Control device on a drilling machine, which has an electrical signal device which is controlled automatically. The invention relates to a control device on a drilling machine, which has an electrical signal device which is automatically controlled as a function of deviations of the drill from its predetermined direction and depth as well as when the drill breaks during operation.
The device according to the invention is intended to improve an electrical control device combined with the drill in such a way that it ensures maximum operational safety of the machine by automatically coming into operation when the above-mentioned malfunctions occur. According to the invention, the device is characterized by a releasably connected to a machine part, a drilling spindle part closed sen surrounding control arm made of electrically nonconductive material, which control arm has an electrical contact that occurs in the operation of the machine when the mentioned deviations of the drill to a given Closes a circuit that actuates a signal from the signaling device and interrupts the operation of the drill.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown simplified by only the machine parts directly related to the invention completely, the only indirectly related parts, however, are shown greatly simplified. It shows: Fig.l the parts of a drilling machine in which the drilling spindle is mounted, the spindle is in the rest position and is seated on the momentarily currentless contact ring of the control arm.
FIG. 2 shows a section along the arrow A in FIG. 1 through a detail of the device, a with the direction of view as arrow B.
The machine parts 1 and 2 are constituent parts of the drill and are connected to a carriage, not shown, with which they are movable in the vertical direction on the machine stand. In the upper machine part 2, a driver 7 is rotatably mounted, which is connected to the drive motor, not shown, and in wel chem the upper end of a drilling spindle 3 is rotatably mounted, such that the drilling spindle can be pivoted on all sides within small limits and at the same time axially can be moved.
The lower end of the spindle, which carries the drilling head 4, is supported by the intermediary of a flexible coupling device 6 in the un tern machine part 1, so that the drilling spindle 3 move both in the radial and in the axial direction within certain small limits and after a can automatically align the existing center punch to be drilled.
The flexible coupling device 6 has two approximately plate-shaped parts 6a and 6b as main elements, which are supported against one another via a transversely directed weighing beam 6d located on part 6b. The lower plate 6a indicates the bearing 5 of the spindle 3 contained therein. The spindle is supported by means of the inclined surface 24 via balls on the inclined surface 25 of the part 6a.
The relationship of this plate 6a to the spindle is. in such a way that, when the coupling device is released, it can participate in all radial and axial movements of the spindle, which are at most a fraction of a millimeter. The upper plate 6b has a hollow cylindrical, externally threaded extension 6e which surrounds the drilling spindle and extends into the machine part 1, where it is screwed in, while the plate 6b firmly connected to it carries a bolt 6c, the sen after Is guided above the protruding end in the Ma machine part 1 and the coupling device secures against rotation.
The function of the coupling device 6 is to be the lower bearing 6a of the drilling spindle, which is slightly loosened at the beginning of the drilling operation, so that you can align the drill and the spindle after the graining in the workpiece, at the moment when the drilling feed through gentle lowering of the machine parts 1 and \ 'begins and thereby exerts an axial pressure on the drill spindle, to be raised relative to the part 6b and by an automatic clamping device sunk in the plate 6a at the lower end of the guide pin 6c, which acts on the quietest axial pressure the drilling spindle responds to produce the coupling connection between the two parts 6a and 6b.
The coupling connection is achieved by the fact that the plate 6a pivots clockwise around the weighing beam 6d under the influence of the drilling pressure.
In normal operation of the machine, the lower end of the drilling spindle 3 does not touch the ring-shaped contact 9 because the drilling pressure lifts the spindle from the same. When the machine is at rest, on the other hand, the unloaded spindle is allowed to lower it until it rests on the same without actuating the signal device 22, because at this moment the electrical circuit is interrupted at another point, as below explained. This also lowers the lower part 6a of the coupling device 6 by a small amount, which releases the coupling between 6a and 6b and enables the lower part 6a to follow the radial deviation of the spindle 3 from the normal position.
When the spin del 3 is loaded, this is initially. slightly raised and thereby fixes the current position of the lower part 6a in relation to the upper part 6b by means of the aforementioned clamping device at the lower end of the guide bolt <B> 6e. </B>
Below the coupling device 6, see a control arm 8 made of electrically non-conductive material. The control arm has a bore through which the lower end of the drill spindle part 3 protrudes so that this end is enclosed on all sides by the control arm, and in a countersink concentric to the hole axis, an annular contact 9, which the drill spindle at this point with so much radial Game encloses than the permissible radial deviation of the drilling head from its normal position in which the spindle axis coincides with the hole axis of the arm 8.
The control arm 8 is removable and has for this purpose a detachable fastening device 10, 11, by means of which it can be detachably attached to the -, llaschinerroberteil 1, whereby it occupies its exact position in relation to the drilling spindle 3 itself, as will be described in detail later.
3lit the machine part 1 is. the fastening bolt 10, with a thread at the lower end, firmly connected and carries a nut 11. The nut has on the support side a concentric conical approach with the threaded hole, which when tightening in a conical countersink of the matching with the conical approach of the mother Control arm 8 penetrates appropriately, the control arm is precisely centered and there is no play in it. The countersink is concentric to the thread bolzena_xe.
Between the control arm 8 and the machine part 1, a support 12 made of insulating material is inserted and held on the machine part 11 by the bolt 10. In a recess, the support 12 carries a current-conducting insert 13 which has the shape of a countersunk slotted screw and is provided with an internal thread. A conductor rod 14 is screwed into it, to which a conductor 19 of the circuit of a signal system. is connected, in which circuit a signaling device 22, which can include several individual signals, and the power source required to operate the signals are switched on. The conductor rod 14 is insulated from the metallic machine parts 1 and 2 by insulating sleeves 15 and 16.
The lower end of the insulating sleeve 15 protrudes into a countersink of the support 12 and secures the same against rotation about the bolt 10. In the extended axis of the insert 13, a current-conducting alignment element 17 is firmly anchored in the control arm 8. This alignment element is conductively connected to the ring-shaped contact 9 via a conductor 18 embedded in the insulating mass of the control arm and has a straight, wedge-shaped cutting edge which penetrates the slot of the insert 13 when the control arm is clamped firmly, aligns the control arm precisely and at the same time the electrical connection to the conductor rod 14 is made.
To ensure perfect contact, both mechanically and electrically, between the insert 13 and the alignment element 17 of the control arm 8, the end face of the support 12 adjacent to the control arm is offset so that only a narrow bar 21 is on the latter remains, on which the control arm can weigh during clamping until the cutting edge of the part 17 comes to rest firmly on the slot edges of the part 13. The alignment elements 13, 17 prevent any deviation of the control arm from its normal position.
The signaling device 22 can see visual or acoustic signals, as well as consist of both at the same time.
In its circuit, a switch S is turned on, which can be a manual switch or a relay switch whose coil is energized parallel to the drive motor, and in series a contact device 23 automatically controlled by the machine, for example a contact roller rotating with the machine drive. The contact device 23 has the task of interrupting the signal circuit at certain operating times or of only closing the circuit when the machine is working. Because then the lower end of the drilling spindle is lifted from the annular contact 9 by the drilling pressure, the signal circuit is interrupted at this point.
If a drill breaks during operation or if there is an impermissible deviation from its predetermined direction in the case of a grain of a work piece, or if the hole is unintentionally drilled through in the case of a thin workpiece in which the hole depth is less than its material thickness, the hole is unintentionally drilled the lower end of the spindle with the ring-shaped contact 9 close the signal circuit and thereby set the Signaleinrich device 22 in function and interrupt the operating current of the machine.
