Gasturbinenanlage.
Die Spule 34 des Relais ist in einen Strom kreis eingeschaltet, der Relais-Schalterkon- takte 35a besitzt, deren Betätigungsspule 35 parallel zum Anlassermotor geschaltet ist, so dass ,sie Strom empfängt-, wenn dem Anlasser- inotor 23 Strom zugeführt wird;
Gas turbine plant. The present invention relates to clastarbine plants, e.g. B. jet engines that have a Gxast-ttii-eing to drive the compressor.
To start a gas turbine system, a starter motor is usually used, by means of which the rotor of the system is brought to a certain speed, which, however, is generally not very high, since the available power of such a motor is only low compared to the turbine power.
This shows that the system must be able to run on its own at a speed with which the system motor can drive it. The combustion process and the compressor characteristics in a gas turbine system are such that:
If the system is left out, disproportionate changes in the relationship between air and fuel flow can occur, which can cause high temperatures that can lead to damage to the system.
Such high temperatures are to be avoided by the inventive design of the C-turbine system. The invention is for this purpose in a gas turbine system with a fuel system that has a fuel supply to the machine, a tap through which fuel from the 1)
i-uekleit.ung can be tapped, furthermore eiti electrically operated valve for turning on and turning off the tapping of fuel from the pressure line into the tapping line, power supply lines to operate the valve, a low-current operated relay to control the power supply to the valve and a thermoelectric system , device responding to temperature changes in the hot working gas of the machine, which is connected to the mentioned relay in such a way that,
when the temperature of this hot working gas exceeds a predetermined value, the valve is supplied with current to open this valve in order to draw fuel from the pressure line, whereby the temperature .des hot gas can be lowered.
When using standard thermocouples, this arrangement enables the necessary structural facilities to be designed in a relatively simple and easy-to-use manner. When using such standard thermocouples as a thermoelectric device, the use of amplifier tubes can also be avoided. The relay is conveniently a polarized relay.
The tapping from the fuel pressure line is expediently done through a small opening with a fixed cross-section, so that when the valve is open, a predetermined amount of fuel is tapped from the fuel line. can be.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is to be explained in more detail with the aid of the accompanying drawing. 1 shows a side view of a jet engine, FIG. 2 shows, on a larger scale, parts of a fuel system with an associated controller, and FIG. 3 shows a variant of FIG.
The jet engine shown in FIG. 1 has a compressor 10 with a double-sided air inlet 11, the compressor 10 through the channels 12 for conveying compressed air. is determined in a ring to arranged combustion chambers 13, into which injected fuel from a distribution line 14 by means of branch lines 15 and injection nozzles 16. can be.
The fuel is burned in the air in the combustion chambers 13, and the combustion products are supplied with the excess air by means of a nozzle device 18 to a turbine 17 for the purpose of driving the same.
To drive the compressor, the turbine 17 is connected in a known manner to the compressor 10 by means of a shaft, and the exhaust gases emitted by the turbine 17 reach an exhaust gas line 19 which has a jet pipe 19a through which these exhaust gases are used to generate thrust expelled into the atmosphere at high speed.
The fuel is fed to the distribution line 14 by means of a fuel pump 20 which is attached to the machine and such. is arranged so that it can be driven by the machine via a transmission housed in a housing 21. The fuel supply to the distribution line 14 and thus to the injection nozzles 16 is. controllable by means of a throttle 22, wherein the fuel pump 20 and the throttle 22 are expediently designed as a unit in a known manner, -to facilitate their assembly on the machine housing zit.
The gear housing 21 carries an elec tric motor 23, which is ver through the gear arranged in the housing 21 with the machine connected. and is used to temper the latter. In Fig. 'The fuel system and the starter circuit is schematically Darge provides. The former has a fuel tank 24 from which the fuel is conveyed by means of the pump 20 through a Sangleitung 25 and, after passing the throttle 22, is fed to the injection nozzles 16 through a feed line 26.
The starter motor 23 is expediently a direct current motor and is fed via lines 27 from a corresponding direct current source. The power supply to the motor 23 can be controlled by a button switch 28. When the machine is started, the motor 23 is used to drive the machine except for a speed that is not particularly high in relation to the nominal speed of the machine. This is due to the fact that the usable power of the motor 23 is only small compared to the effective power of the turbine 7.7.
The machine must therefore be able to start under its own power at the low speed to which it can be driven by the motor 23, and it has been shown that disproportionate changes in the fuel-air ratio in the combustion chambers 13 when the machine is started and serious damage to the machine can occur as a result of excess fuel and correspondingly high temperatures in the combustion chambers, the turbine and the exhaust pipe.
