Steuereinrichtung an Mehrstufen-Axialströmungskompressor.
Control device on multi-stage axial flow compressor. The present invention relates to a control device on a multi-stage axial flow compressor and aims to ensure a high degree of efficiency of the compressor over a large speed range.
It is common, soleh? Compressors for a nominal speed to bi, .nen, which is usually close to the maximum. The compressor's operating number is. The characteristic blade sizes of the compressor, such as its angle of attack, its profile and its incline, are therefore selected in such a way that the optimum efficiency is achieved at the rated speed.
At speeds lower than the nominal speed, if the Dlaiek increase per stage is less than the increase in pressure, from the inlet to the. The outlet of the compressor, an accelerated flow occurs,
because the nominal weight ratio of the compressor is not enough. This acceleration of the flow has the effect of reducing the axial velocity at the compressor inlet and increasing it at the compressor outlet.
It has been shown that a reduction in the axial velocity of the flow at the compressor inlet causes the rotor blades of the first compressor stages, and often also the stator blades of these first stages, to work at a significantly larger angle of attack than when the compressor is in the out-of-position point.
If the compressor speed is made sufficiently low, this large angle of attack can cause pumps, as a result of which the compressor warming gradient is greatly reduced. It has already been suggested that air be drawn off from one of the last stages of the compressor, thereby increasing the axial speed of the air flowing through the preceding stages.
The control device on a multistage axial flow compressor according to the invention has a tapping valve device for controlling a passage for air extracted from a compressor stage, and for controlling the opening cross-sectional area of the tapping valve device, certain pressure response means, the pressure response element of which is loaded in a sense of action by a fluid pressure,
which is a function of the compressor speed, and in the other effective sense by a force which is a function of the opening cross-sectional area of the bleeding valve device, the pressure response means controlling the bleeding valve device in such a way that each speed within a speed range has a certain opening cross-sectional area of the Tapping valve device is assigned,
so that a good compressor efficiency is guaranteed at every speed within the range.
Speed should be understood to mean both the actual speed of the compressor and the corrected speed. The latter is known to be equal to the product of the real speed and a constant, divided by the square of the absolute temperature at the coinpressor inlet.
The tapping valve device can have a seat arranged around an opening in the stator housing of the Koni- pr essors, which opening opens into a chamber which is in communication with the working fluid duct of the compressor, and a valve body which is movable relative to the seat for the purpose of opening and closing Closing said opening in the compressor stator housing.
A particularly important area of application is a multi-stage axial flow compressor which is used to convey pressurized air for the combustion unit of a gas turbine system. In many such systems, the compressor and turbine are connected to one another in such a way that they rotate at the same speed or at speeds that are proportional to one another, the fuel supply system of the system having a saw disk pump with variable delivery at constant speed, which is driven by the system.
In this case, the pump rotor is arranged in such a way that it acts as a centrifugal oil pump which conveys pressure fluid to a fuel supply control device which serves as a regulator to limit the maximum fuel supply and thus the maximum speed of the system.
The pressure fluid generated by the centrifugal action of the rotor of the pump, the delivery ring of which can be changed by means of a swash plate, can be used to load the pressure device with a load that is a function of the compressor speed.
In such an embodiment, the cylinder chambers can be connected to the outlet of the pump mentioned on both sides of the servomotor piston, whereby the cylinder chamber limited by the larger piston area can be connected to the delivery side of the pump via a throttle point.
In the accompanying drawing, exemplary embodiments of the control device according to the invention are shown, for example. Fig. 1 shows a gas turbine system with a compressor which is provided with a control device according to the invention.
Fig. ″ Is a section through the fuel pump of the system according to FIG.
Fig. 3 shows schematically the control means and the - # nzapfventilvorriehtung of the compressor according to FIG. 1, and FIG. Figure 4 shows schematically the control means and the bleeding valve device of a second embodiment.
The gas turbine system shown has a stage-Azialströniungskompi-essoi- 10, which conveys compressed air into a combustion device 11 of the system, and a turbine 12 to which the combustion products from the combustion device 11 are supplied and which are used for the Serves drive of the compressor.
To supply fuel to the combustion unit 11, a fuel supply system of known type is provided which has a fuel pump 13 which can be driven by the system and has a variable delivery rate by means of a swash plate. The pump 13 has a rotor 14 with a number of cylinders 15 in which pistons 16 are arranged. When the pump rotor 11 rotates, the pistons 16 are moved back and forth in the cylinder 15, as a result of which fuel is conveyed from the suction line 17 into the outlet chamber 13.
The pump rotor 14 has a central bore 19, -elche from the SauT: side of the pump leads to a number of radial bores 20 through which said central bore 19 is connected to an annular chamber 21 for the housing of the pump rotor. The pump rotor thus acts as a centrifugal pump and conveys fuel into the Kanuner 21, the pressure in the chamber 21 being a function of the speed of the system and thus of the compressor.
