Description
Lichtreflektierender Schuh.
Light reflective shoe. It is known that in today's and constantly increasing traffic by vehicles of all kinds, despite the regulations in the Motor Vehicle Act and the good lighting prescribed therein at night, pedestrians are repeatedly hit. Protective measures previously proposed, such as light-reflecting brooches, buckles, buttons, armbands and belts, are mostly not worn by pedestrians.
A light-reflecting shoe made known by Swiss patent no. 287542 has not found entry, since the manufacture of soles or heels impregnated with light-reflecting compounds, as proposed by the inventor of the above patent, was much too expensive.
The present invention consists in that a light-reflecting covering is attached to the shoe joint, between the sole and the heel of a shoe.
It is most useful to glue a light-reflecting film to the joint or to attach such a plate to the joint. But it is also conceivable to use light-reflecting paints or layers, e.g. B. chemical agents provided with phosphors to apply to the shoe joint.
The wearer of such shoes is significantly better protected, since the pedestrian from the motor vehicle is recognized from a significantly greater distance than before, even when the headlights are turned off. In addition, walking creates a flashing light reflex that is better to warn the driver of the vehicle than a constant, weak light impression. Because a bright shimmer is noticeable on the bottom of the shoe wearer when the light-reflecting coating on the joint is hit directly or indirectly by a light,
pedestrians are also made aware of the approaching vehicle and cautioned.
