Borste.
Bristle. The present invention relates to a novel bristle, which is characterized in that it is made of at least one synthetic material, such as. B. regenerated cellulose, viscose, polyamides, - polyurethanes, polyvinyl resins, polyacrylic esters, polyethylene glycol terephthalates, polyacrylonitriles and the like, and a grinding or
Polishing agent.
The bristle according to the invention can contain the abrasive or polishing agent in the synthetic material evenly or unevenly.
The known agents are suitable as grinding or polishing agents. So you can add bristles, which are to be used for brushes intended for grinding, preferably emery, electrical corundum, silicon carbide, diamond or glass splinters, etc., while in those cases in which the bristles are to be used for polishing purposes, titanium dioxide, Polishing emery gel, slurry emery, optical abrasive powder, polishing red, lapping powder and the like can add to the synthetic material.
The production of the bristle according to the invention can, for. B. by casting, welding, gluing, pressing, spraying, wrapping, a roll, etc. take place. The polishing agent or abrasive can be added to the spinning solution containing the synthetic material in the molten state, and this material can be subjected to a spinning process and the usual further processing, a bristle being obtained in which the polishing agent or grinding agent in the synthetic material is obtained shares is.
On the other hand, the spinneret can also be designed in such a way that when the spinning material emerges it is sprayed or dusted with polishing or grinding material. The polishing or grinding material can also be added to the coagulating medium in which the bristle material is brought to coagulate, the polishing or grinding material mainly adhering to the surface of the bristle material. However, depending on the amount of synthetic material being ejected from the spinneret, polishing or
Eject grinding material in such a way that the synthetic material flows out in the form of a tube and envelops the polishing or grinding material and the two materials then form a whole.
If the abrasive grain is coarser, it is advisable to produce a thin layer on the bristle surface that does not contain any abrasive. This jacket acts as a protective layer against wear when the bristles rub against each other. Such protective layers can be applied to the bristles by pressing, spraying or a dipping process. The same synthetic material or any other suitable material can be used as materials suitable for producing such protective layers. will.
For certain bristles, it is advantageous to use the synthetic material containing the abrasive or polishing agent, e.g. B. with a tree or silk thread to cover.
Different layers or strands of synthetic material, which are interrupted by layers of any other material, can also be combined to form a bristle.
The bristle can also be designed in such a way that it consists of a metal wire coated with a synthetic material comprising a polishing or grinding agent.
The bristle described offers the advantage that grinding or polishing paste does not have to be repeatedly applied to the brush for grinding or polishing. A loss of abrasive material can thus be avoided, but also rapid wear and tear of the bristle thickness, which occurs due to the abrasive action of the means.
