Ce dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué par une monture conformée de ma nière à présenter deux becs placés en regard l'un de l'autre, l'un étant destiné à recevoir l'anse de la montre et dans lequel sont suscep tibles de coulisser deux crochets placés dans le prolongement l'un de l'autre et soumis à l'action d'un ressort tendant. à les écarter l'un de l'autre, l'autre bec étant destiné à recevoir le dernier maillon du bracelet, les deux becs en regard pouvant être fermés simultanément pour emprisonner leur contenu au moyen d'une plaquette montée rotativement par l'in termédiaire :

Le dispositif d'agrafe extensible repré senté se compose: d'une monture formée d'un corps a ter miné par deux becs b, c, conformés de façon à être placés en regard l'un de l'autre; le corps<I>a</I> porte, en outre, deux oreilles<I>d</I> rabat tues latéralement et parallèlement l'une à l'autre, percées chacune d'un trou e et pré sentant chacune une encoche f; de deux crochets g, présentant chacun une queue i sur le plan de laquelle font saillie des dents ni; cette queue i présente un épaule ment jet un guillon k; d'un ressort à boudin l destiné à agir par compression et engagé sur les guillons k;
d'une plaquette n, munie de deux touril= Ions latéraux o; cette plaquette présente sur l'un de ses bords longitudinaux deux rebords r séparés par une encoche s et, sur son corps, deux ergots p. L'autre bord .de cette plaquette forme une queue q.
Le montage des pièces détachées ci-dessus décrites est le suivant: Les deux crochets h sont introduits en po sition symétrique dans le bec b à l'intérieur duquel ils peuvent coulisser, leur queue i glissant dans les encoches f de la monture. Le ressort l est engagé sur les guillons<I>k.</I> L'effort de ce ressort oblige les crochets h à faire saillie an maximum à droite et à gauche du bec b, mais la valeur de cette saillie est limitée par la butée de l'épaulement<I>j</I> contre les oreilles<I>d</I> de la monture. La plaquette 7z est montée dans la monture par engagement de ses tourillons o dans les trous e des oreilles d.
Cette plaquette peut ainsi basculer sur la monture. En posi tion d'ouverture de l'agrafe, elle prend l'incli naison indiquée en pointillés à la fig. 10, lais sant ouverts les deux becs b et c dans le pre mier desquels on introduit l'anse de la montre après avoir rapproché l'un de l'autre les deux petits crochets coulissants h qui, abandonnés ensuite à eux-mêmes, prennent l'écartement maximum que leur permet la largeur de cette anse. Dans le second bec c de la monture, on introduit le dernier maillon du bracelet. On fait basculer ensuite la plaquette n pour l'amener à la position indiquée en traits pleins à la fig. 10.
Dans cette position de fermeture, les deux becs b et c sont fermés par les re- bords<I>r</I> d'un côté et la queue<I>q</I> de l'autre, en même temps que les ergots p de la. plaquette s'engagent entre les dents ni du corps<I>a</I> de la monture. Les rebords r, dans ce mouvement de fermeture, ayant légèrement dépassé élasti- quement leur ligne de contact avec le bord du bec b, le dispositif d'agrafe est ainsi verrouillé.
Pour ouvrir le dispositif d'agrafe, on intro duit une pointe dans l'encoche s et on opère une légère traction sur la plaquette n, de façon à lui faire repasser la ligne de contact. men tionnée ci-dessus.
