Description

Selbstdichtendes Gleitlager.

Self-sealing plain bearing. Artificial charcoal is known to be very suitable as a plain bearing material because of its excellent self-lubricating properties, its high heat dissipation capacity and its low mechanical wear. There are numerous cases from practice, in particular from the glass, ceramics and metallurgical industry, be known in which cylindrical charcoal bearing bushes had a significantly longer life than metallic sliding bearing bushes.

In order to be able to carry this advantageous application of charcoal to plain bearings that are supposed to have a sealing function in addition to their load-bearing function, a new approach had to be taken to combine shaft carriers and sealants.

The present invention relates to a self-sealing sliding bearing, the bearing of which is at least partly made of synthetic carbon. It is characterized in that the sealing elements made of deformable sealing materials are laid in grooves of the synthetic carbon bearing bush part. The sealing means with the synthetic carbon bearing bush part are advantageous through a subsequently introduced impregnation and bonding agent. The bonding agent is there; if kept appropriately so that it promotes and supports the dense properties of the bearing body and its sealing media.

Depending on the intended use, felt, hemp and rubber fabric or similar, plastic or elastic sealing materials with a round, square or triangular profile can be used as sealing means. Before the impregnation, the sealing elements are appropriately fixed in ring-shaped or spiral-shaped grooves in the carbon bearing body by inserting, pressing or cementing them in such a way that the parts of the sealing rings protruding from the bore of the carbon bearing are undersized compared to this bore, which is up to three times the value the intended shaft clearance can achieve.

The number of sealing elements to be inserted can be 1, 2 or more. Like the installation locations of the sealing elements within the plain bearing body, it is based largely on the respective operating requirements.

A: bb.1 and 2 of the drawing show, for example, an embodiment of the subject of the invention in longitudinal and cross-section.

The arrangement consists of the actual bearing bush 1 made of charcoal, which is pressed into a steel sleeve 2 to increase the mechanical strength. The additional application of this metallic support rings is only necessary in exceptional cases of Bela; In general, the bearing bush can be manufactured without a special metal sleeve.

The sealing elements are pressed into the groove-like depressions 4 of the bearing body 1 in the form of felt rings 3 and then secured by a suitable impregnating and bonding agent, e.g. B. hard wax, joined with this to form a mechanically solid component.