By means of the arrangement according to the invention, overheating while the machine is being started can be avoided in a simple manner, the following arrangement being made in the example shown: A valve 29 is provided in the feed line 26 downstream of the throttle 22, the valve body 29a of which is the tap of fuel from the feed line 26 into the bleed line 30 can be switched on and off, the bleed line 30 leading from the valve 29 back to the fuel tank 24.
A fixed constriction 31 is provided in the bleeding line 30 downstream of the valve 29. The valve body 29a is carried by an armature 32a of a solenoid borehole 32, which can be supplied with power via lines 33 which are connected to lines 27 in parallel with the motor 23.
In addition to the control by means of the button switch 28, the power supply to the solenoid device 32 can also be controlled by means of a polarized relay 3.1, 34a, the coil 34 of which can be actuated by low power.
The coil 34 of the relay is connected to a circuit which has relay switch contacts 35a, the actuating coil 35 of which is connected in parallel with the starter motor, so that it receives power when power is supplied to the starter motor 23;
Furthermore, this circuit has several thermocouples 3ss, which are connected to one another in series and are mounted in the wall of the jet pipe 19a so that they can respond to the temperature of the gas in the jet pipe; an adjustable resistance 37 is also provided.
Furthermore, a device 38 of known design for compensating for temperature changes at the cold points of the thermocouples connected in series is provided so that false displays due to changes in the temperature of the cold points are avoided, as well as a device 39 of a known type for keeping the voltage applied to the device 38 constant .
A four-armed bridge is provided in the device 38, of which the arm 38a. is temperature sensitive, (let the ratio of the voltage applied to the circuit containing the thermocouples to the constant voltage supplied by the device 39 is changed so that temperature changes at the cold points of the thermocouples are compensated. The movable contact of the contacts 35a is. spring-loaded by a spring 40 and is thereby kept away from the contact, via which the circuit of the relay coil 34 can be closed, in order to interact with this particular contact.
The resistor 37 is used to set the temperature which the fusible points of the thermocouples 36 must reach before the contacts 34a of the low-current actuated, polarized relay 34 are closed.
The operation of the described device is as follows: When starting the button switch 28 is closed, whereby current flows through the star motor 23 and the relay coil 35, so that the contacts 35a are closed and so the circuit of the thermocouples 36, the resistor 37 and the Close relay coil 34.
If an excess of fuel is fed to the machine and the temperature in the jet pipe, to which the thermocouples 36 respond, exceeds a certain value, e.g. B. 550 C, causes the current flowing from the thermocouples 36 through the Re relay coil 34 to close the contacts 34a, so that the solenoid 32 is excited and the valve 29 opens. To tap from. Fuel from feed line 26 to allow which fuel is returned to tank 24.
This reduces the fuel supply to the engine and consequently the temperature to which the thermocouples 36 are exposed. When this temperature to which the thermocouples 36 are exposed falls below the selected value, the contacts 34a open and the valve 29 is closed, whereby the normal fuel supply is restored.
The amount of fuel drawn off on line 22 is. determined by the cross-section of the constriction 31 in the bleed line 30 and is proportional to the delivery pressure of the fuel pump 20. In the example shown, the thermocouples 36 are arranged in such a way that they are connected to the temperature display device 41 during normal operation of the machine can be connected in the pilot's seat; for this purpose is. the movable contact 35a of the relay 35, 35a arranged so that if no.
Current flows through the coil 35, is applied against a fixed contact 35b in order to close a circuit to which the temperature display device 41 and the thermocouples 36 are connected. Since this device 41 is not connected to the Thernioelemente 36 when starting, on the other hand, when the button switch 28 is open, the thermocouples 36 are connected to the device 41, which is effective.
It can be seen that in the example described, the relay 34, 34a connected in this way. is that it is only effective when the engine is started. If, on the other hand, the temperature value at which the relay 34, 34ca is effective, is selected higher. than the maximum permissible temperature of the machine in normal operation, the relay 34, 34a. be connected to the lines 27 in such a way that it is always excited when the normal operating temperature of the machine is exceeded. Such a fuel system with. The starter circuit is shown schematically in FIG.
It should be noted that the invention provides simple means for preventing an unacceptable increase in temperature in the machine when starting, with compli ed components, such as tube amplifiers, to be operated a tap using a relatively weak current or output voltage of a standard Tliermoelemeiites avoided will.
