Gasturbinenanlage.
Fig.4 zeigt eine andere Konstruktion einer Gasturbinenanlage.
Fig. 5 zeigt eine andere Konstruktion einer Gasturbinenanlage.
Gas turbine plant. The invention relates to a gas turbine plant with a turbo engine rotor which is exposed to an axial thrust caused by the flow medium during operation of the plant, a drive shaft arranged coaxially to the rotor shaft and with a coupling arranged between the rotor shaft and the drive shaft.
In certain axial turbines occurs. In addition to the torque, there is also an axial thrust on the rotor during operation, which is approximately proportional to the torque. In a similar way, an axial thrust occurs when an axial compressor is in operation, which is also approximately proportional. to torque. can be. In the case of radial flow machines with single-sided blading, a similar thrust can arise as a result of unbalanced pressure loads on both sides of the rotor.
For example, in the case of a radial turbine or a centrifugal compressor with suction on one side, the fluid pressure on the rotor side which carries the rotor blades can be different from the pressure on the side which is exposed to the static outlet, inlet or atmospheric pressure.
The gas turbine system according to the invention now has a coupling with an external gear rim with helical teeth, which is attached to one of the two shafts mentioned, as well as with an internal gear rim with helical teeth which cooperates with the external gear rim and which is attached to the other of the two shafts is., the direction of rotation of the helical teeth is selected so that the torque transmitted through the clutch in.
the latter generated and transmitted to the rotor shaft axial thrust counteracts the rotor axial thrust caused by the flow medium.
The helical teeth permit a small axial displacement between two rotors due to the relative rotation between the two shafts. Such a shift is desirable in Kon structures in which each of the rotors must occupy a certain axial position with respect to the adjacent stator parts of the system and where the parts during operation such. B. can move axially relative to each other due to the thermal expansion of the stator.
If both rotors experience axial thrusts in the same direction, then the coupling transfers at least part of the rotor thrust from one shaft to the other, so that at least part of the thrust from both rotors can be transferred to the stator through a single thrust bearing.
If axial thrusts act in opposite directions in both rotors, then the ring gears reduce the rotor thrusts by at least a part, so that the pressure bearings that transmit the reduced thrusts to the stator can be smaller than if they were ever to carry the entire rotor thrust would have.
The helix angle of the cooperating gear rims is expediently chosen so that when the clutch transmits the torque, the axial thrusts acting on the rotor shaft are approximately balanced.
If, in such an arrangement, the rotors experience axial thrusts in the same direction, the clutch transmits the entire thrust from one shaft to the other, so that only one thrust bearing is required to transfer the total thrust that both rotors are exposed to to the stator transfer.
If the rotors experience axial thrusts in the opposite direction, the thrust bearing only has to transmit the difference between the thrusts acting on the two rotors. In practice, two thrust bearings are provided, one each to secure the position of each rotor, but these two bearings do not have to be as large as if each bearing would have to transmit the entire thrust to which the associated rotor is exposed.
The accompanying drawing shows some exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
1 and 2 are sections through compressor units of gas turbine systems, and FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 are sections through gas turbine systems.
According to Figure 1, a two-stage Zen trifugal compressor of a gas turbine system i has two single-sided suction centrifugal impellers 10, 11 which are coaxially arranged in compressor housings 12, 13 and connected by a coupling 14 between the shafts 15, 16 of the impellers.
The blades 17, 18 of the two impellers 10, 11 are each located at a distance from the turbine shaft 20, which drives both rotor shafts. The conveyed fluid of each impeller acts on its disk in such a way that each impeller is exposed to an axial thrust against its inlet opening during operation. For several reasons it is desirable that all of the axial thrust be transferred to the turbine shaft. For example, it is inexpedient to assign a relatively large thrust bearing to the impeller that is removed from the turbine shaft. lies.
It may also be desirable to use the entire thrust to counteract an opposing thrust of the drive turbine. The transfer of the entire thrust in this way to the turbine shaft is possible by arranging the at the impellers on the same shaft; but such an arrangement does not allow both Kom compressors to be produced as sub-assemblies and also not to fix each impeller axially separately; It is also possible to provide a detachable coupling for transmitting the torsion and the tensile forces, but the known couplings of this type are usually complicated, and moreover they do not allow a separate axial fixation of each impeller.
In the example according to Figure 1, an internally provided with helical teeth sleeve 21 is provided as a hitch, which is angeord net on the shaft 15 of the impeller 10 and cooperates with an associated ring gear 22, which at the adjacent end of the shaft 16 of the other Impeller is arranged; the pitch angle of the teeth is chosen so that the thrust exerted by the sprockets on the running wheel 10 is opposed to the thrust which is generated by the difference in pressures on the surfaces of this running wheel.
Thus, a thrust bearing 23 of relatively small size can be used to axially fix this impeller, and almost all of the thrust wel chem both impellers are exposed to is transmitted to the thrust bearing 24 through the shaft of the other impeller.
