch 31 switches off the power and only switches on again as soon as the temperature has dropped to 20 C.
When the outlet valve 23 is opened (the valve 34 is open), slightly warmed water is initially obtained, whereby the lower limit of the heating temperature can be set any higher than 200C.
As soon as the outlet valve 23 is opened further, cold tap water penetrates into the pipe 27 and cools the thermostat sensor 29 to a temperature below 200 ° C., so that the toggle switch c, 1 immediately switches on the current, which during the whole Duration of the withdrawal remains switched on.
When the water temperature reaches 650 ° C, the toggle switch 35 turns the power off and turns it on again as soon as the water temperature drops below 620 ° C. So you now get water at a temperature between 62 and 650 C.
In addition to the backer tube 30, backer tube windings 32 and 33 are also shown in the drawing. Each of these turns 30, 32 and 3: 3 is connected to the three phases of a three-phase network. Mercury toggle switches can be used for each. these three turns be arranged; however, it is usually sufficient for star connection to use a pair of toggle switches for all windings.
