Description
Einmachgefϯ.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Einmachgefäss mit Unterteil und Deckel welches gefϯ dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, da¯ der Deckel mindestens einen Kanal aufweist, der von einer begrenzten Schmelzzone ans naeh dem Rande des Deekels führt, zum Zwecke, dass beim Einmachen auf die Schmelzzone aufgelegtes und dann dureh die Wärme des Gefässinhaltes geschmolzenes Ma- terial, wie Paraffin, Wachs usw.,
ni der Trenn fuge zwischen Unterteil und Deckel fliessen kann und dann durch Kapillarwirkung und durch das mit der fort schreitenden Abkühlung des Gefässinhaltes entstehende Vakuum in einen Raum zwisehen Unterteil und Deckel gezogen wird, um da nach Erstarren einen dichten Versehluss zu bilden.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungs- gegenstandes ist in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellt.

Das in den Fig. l und 2 der Zeichnung dargestellteEinmachgefässl und 5 weist einen Unterteil I auf, der den Wulst 2 besitzt, der eine von der Abrimdung 3 naeli unten und innen geneigte, obere Fläehe 4 aufweist, auf welcher der Deckel 5 mit seinem über den Hals 2a des Unterteils 1 greifenden Rand 6 aufliegt. Damit der Deckel gut auf dieser Fläche aufliegt, ist der Rand 6 des Deckels etwas hoher als der Hals 2a des Teils 1. Dieser Hals und der innere Durehmesser des Randes 6 sind so bemessen dal zwischen ihnen der Zwischenraum 7 gebildet wird. Innen am Rand 6 sind zum Beispiel mindestens drei in den Zwischenraum 7 ragende Rippen zum Zentrieren des Deekels 5 senkreeht angebracht.
Der Deckel 5 besitzt innerhalb des Randes 6 einen ringförmigen, unter den obern Rand 2b des Unterteils 1 herunterragenden Wulst 8, dessen äussere Beg grenzung 9 so ausgebildet ist, dass diese VOlE Bande 6 nach der Spitze des Wulstes 8 hin Gefälle hat. Wenn nun das Glas I mit kochend heisser Konfitüre gefüllt wird, so soll der Wulst 8 des sofort aufgelegten Deckels 5 in die Konfitüre 10 tauchen. Der Deckel weist an seiner Oberfläche eine W¯lbung 11 auf, die so verläuft, dass die durch die Erhebung 12 begrenzten Kanäle 13 nach dem Rand 6 hin Gefälle haben. Die zentrale Schmelzzone 13a und die KanÏle 13 konnten auch durch Vertiefungen im Deckel 5 gebildet sein.
Der am besten schon vorgewärmt auf den Teil 1 aufgelegte Deckel 5 wird durch die heisse Konfit re durch Wärme- übertragung rasch erwärmt, so dass eine auf die Sehmelzzone 13a aufgelegte Paraffintablette 14 geschmolzen wird, wonach das flüssige Paraffin aus der Schmelzzone 13a und durch die Kanäle 13 ber den Rand 6 zu der Trennfuge zwischen dem Unterteil 1 und dem Deekel 5 fliesst und sieh auf deren ganzem Umfang verteilt und dann durch Kapillarwirkung und das mit der fortsehreitenden Abkühlung des Gefässinhaltes entstehende Vakuum zwischen den Hals 2a des Teils 1 md den Rand 6 hineingesogen wird, wo es nach dem Erstarren den Paraffinverschlu¯ 15 bildet.
Durch den Wulst 8 wird der Raum ber dem Gefϯinhalt in die beiden RÏume 16 und 17 unterteilt. Etwa über den Hals 2a gezogenes Paraffin muss deshalb im Raume 17 erstarren. Durch die Trennung der RÏume wird erreicht, dass vor dem Erstarren des Paraffins keine Luft von au¯en in den Raum 16 eindringen kann. An der Randpartie 9 des Wulstes 8 etwa von Kondenswasser gebildete Tröpfehen können die Bildung des Paraffinverschlusses nicht beeinträchtigen, da diese naeh dem Gefässinhalt hin abfliessen müssen.
Der Unterteil 1 k¯nnte aueh wie in Fig. 3 dargestellt ausgebildet werden, indem der Rand 6 des Deckels 5 durch eine Erhöhung 18 des Wulstes 2 überlappt würde, und das Paraffin in den Spalt 19 zwischen Unterteil 1 und Deckel 5 eintritt.
Die Teile 1, 5 k¯nnen aus Glas bestehen.
Preserving jars.
The subject of the present invention is a preserving vessel with a lower part and a lid, which is characterized in that the lid has at least one channel that leads from a limited melting zone to the edge of the lid, for the purpose of being placed on the melting zone during the canning then through the warmth of the contents of the vessel melted material such as paraffin, wax etc.,

The Einmachgefäßl and 5 shown in Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing has a lower part I, which has the bead 2, which has an upper surface 4 inclined from the Abrimdung 3 naeli below and inside, on which the lid 5 with its over the neck 2a of the lower part 1 gripping edge 6 rests. So that the lid rests well on this surface, the edge 6 of the lid is slightly higher than the neck 2a of part 1. This neck and the inner diameter of the edge 6 are dimensioned so that the space 7 is formed between them. On the inside of the edge 6, for example, at least three ribs protruding into the space 7 are attached vertically to center the ceiling 5.
The cover 5 has within the edge 6 an annular bead 8 protruding below the upper edge 2b of the lower part 1, the outer boundary 9 of which is designed so that this VOlE band 6 has a slope towards the tip of the bead 8. If the jar I is now filled with boiling hot jam, the bead 8 of the lid 5, which is immediately placed on, should dip into the jam 10. The cover has a bulge 11 on its surface, which extends in such a way that the channels 13 delimited by the elevation 12 have a slope towards the edge 6. The central melting zone 13a and the channels 13 could also be formed by depressions in the cover 5.
The lid 5, which is best placed on the part 1 already preheated, is quickly heated by the hot jam by heat transfer, so that a paraffin tablet 14 placed on the melting zone 13a is melted, after which the liquid paraffin from the melting zone 13a and through the channels 13 flows over the edge 6 to the joint between the lower part 1 and the cover 5 and looks distributed over its entire circumference and then sucked in between the neck 2a of the part 1 and the edge 6 by capillary action and the vacuum created with the continuing cooling of the vessel contents where it forms the paraffin seal 15 after solidification.
The bead 8 divides the space above the vessel contents into the two spaces 16 and 17. Paraffin drawn approximately over the neck 2a must therefore solidify in the space 17. The separation of the rooms ensures that no air can penetrate into the room 16 from outside before the paraffin solidifies. Droplets formed by condensation water, for example, on the edge portion 9 of the bead 8 cannot impair the formation of the paraffin seal, since these have to flow off near the contents of the vessel.
The lower part 1 could also be designed as shown in FIG. 3, in that the edge 6 of the lid 5 would be overlapped by an elevation 18 of the bead 2, and the paraffin enters the gap 19 between the lower part 1 and the lid 5.
Parts 1, 5 can be made of glass.