The multi-stage Axiall @ onipressor has a - #, nzztpfventilvorriehtung, 30 finitely several valves, by means of which working fluid can escape at some of the middle stages.
It should be noted that the outlet flow rate of the compressor and thus the axial velocity of the flow in those stages which lie before the tapped stages is greater with open valves than with closed valves. The valve device could also have only one valve for discharging working fluid from a stage.
In the stator 35 of the compressor are several, z. B. three, in the circumferential direction see extending chambers 31 are provided which are arranged approximately coaxially to the housing axis and through openings 33 with the working channel 3? of the compressor are connected.
The outer walls 34 of the chambers 31 are expediently designed as parts of cylinders. Ax coincides with the axis of the housing 35. In each outer wall 34 a circumferentially arranged opening 36 is provided. The chambers and openings Publ expediently only extend over a small part of the circumference of the housing.
With. the inner surface of the outer wall 34 of each chamber 31 cooperates with a control slide 37, the displacement of which in the axial direction causes a change in the cross section of the corresponding opening 36, namely it can effect a complete opening and closing of these openings. In the Ra dial walls 39, which limit the chambers 31 at their axial end faces, an actuating shaft 38 is mounted, which is connected to each control slide 37 and protruding over one end of the chambers the part 40 has.
So that the compressor can work with good efficiency over a large speed range, the control of the nozzles should be such that the cross-section of their opening has a certain value at each speed. In order to achieve this, the arrangement in the present case is such that the bleed valves are increasingly closed when the speed increases. The following control means are provided for this purpose: The actuating shaft 38 of the bleed valves is connected by a linkage 41 a hydraulic servo motor 42 connected.
The servo motor 42 has a piston 44 which can be displaced in a cylinder 43 and a control mechanism by means of which the position of the piston 44 in the cylinder 43 is controlled as a function of the engine speed. Since the position of the piston 44 in the cylinder 43 determines the size of the openings in the valves, the size of this opening is accordingly determined as a function of the engine speed.
Two guides 45 are provided in the cylinder 43, in which the piston rod 46 is guided. The piston 44 is arranged between the ends of the piston rod 46 and between the guides 45 so that the latter serve the piston as stops. The piston rod 46 is hollow, and its interior is connected to the cylinder space lying to the right of the piston 44 through openings (not shown). Thus, the effective piston area on the right side of the piston is greater than the effective piston area on the left side of the piston.
The cylinder 43 is provided with a Druckfluidumzufuhrleitimg 50, which is connected to the delivery side of the pump 13 in the present example. On each side of the piston 44 of the servo motor opens into the relevant cylinder chamber with the line 50 in connection ste existing bore 51 or 52. The bore 52 leads to the cylinder chamber limited by the larger piston area and has a constriction 53, the purpose of which is detailed below is described. A control mechanism for the Kol ben is provided on the side of the servo motor having the larger piston area.
This servomechanism be seated in a chamber which is divided into two compartments 56, 57 by a flexible membrane 58. The compartment 57, which is closer to the cylinder 43, is connected by a line 59 to the suction side of the pump 13, and the other compartment 56 is connected by a line 60 to the chamber 21 of the fuel pump, into which by the centrifugal wire - kung of the pump rotor pressure fluid is promoted. The diaphragm 58 is thus loaded in one direction (towards the servo cylinder) by a pressure which is a function of the final number of the machine.
The membrane 58 is also loaded by a compression spring 62 which is arranged in the hollow piston rod of the servomotor. To that end is. the end wall of the servo cylinder with. an axially projecting neck 63 which has a bore in which a push rod 64 is guided. is. One end of the bumper is supported on the membrane 58, while the other end of the bumper has a stop 65 for the Fe of 62 carries. The other stop of the spring 62 is seen easily on the piston rod 46 itself.
The push rod 64 slides in the bore of the neck 63, with suitable seals being provided in order to prevent leakage of pressure fluid from the servo cylinder space into the chamber compartment 57. As can be easily seen, the spring load on the Mem brane increases when the piston 44 is moved to the right in the drawing; it therefore depends on the position of the piston 44 in the interior of the servomotor cylinder 43. It can also be seen that the spring load counteracts the liquid pressure load on the membrane 58.
The membrane 51 is also loaded by a second spring 66, which acts in the same way as the spring 62. The second spring 66 is supported on one end on the membrane 58 and on a shoulder inside the neck 63 containing the bumper 64 at the other end .
The movements of the diaphragm 58 under the action of the flood pressure and the spring loads are transferred to a hemispherical valve body 69 by a second push rod 67 which is slidably disposed in a bore 68 provided in the wall of the diaphragm chamber. The valve body 69 cooperates with a seat to form an outlet valve which is used to control the flow of pressurized fluid from the channel 70 which is connected to the bore 52. The latter leads to the right of the piston lying lowing cylinder space.
