Oven for burning household waste and other low-quality fuels. It is known that it is difficult to completely burn household garbage and other low-quality fuels. The reason for this lies in the high water and / or ash content and then in the uneven composition of the fuel. This last point is especially true for household rubbish.
Its calorific value is partly based on the content of easily combustible materials such as paper, cardboard, straw, etc., and partly on the content of combustion residues such as coke, coal, etc., which experience has shown to burn much more slowly than the former.
If the incineration is used not only to destroy the rubbish in a hygienic way, but also to utilize the heat it contains, care should be taken to ensure that all components are burned as completely as possible. Every furnace construction that wants to meet these requirements must therefore have elements for carrying out a pre-drying of the freshly added refuse, for burning the easily combustible components and finally for burning the hardly combustible components.
There are furnace designs are known in which the pre-drying of the freshly supplied th rubbish and the combustion of the easily combustible components on a mechanical moving grate and the combustion of the hardly combustible components in an afterburning device, eg. B. in the form of a gas generator is carried out.
If the combination of these elements already presents some constructional difficulties, the previous solutions of the subsequent connection device and the automatic removal of the slag mass are unsatisfactory and do not guarantee continuous, automatic operation of the furnace.
The subject of the present inven tion now forms a furnace for burning household waste and other inferior fuels, which is able to perfectly solve the task of completely utilizing the flame-retardant constituents and automatically removing the slag.
The furnace is characterized in that the afterburning device for the less combustible fuel parts is designed as a vertical shaft and is directly connected to the combustion grate for the more easily combustible fuel parts that is fed into this shaft, and that a chain of scrapers runs through underneath the afterburning device on which the In halt the post-combustion device rests and continuously removes the slag.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the inventive furnace is shown for example.
1 with the hopper is referred to, which is loaded with fresh waste. The vertical shaft 2 adjoining the filling funnel, which ensures the air-tight closure of the oven, guides the refuse onto the pre-drying grate 3. Several such grids could also be provided. From the pre-drying grate 3, the waste reaches the combustion grate 5, which feeds the afterburning device 7.
The pre-drying takes place on the pre-drying grate 3, partly under the influence of the hot gases flowing over the free surface of the garbage, partly through the radiation from the masonry and the hot gases themselves. If these measures are not yet sufficient, hot gases can be blown in underneath the pre-drying grate. B. can be taken from the space above the combustion grate 5 NEN, according to path 4.
If necessary, clean air can also be blown under the pre-drying grate to cause lively combustion there. The refuse, which is already burning in part, now falls on the main grate 5. Here, the easily combustible components burn under the influence of the cold or preheated air that is blown into zone 6 below the grate.
At the end of the main grate, only the slag remains, including the coke and coal pieces from the residues from the fire. Their combustion takes place in the post-combustion device 'T directly adjoining the grate 5, under the influence of the air and / or water vapor stream blown in through the nozzles 8.
This combustion can take place with or without a lack of oxygen, in which case the device 7 acts as a gas generator. The device 7 is now formed according to the invention as a vertical shaft, and its content 9 rests on a chain of scrapers 10 carried out under the shaft. At the shaft 7 is at least one side wall of the lower. Partly inclined, specifically preferably the rear wall 11 of the lower part of the shaft 7 as seen in the direction of movement of the part of the chain 10 running past the shaft exit.
The inclination of the wall in question at the exit part of the shaft is advantageously chosen so that, on the one hand, an even lowering of the shaft contents is guaranteed under the influence of the chain movement and, on the other hand, the chain hoist is minimized. The incline of the wall can be adjusted. This ensures that the slag can be removed from the shaft 7 by the chain 10 without congestion. The scraper chain 10 is designed as an endless belt. The lower part of the shaft 7 protrudes into a tub or a channel 12 which is filled with water so that the corresponding slag is deleted immediately.
The chain 10 is via corresponding bearings 1.3, 14 in the channel 12 is introduced. A rising ramp 15 is connected to the channel 12, on which the chain lies and is guided accordingly. The ramp 15 leads to a loading point 16 through which the slag is loaded into tipping wagons 17 which can be retracted underneath. The chain 10 is then returned via corresponding bearings 18, 19, 20 under the outlet opening of the shaft 7.
The construction explained enables the furnace to work automatically and free of congestion, because the burning of the less combustible parts and the removal of the slag can be properly ensured.
