The low temperature carbonisation gases escaping from the degassing zone (B), the smouldering-fire zone (C) and the glowing zone (D) are swirled by the secondary air which is introduced, from the secondary air nozzles (F) in the casing (2) of the combustion space (1), in the direction of the arrows tangentially against the surface of the conical heap (9) at half the conical-heap height (H/2), ignited, and, after burning off, leave the combustion space (1) after participating in the superposed cyclone flow upwards smoke-free and precleaned of fly ash.