The second bumper 67 is. designed in such a way that it acts as a liquid drain between the membrane can 56 and a chamber 71. The chamber 71 containing the outlet valve is connected to the suction side of the fuel pump. The ball valve carrier and the second push rod are pressed against the membrane by light spring pressure.
The operation of the hydraulic servomotor is as follows: When the machine is not in operation, the hemispherical valve 69 is closed and the piston head 47 is located at the left end of the servomotor cylinder 43, where it is held by the spring 62. If the machine is now started, the pressure on both sides of the piston head 47 increases.
However, since no fluid can escape through the valve 69 from the right-hand side of the cylinder, the pressures remain the same on both sides of the piston, so that the piston is not moved. At the same time, the fluid pressure acting on the diaphragm 58 in the sense of shifting this diaphragm to the left increases as a result of the increase in the engine speed.
When the fluid pressure acting on the diaphragm 58 is high enough to be able to overcome the action of the spring 66, which results in the hemispherical valve 69 opening, pressure fluid is tapped from the cylinder chamber on the right of the servomotor, where the pressure in this cylinder chamber As a result of the narrowing, 53 drops. When the pressure in this cylinder space drops, the piston in the cylinder of the servomotor moves to the right, and nvar as long as the speed of the machine increases until the piston reaches its right stroke end.
It is. It should be noted that the lower limit of the speed range is determined by the second spring 66, at which the servo motor 42 in the sense of opening the bleed valves 30 becomes effective.
Assume that the speed of the machine has a constant value within the range of rotation in which the servomotor is effective. open the bleed valves and the engine speed should now be increased. As the speed increases, the pressure acting on the membrane 58 increases, as a result of which the hemispherical valve 69 is moved in the direction of opening, which means that fluid can flow from the right-hand cylinder space.
Thus, the pressure falls on this cylinder side, due to the constriction 53 in the corresponding feed line. The piston 44 moves see in the sequence in the cylinder 43 to the right, whereby the load on the membrane by the spring 62 increases until this load is equal to the pressure fluid load acting on the meme.
However, the increasing spring load causes the hemispherical valve 69 to move in the direction of closing, whereby the outflow of liq fluid from the servomotor cylinder is throttled. If the piston 44 in the cylinder has a position corresponding to the new speed, then it is. the valve 69 closed so far that the loads acting on the piston are kept equal to each other and the piston stands still.
The piston then assumes that position in which the spring load on the diaphragm 58 holds the fluid pressure, which is a consequence of the centrifugal effect of the pump rotor, which holds the pressure.
From the foregoing it can be seen that each instantaneous engine speed and thus each compressor speed corresponds to a certain position of the piston 44 in the cylinder 43 of the servo motor, so that the cross section of the openings of the bleed valves, which are controlled by the hydraulic servo motor, can be determined that it has a value suitable for the respective machine number to achieve a constant efficiency.
Furthermore takes place. with constant speed changes, the opening and closing of the bleed valve is also constant. If the cross-section of the bleed valve opening is to be controlled as a function of the corrected machine speed (i.e. the actual speed multiplied by a constant and divided by the square root of the absolute t, inlet temperature), the arrangement can be as shown in FIG. be hit.
In this example, the membrane 58 is not loaded by the fluid pressure caused by the centrifugal effect of the fuel pump rotor, as in the previous example, but by a pressure drop at an opening 100 with a variable cross section. The cross section. this opening is controlled by a box 101 which is arranged in a chamber 102.
The chamber 102 is connected by a capillary tube 103 to a container 108 in the machine inlet, which contains a fluid that expands or contracts when the temperature changes. The can 101 expands and contracts under the action of changes in the inlet temperature. The opening 100 is arranged in a line 109 in which a machine-driven pump 104 is arranged, the delivery of which cannot be changed at a constant speed.
The pump is driven at the engine speed or at a speed proportional to the machine speed, with the entire pump delivery flowing through the opening 100.The inlet of the pump 104 is connected to a line 105, which serves as a feed line for the fuel pump. Line 109 opens again into line 105 downstream of opening 100.
A bleed line 106 leads from a point upstream of the opening 100 from the line 109 to the compartment 56 'of the membrane chamber, while a further bleed line 107 downstream of the opening 100 from the line 109 to the compartment 57' of the membrane chamber on the other side of the mem bran 58 'leads.
The flow of liquid through orifice 100 is proportional to the engine speed, and if the cross-section of orifice 100 is controlled to be proportional to the square root of the engine inlet temperature, the pressure differential across diaphragm 58 'is proportional to the instantaneous speed divided by the Square root of the inlet temperature, that is. the corrected speed.
The above-described control device for setting the bleeding valve device can also be combined with a device for automatically changing the setting of adjustable guide vanes of the compressor, as they are e.g. B. is described in the Swiss patent veryift No. 291306.
Such as B. Fig. 1 shows, the same servo motor 42 can be used to control both the bleeding valve device and the guide vanes, the piston of the servo motor 42 being connected by means of links 110 to a crank 111 which adjusts the guide vanes at the compressor inlet.