Another embodiment is shown in FIG. Two single-sided centrifugal impellers 30, 31 of a gas turbine system are arranged coaxially and are driven by a common drive shaft, not shown. The blades 33, 34 of the running wheels are facing away from one another, so that the thrusts that occur on the running wheels are opposite to one another. The hitch arranged between the two wheels has helical teeth 35, and by suitable choice of the pitch angle and direction of rotation of the helical shape of the teeth, the axial thrusts on the wheels can be such that they approximately compensate each other.
In this way, each running wheel can be axially fixed by a relatively weak bearing 36, and the use of bearings which accommodate large thrusts, which would be necessary with rigid couplings, is avoided.
Fig. 3 shows a gas turbine system which has a centrifugal compressor rotor 40, on which an axial thrust acts during operation, which is related to the size of the Antriebsdrehmomen tes. The air flows through the front end 41 into the compressor in order to then flow backwards into a combustion chamber 42, from where the combustion products flow through a turbine 43 in an exhaust gas duct 44 at the rear end.
The rotor 45 of the turbine 43 drives the compressor rotor 40 via the coupling of the coaxial shafts 46, 47 of the turbine and compressor rotors. During the operation of the gas turbine, a backward axial thrust acts on the rotor 45, that is to say in such a way that this thrust has the tendency to separate the turbine rotor 45 from the compressor rotor 40, while the axial thrust on the compressor rotor 40 acts in the opposite direction, i.e. forwards, against the inlet of the same.
So far, a shaft coupling between the turbine and the compressor part has been seen in machines similar to that described, which is able to absorb the resulting tensile forces in the shaft and also to transmit the torque from the turbine to the compressor. These Kupp lungs are more complicated in shape and Her position than that of the education described from, and they also do not allow the axial definition of the turbine rotor ge separated from the compressor rotor. In the present example, a simple clutch is provided, which assures an independent axial definition of the turbine rotor and the compressor rotor by means of thrust, which bearings only have to absorb relatively small forces.
For this purpose, the turbine rotor shaft 46 has an external gear rim with helical teeth 49, which cooperates with an internal gear rim 48 on the compressor rotor shaft 47. The pitch angle and the direction of rotation of the helical shape are selected so that when the torque is transmitted from the turbine shaft 46 to the compressor shaft 47 through these sprockets, an axial thrust is exerted on the turbine shaft 46, which acts on the turbine rotor 45 during operation counteracts the thrust.
The turbine rotor can thus be held in its axial position by a thrust bearing 50 which is arranged at the rotor disk and which only has to absorb relatively small thrusts. An advantage of this arrangement is the possibility of maintaining an axial play between the rotor and the stator, regardless of the extent of the housing attached between the compressor and the turbine.
It should also be noted that if the magnitude of the thrust acting on the compressor (forwards) is approximately equal to the thrust acting on the turbine (backwards), the compressor thrust is approximately compensated for by the axial thrust in the compressor shaft 47 and the compressor bearing 51 only has to accommodate relatively small thrusts.
The couplings described can also be used to connect the turbine rotor shaft or the compressor rotor shaft to a shaft for the delivery of external power, the load of which generates an axial thrust. If the plant z. B. is used to drive a propeller, the turbine and the compressor rotor shaft can be connected to each other and to a shaft to which the axial thrust caused by the propeller is transmitted by coupling members of the type described.
If, in such a case, the entire unbalanced thrust of the turbine and compressor rotors is opposed to the thrust generated by the propeller, thrust bearings of low load-bearing capacity can be provided in the entire system. When all of the unbalanced thrust from the turbine and compressor rotors is aligned with the thrust generated by the propeller, is. it is still advantageous to connect the various shafts by means of the Erwähn th coupling, because it is then possible to transfer the resulting thrust of all shafts to the supporting structure at any desired point where a suitable thrust bearing can be accommodated.
Fig. 4 shows another construction of a gas turbine plant. A high pressure turbine rotor 120 drives a high pressure axial compressor rotor 121 and a low pressure turbine rotor 122 drives a low pressure axial compressor rotor 123. The working fluid of the machine flows one after the other through the low-pressure compressor, the high-pressure compressor, the combustion device 1.24, the high-pressure turbine, the low-pressure turbine and the exhaust gas duct 125.
The turbine rotor 122 has a shaft 126 which is mounted within a shaft 127 of the turbine rotor 120. The compressor rotor 123 similarly has a shaft 128 which is mounted within a shaft 129 of the compressor rotor 121.
During operation, each compressor rotor is exposed to an axial thrust which tries to separate this compressor rotor from the associated turbine rotor. Each turbine rotor is also exposed to an axial section which seeks to separate this turbine rotor from the associated compressor motor.
