Gas machine in which a thermodynamic cycle takes place in two rooms, the volume of which changes with a phase difference. The present invention relates to a (tas machine that contains two rooms, the volume of which can be changed with a phase difference and in which a thermodynamic cycle takes place during the operation of the machine.
As is known, in general such (asmasehinen as piston engines ausgebil det. Like the piston gas engines, these gas engines can work either as hot gas engines or as cold gas Kühlmasehinen or heat pipes.
When using pistons, there is often a significant impact on the conveyance of the working medium. This leakage load represents a significant loss of heat. Another difficulty. arises from the need to lubricate the pistons. This lubrication must be monitored continuously, with the risk that part of the lubricant will get into the regenerator.
This has a particularly unfavorable influence on the effectiveness of the regenerator. The difficulties mentioned above impair the efficiency of the machine. In certain cases it is possible to reduce the adverse effect of any of these difficulties to some extent; but this usually has the effect that the negative effect of the other eternities increases. In known embodiments of ice-gas piston machines, in which the compression and expansion in the working spaces with variable volumes and the heating and cooling in a separate heater or
If it is cooler, the expansion and compression are not isothermal, but approximately adiabatic. At the end of the expansion, the mean temperature of the working fluid is lower than it would be with isothermal expansion. The working fluid absorbs heat as it flows through the heater. -After compression, the temperature is higher than it would be with isothermal compression. When flowing through the cooler, the working fluid still gives off heat.
The invention makes it possible to improve the above-mentioned operation and to let gas engines work with greater efficiency. The inven tion relates to a gas engine in which a thermodynamic cycle takes place in operation in two rooms, the volume of which is changed with a phase difference, the wall of at least one of the rooms with variable volume being designed in the form of a bellows and between the Engine engine and this bellows there is a mechanical connection and the exchange of caloric energy takes place through the bellows wall.
With the appropriate training, it can be sufficient that the expansion or compression taking place in this working space is approximately isothermal. A special heater or cooler or both can then be dispensed with.
In the case of the bellows-type gas engine, a simple and compact design can be achieved if two bellows are arranged in alignment with one another, with an intermediate wall with heat-insulating properties, for example a wall made of asbestos, being provided between the facing end walls of these bellows .
To change the volume of the spaces delimited by the bellows, a drive train mechanism is advantageously provided which engages the partition wall and. is connected to the engine.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of a gas machine according to the invention is shown schematically.
The drawn gas machine, which is a cold gas cooling machine, for example, be seated in place of the usual cylinder and piston bellows 30 and. 31, whereby the exchange of thermal energy between the working fluid active in the machine and the heat-emitting or heat-absorbing media takes place through the bellows wall.
The bellows of this machine are connected to an engine, for example a crank mechanism, in a manner not shown. If the machine is designed as a cooling machine, the space 32 surrounding the bellows 30 represents the cooling space from which thermal energy is taken and fed through the wall of the bellows 30 to the process. The space 33 is the space used to dissipate thermal energy. Thermal energy fed through the wall of the bellows 31 to the space 33 is dissipated with the aid of a coolant which flows into this space at -1 and leaves this space at B.
The two working spaces of the cycle, that is to say the working space in the bellows 30 and the working space in the bellows 31, are connected to one another through a connecting channel 3.1 via a regenerator 35. Since the heat energy is exchanged through the walls of the ball. the usual heat supply device (with hot gas machines the heater) and the cooler can be removed.
