Additional device for telephone subscriber stations. The present invention is. an additional device for telephone subscriber stations, the same is marked. by at least one loudspeaker, an optional in and out of operation Ver stronger to power the loudspeaker and by means for coupling the amplifier input to a subscriber station for the purpose of reproducing an incoming call in the loudspeaker. .
In the drawing, for example, some embodiments of the subject of the invention are schemat.isell bar frame. They show: Fig. 1 the circuit diagram. of the additional device with direct coupling of the amplifier by means of a transformer to the participant merapparat, Fig.2 the partial diagram of the device for inductive coupling to the im.
Subscriber apparatus existing transmitter, FIG. 3 shows the partial diagram of the device for inductive coupling to the telephone receiver of the partial bucket station, FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of the additional device in a front view.
a table part nierapparat placed on it, Fig..5 a side view. of the additional device according to FIG. 4, FIG. 6 shows an embodiment of the additional device according to the circuit diagram of FIG. 3, in front view and partially in section, FIG. 7 is a side view of FIG. Cut.
According to the view of FIG. 1, the additional device. 1.0 in a first Ausfüh approximately a loudspeaker 11, a Ver stronger 12 to feed the loudspeaker, a power supply and Gleiehriehter unit 13 to enable the connection of the Ver stronger, to the AC distribution network with., Means of a plug, 14, a Switch 15 for optionally switching the amplifier on and off and a transformer 16 on,
the secondary side of which is connected to the input of the amplifier 12, while its primary side is connected to terminals 17. The amplifier preferably contains directly heated electron tubes, which require practically no warm-up time after the device has been put into operation, so that the device is ready for operation practically immediately after being switched on. The elements 11, 1.2.
13, 15 and 16 are installed in a common housing, which can have the shape shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. According to this example, the housing of the additional device 10 is designed as a base for placing a table participant device 18 on top. The loudspeaker 11 is, as indicated in FIG. 5,
in a separate position on the underside of the clevis, which has a sound opening 1.9 at the front. On. The cable retainer 15 is arranged on the front wall of the housing. As well as a rotary knob 20 for manual control of the volume or the degree of amplification of the amplifier 12 and a signal lamp 21, which shows whether the device is in operation or not.
When installing the additional device described, the connection terminals 17 are connected to the connection terminals 22 of the telephone receiver 23 of the subscriber set so that the primary side of the transformer 16 is parallel to the receiver 23 (FIG. 1). The input impedance between the terminals 17 of the device can be selected to be very high compared to the impedance of the handset 23, so that the additional device is practically no burden for the listener and only absorbs a small part of the speech energy arriving at the telephone station.
If the switch 15 is closed, the incoming Ge conversation is amplified in the amplifier 12 and made audible through the speaker 11, when the switch 15 is open, however, it is only audible in the telephone receiver itself.
With the aid of the additional device described, a telephone conversation can, for example, be made understandable to several people present at the same time, so that the content of the conversation does not have to be communicated to the other people afterwards. However, the additional device also enables the person making the call to temporarily move away from the subscriber device during the communication. For example, if the person you are speaking to has to leave the apparatus to search for a file or the like, so needs. the listener does not during the waiting time. to be held to the ear all the time.
In this case, the amplifier 12 is switched on and work can be continued. As soon as the partner answers again, his speech can be heard loudly and clearly in the loudspeaker, even if you are some distance away. Another advantage of the additional device is that when telephoning you are not forced to always hold the receiver or the wireless telephone to your head.
The latter can also be placed on the table so that both hands remain free for following up notes, opening books, etc., while the telephone conversation can still continue. If the eavesdropping of third parties is to be avoided, the device remains switched off during the telephone conversation.
Certain telephone authorities do not allow the direct coupling of the amplifier input to the subscriber set using a transformer. In this case, the additional device 10 can be used for inductive coupling of the amplifier. set up on the subscriber set. Such an exemplary embodiment is shown schematically in FIG.
