Hagelrakete.
Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt der Hagel rakete und
Hail rocket.
The present invention relates to a hail rocket.
Hail rockets that have become known to date have a propellant charge of black powder and an average payload of 100 g, a total weight of about 1000 g, with the usual diameter of 34 mm. The height of rise reaches an AVert of around 1200 m. A wooden stick firmly attached to the rocket body is used to stabilize it during the flight.
In many cases, these known hail rockets are unsuitable because the height that can be reached is insufficient. In addition, the wooden stick used as a stabilizer makes the rocket bulky for transport and storage.
The invention makes it possible to avoid the disadvantages mentioned.
I) he hail rocket according to the invention is ver seller at its rear end with a Laval nozzle connected to a combustion chamber, a tail unit consisting of wings for flight stabilization being attached to this nozzle.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the hail rocket according to the invention, namely show:
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the hail rocket and
2 shows a launching device for the hail rocket, which in turn is shown on a smaller scale.
The drawn hail rocket has at the front end the in a shell 1 made of any material, eg. B. metal, stamped explosive charge 2 and carries a plug 3, z. B. made of iron or aluminum, with which it is connected by the threaded connector 4.
The jacket 5 of the combustion chamber, which contains the propellant charge 6, is connected to the plug 3 and thus to the casing 1 by means of grooves 7 pressed into it. The diameter of the jacket 5 of the rocket is in practice about 26 mm.
The propellant charge 6 consists of a smokeless and solvent-free powder which is firmly pressed to form a hollow cylinder and which, as a result of the higher heat of combustion than the usual black powder, results in a stronger reaction.
The jacket 5 of the combustion chamber is designed at the rear end as a Laval nozzle 8, which is provided on the outside with a tail unit consisting of wings 9 for the flight stabilization of the rocket.
In the cavity of the propellant charge 6 a black powder stop 10 is arranged, which connects a nozzle charge 11 in the nozzle combustion chamber with a bottom charge 12 between the upper end of the propellant charge 6 and the plug 3.
A detonating cord 13 leads from the nozzle load 11 to the outside through the nozzle opening. The time fuse 14 is also housed in the case 1 containing the explosive charge,
A filling part 15 fastened to the jacket 5 in the form of a sheet metal strip is used for insertion into a guide rail 16 with a C-shaped cross section. This rail 16 is attached to a tapered T-iron rod 17, the lower end of the Füh tion is closed off by a plate 18, which serves as a support for the lower end of the rocket.
For launching, the rocket is lifted into the rail 16 with the guide part 15 5 and placed on the plate 18. Then the T-iron rod 17 is driven into the ground with the inclination desired for the firing direction.
By lighting the detonating cord 13, the nozzle charge 11 is ignited first and the bottom charge 12 is ignited via the stop line 10 Sheer and regular burning of the propellant on all sides causes.
By burning the additional charge 11, the propellant charge 6 is ignited, and the rocket thereby starts as a result of the return of the combustion gases exiting through the nozzle 8.
While the propellant charge 6 is burning, a pyrotechnic charge arranged in the time igniter 14 also burns at the same time. The total burning time of this is coordinated in such a way that its jet of fire emerges into the detonator capsule housed in the warhead when the rocket has reached the culmination point of its trajectory.
The special design and composition of the propellant charge results in a short combustion time, which the rocket sehon after about 0.5 seconds. a burn-out speed, that is to say the speed of the rocket, which it also has when the propellant charge 6 ends, of about 450 m / sec. granted, so that with a black powder propellant charge of about 165 g a rise of about 3000 m is reached.