The shaft of each compressor rotor is connected to the shaft of the associated turbine rotor by means of helical teeth. The shaft 129 has outer helical teeth which mesh with helical internal teeth 131 attached to one end of the shaft 127. The shaft 128 has helical inner teeth which engage in outer, helical teeth 133 attached to one end of the shaft 126.
The direction of rotation of the helical shape of the teeth is chosen so that the axial thrust that is generated in the shafts by the transmission of the driving torque from the turbine rotors to the compressor rotors is opposite to the axial thrusts that are applied to the shafts by the Rotors are transferred, with the result that the axial position of the low-pressure compressor rotor be determined pressure bearing 140, the pressure bearing 1.41 for the high-pressure compressor rotor 121,
the thrust bearing 142 for the high-pressure turbine rotor 120 and the thrust bearing 143 for the low-pressure turbine rotor 122 have to absorb smaller thrusts than if they had to absorb the entire thrust that occurs on each rotor during operation and transfer it to the supporting structure becomes.
Similar arrangements can also be used for marine gas turbine systems, in which the thrust generated by the propeller is directed forward in the direction of movement of the ship and the thrust occurring on the turbine rotor is directed backwards.
Fig. 5 shows another construction of a gas turbine plant. A turbine 150 drives two centrifugal compressors 151, 152, which are arranged coaxially to the turbine, and the turbine 150 also drives an air screw via a reduction gear 153. The air flows into the first compressor 151, in which it is compressed and promoted by this into the inlet of the second compressor 152. becomes. After the second compressor 152, it flows to the turbine 150 after it has been heated.
It is desirable that the two compressors 151, 152 and the turbine 150 are arranged independently of one another. For this purpose, the turbine shaft 155, which is axially held by a thrust bearing 154, has a sleeve 156 which cooperates with straight teeth 157 and has inner helical teeth 158 at the end remote from the turbine shaft. The sleeve 1.56 is held in engagement with the turbine shaft by a nut 159. A shaft 160 of the high pressure compressor has outer helical teeth 161 at the end facing the turbine, which cooperate with the inner teeth 158 which the sleeve 156 are attached.
The direction of rotation and the pitch angle of the helical shape of the teeth are selected in such a way that the thrust generated by the transmission of the torque through the teeth 158, 161. and is transmitted to the turbine shaft by the nut 159, is at least partially canceled by the thrust of the turbine, and that the thrust which is transmitted to the shaft 160 of the high pressure compressor is the thrust which occurs on the rotor of the compressor 152 , is directed in the opposite direction. The shaft of the high pressure compressor is axially supported by a thrust bearing 162.
The end of the shaft 160 of the high pressure compressor remote from the turbine has outer helical teeth 165 which cooperate with inner helical teeth 166 which are attached to the rearward end of the shaft 167 of the low pressure compressor. The direction of rotation of the helical shape of the teeth is chosen so that a backward thrust is generated in the shaft 167 of the low-pressure compressor as a result of the transmission of the torque through the screw teeth 165, 166, which thrust is opposite to the rotor l57 on the compressor. resulting thrust is directed.
The axial position of the shaft of the low-pressure coinpressor is secured by means of a pressure bearing 163. The forward end of shaft 167 of the low pressure compressor has a! A further set of inner helical teeth 168 which interact with a set of outer teeth 169 mounted on an intermediate drive shaft 170. This intermediate drive shaft is mounted by means of a pressure bearing 171 arranged on an intermediate wall 172.
The intermediate wall 172 carries a rear bearing 173 in which the countershaft 174 of the reduction gear is mounted. In one, ball bearing 176, which is carried by a second partition 177, the other end of the shaft 174 is mounted.
Two pinions 178, 179 of a reduction gear are net angeord on the shaft 174, and the drive is carried by the intermediate shaft 170 to the rear pinion 178, which has helical teeth. The direction of rotation of the helical shape of the teeth is selected such that a forward thrust in the shaft 170 and a backward thrust in the rear pinion 178 is generated. The pinion 179 meshes with an internally toothed gear 181 which is arranged on the shaft 182 of the air screw, which shaft 182 is mounted in a thrust bearing 183 attached to the reduction gear box.
The second pinion 179 and also the ringför shaped gear 181 have helical teeth, the direction of rotation of the teeth is selected such that a forward thrust is generated in the shaft 174, which is the backward thrust in the shaft 174, the first pinion 178 is generated counteracts, so that the thrust bearing 173 only has to take on small thrusts.
The backward thrust which is generated in the annular gear 181 is opposite to the thrust generated in the shaft 182 of the air screw, so that the bearing 183 attached to the air screw shaft only has to absorb small thrusts.
It can be seen that with a suitable choice of the pitch angle of the teeth, the reactions generated by the gear rims in the relevant shafts are such that the thrusts in the relevant shafts are approximately balanced, so that the thrust bearings only have to accommodate small thrusts.
