Die Figuren der beiliegenden Zeichnung zeigen schematisch Ausführungsbeispiele der erfindungsgemässen Anlage. Fig.1 zeigt bei spielsweise eine Anlage, in welcher die im Reaktor erzeugte Wärme mittels eines Wärme trägers in einem primären Wärmeaustauscher auf in einem separaten Kreislauf zirkulieren des Wasser übertragen wird, wobei dieses zu Sattdampf verdampft;
Plant for the industrial utilization of the heat generated in a nuclear reactor: The industrial utilization of the energy released in a nuclear reactor (pile) is currently only possible indirectly via a means that dissipates the heat to the outside. With the cooling process of the reactor, a thermodynamic cycle is connected, the efficiency of which is dependent in a known manner on the maximum temperature of the working medium. On the other hand is. the temperature occurring in the reactor is limited by the physical properties of the substances used.
It is at most about 250 C and is. therefore too low to allow economical overheating of the resulting steam.
It would be conceivable to relax the saturated steam generated directly in the reactor or indirectly via a primary heat transfer medium in a suitable turbine. However, it is much more economical to bring it to the required temperature beforehand in a superheater of known construction which is separate from the nuclear reactor. The invention accordingly relates to a plant for the industrial utilization of the heat generated in a core reactor and is characterized by a heat exchanger that is locally separated from the reactor and operated with conventional fuels, with the help of which the working fluid of a thermodynamic cycle is increased to a higher, economic temperature is brought.
The system can be supplemented by an additional heat exchanger in which the heat supplied to the heated heat exchanger is transferred to the working fluid of the thermodynamic cycle by a special heat transfer medium.
It can easily be proven that the energy supplied to your heated heat exchanger in the fuel is used very well by significantly improving the efficiency of the process. Another advantage of the separate heat exchanger is that it can be set up at a point in the plant that is completely protected from the harmful radiation from the reactor, which makes maintenance work on the sensitive devices and machines much easier, which must be taken into account ,
that the steam turbine can be regarded as less sensitive than, for example, the combustion chamber of the heated heat exchanger.
The figures of the accompanying drawing show schematically exemplary embodiments of the system according to the invention. 1 shows, for example, a system in which the heat generated in the reactor is transferred by means of a heat carrier in a primary heat exchanger to the water circulating in a separate circuit, this evaporating to form saturated steam;
According to FIG. 2, another heat exchanger is provided in the circuit of the thermodynamic process, in which the heat supplied to the heated heat exchanger is transferred to the working medium of the cycle by a special heat carrier circulating in a further circuit.
In Fig. 1, 1 schematically represents a core reactor, 2 in particular its heat-generating mass. A heat transfer medium enters the reactor through line 3 and, after it has been heated, leaves it through line 4, which then feeds it to heat exchanger -6. A circulating pump 5 ensures uniform circulation of the heat transfer medium. In the present example, saturated steam is generated from water in the heat exchanger 6 if water is used as the working medium of the thermodynamic cycle.
The saturated steam is removed from the dome 7 of the heat exchanger 6 and fed to the heated heat exchanger 9 through the line 8.
(In the present example, this heated heat exchanger could also be referred to as a superheater.) Combustion air can be fed to the heat exchanger 9 through a line 12, which combustion air previously sucked in by a fan 10 and passed through an air heater 11 heated by the exhaust gases from the heat exchanger 9 has been. The burner 14 of the heat exchanger receives the fuel through the line 13.
The steam, which is now overheated, flows to the steam turbine 15 and is then partially condensed in the condenser 17. The turbine 15 can be tapped in a well-known manner and the bleed steam can be fed through lines 19 feedwater preheaters 20 through which the condensate through the condensate nozzle 18 is pressed. 21 is a feed water tank and 22 is a feed water pump.
Through the line. 23 the water used as the working fluid of the thermodynamic cycle flows back to the heat exchanger 6. At 24 one of the protective walls required in systems with core reactors is indicated.
In Fig. 2 the same apparatus, machines, etc. are provided with the same reference numbers as described above. In addition, this figure shows another protective wall at 25, with the aid of which the heated heat exchanger 9 with the associated apparatus and machines can be shielded even better than in the example described above.
26 is an additional heat exchanger in which a special heat transfer medium circulates that is fed to your heated heat exchanger 9 through line 27. A circulation pump 28 ensures the circulation of this heat transfer medium, which flows back from the pump through line 29 to the additional heat exchanger. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that in most cases in the circuit of the thermodynamic cycle, water and the resulting water vapor as a result of evaporation are advantageously used as working media.
Both in the circuit of the nuclear reactor as well as in the additional circuit of the heated heat exchanger shown in Fig. 2, however, any other suitable heat carrier, for example bismuth or helium, in the core reactor or any gas in the circuit of the heat exchanger 26, be used.