At the input of the amplifier 12 there is an induction coil? 4 with an iron core that is not. is closed in itself, so has an air gap. This induction coil 24 is located. located immediately below the top of the in Fic. 4 and 5 shown housing of the additional device 10, wherein the housing must consist of a magnetically non-conductive material, for example thermoplastic.
If the subscriber device 18 set up on the device 10 does not have an iron base, the induction coil 24 is then penetrated by the stray field of the transmitter 25 (Fig. "') Present in the subscriber device,
This results in an inductive coupling between the converter 25 and the induction coil 24 and there with the amplifier 12. The application and mode of operation of the additional device remain the same as in the first example. Also, look now. the advantage that the additional device does not have a galvanic connection to the subscriber set and is easily removed from it. or with another device. can be brought to cooperation.
With the inductive coupling of the amplifier, however, it must have a greater gain than in the first case, but this can easily be achieved with the current state of the art. In practice, on the other hand, measures are required to keep interfering fields away from the induction coil 24 given the high sensitivity of the device. This will expediently be shielded on all sides against electrical fields and, with the exception of one side, also against magnetic interference fields.
It is advantageous to install the induction coil 24 in a pot made of a material resistant to welding, such as iron or iron alloys, and to close the open side of the pot with an electrically conductive, but magnetically non-conductive metal foil, for example made of copper or aluminum, etc.
As a result, the electrical shielding on all sides and, at the same time, the magnetic shielding is achieved on all but one side, on which the desired leakage flux of the transmitter 25 can enter the induction coil 24.
The input of amplifier 12 can be used in a similar manner instead. be inductively coupled with the transmitter 25 also with the telephone handset 23 of the subscriber device, which case is illustrated schematically in FIG. 3 .. light. The housing of the additional device 10 can now have the shape shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.
In particular, it has a part 26 forming a niche, in which the receiver 23, for example the microtelephone 27, can be set, as can be clearly seen from the drawing.
In the niche, an insert 28 is releasably attached, which for holding the listener in the correct position with respect to the inside of the niche is arranged, in Fig.6 and 7 not. Drawn induction coil? 4- serves, and can optionally be exchanged for another if the Zteatzgerät is to come for use at a subscriber station with a handset of a different embodiment.
A bracket 29, which is movable within certain limits and with it, is also used to hold the microtelephone 27 firmly. the switch 15 is in operative connection. The circumstances are such that when the receiver 23 is inserted into the niche, it is weighted by its own weight. the switch 15 closes automatically by means of the bracket 29, while the switch 15 is interrupted when the receiver is taken out.
This results in an automatic start-up of the amplifier when the receiver is inserted into the niche, and an automatic switch-off of the amplifier,; when the listener is removed from the niche. The holder 15 is preferably one with a snap action which jumps either into the closed or into the open position when the bracket 29 is actuated.
For subscriber stations with a microphone 27, the additional device 10 is formed or the niche is arranged in the same such that the sound outlet opening of the receiver 23 inserted into the niche is directed forward so that the microphone 30 can be discussed from the front.
If you want to make an incoming call audible with the described embodiment of the additional device, you simply insert the handset 23 as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 in the niche provided for this purpose in the device, which automatically induces the inductive coupling between the handset and the amplifier 12 and at the same time the latter is put into operation. You only have to adjust the volume using the rotary knob 20 according to @ N, Tiinsch.
The discussion of the microphone 30 can easily be carried out during the operation of the additional device. take place because the microphone is in a particularly favorable position for this. has plan. therefore both hands may be free to carry out work when telephoning. Unintentional eavesdropping by third parties is excluded with this version of the additional device because the incoming call is only played back through the loudspeaker when the receiver is inserted into the niche of the housing.
Using a handle 31. , the device can easily be brought into the most favorable position for the respective needs during operation. When the microphone 27 is inserted, the microphone 30 is in such a position that the occurrence of whistling tones resulting from acoustic feedback is avoided as far as possible.
In the examples described, the amplifier 12 is intended to be fed from the light power distribution network. It is, however, easily possible to set up the amplifier to be powered by batteries.
