Schnalle.
Buckle. Known buckles, which serve as connec tion organs for belts, straps, ribbons, etc., have a closed bracket with a mandrel attached to this, the bracket is attached to one of the two ends to be connected and the other end is provided with holes into which the mandrel is inserted. Such connecting organs require some time to operate, which is felt to be impractical.
Furthermore, the belt part provided with the holes is weakened by them, so that correspondingly more material must be used for the belt in order to achieve the required strength.
There are also devices for the connec of two bands are known in which one band is clamped between a toothed edge and a pad on the other band or on the buckle piece. This construction, however, has the disadvantage that the band to be clamped is damaged and tears prematurely with repeated use.
The subject of this present inven tion is intended to largely eliminate these disadvantages. It refers to a buckle as a connecting organ of two ends of belts, straps, ribbons or the like and is characterized in that the buckle consists of two rigid parts, of which the one is formed by a plate provided with two parallel slots for receiving one end and a wider one between said slot, and the other part consists of a plate with a hook-shaped flap which is attached to the other 1-1, nde this tab is intended to be hooked into the central slot of the first part.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, specifically showing: FIG. 1, seen from one side of the buckle connecting the two ends of the strap, and FIG. 2, seen from the other side. Figs. 3 and 4 show the two parts forming the buckle.
Fig. 5 is a section along the line in Fig. 1, compared to this on a larger scale.
One part of the buckle consists of a rectangular plate 1 with two parallel slots 2, 3 intended for pulling one end of the strap 4 through. The slots 2, 3 are so long that the tape end 4 can be pulled through them without its edges rubbing against the slot ends. Between these two slots 2, 3 there is still a third slot 5 which runs parallel to the slots 2, 3 . Conveniently, the slot 5 will be chosen to be somewhat shorter than the slots 2 and 3 .
One longitudinal edge 6 of this slot 5 is slightly bent out of the plane of the plate 1 in order to hook the other tendon part described below to facilitate.
The other buckle part also has a rectangular plate 7 , on which a tab 9 is provided on one longitudinal side 8 , which by approximately < B> 1800 is bent against the plate 7 z-Lirüek and thereby forms a hook. While the long side 8 of the plate corresponds approximately to the width of the tape or belt, the flap 9 is so wide that it fits into the slot 5 can be hooked. This tendon part is used to fasten it by means of the plate 7 in one belt end 10 , e.g.
B. sewn to be. In order to keep the plate 7 as light as possible and to g quickly create funds in a practical manner to attach it to the belt end 1.0 , holes 11 are provided in the plate. These holes 11 can also be used to attach the plate 7 to the end of the tape 10 by means of rivets or clamping eyelets.
As can be seen from FIG. 5, the tab 9 provided for all of the plate is so long that, when it is hooked into the seat slot 5, the slot 9 covered in the plate 1 .
To close the buckle, only the tab 9 of the plate 7 is hooked into the slot 5 of the plate 1 . One of the longest edges 6 of the slot 5 from the plane of the plate 1 to the side of the plate 7 makes this hooking easier curved outwards. By pulling the two strap or belt ends 4 and 10 in opposite directions, the end 4 at 12 between the flap end 13 and the edge 14 of the slit 2 becomes one in this way - stuck so that the end of the tape 4 can no longer be pulled through the slots' 2, 3 .
The end of the flap 13 and the edge 14 are rounded in such a way that they neither cut into the tape and it is prevented from being destroyed.
In order to change the length of the tape, for example in the case of a clothes belt, the buckle is opened by unhooking the lap pen 9 from the slot 5 . Then the tape end 4 can be pulled freely through the two slots 2, 3 and thus the correct length of the belt can be set. When the tab 9 is hooked back into the slot, the tab end 13 with the edge 1.4 of the slot 2 clamps the belt part 12 and thus prevents a change in the position of the tape end 4 in the plate 1.
A suitable material for the production of the tendon parts is preferably a light metal or, in the case of low stress, for example in the case of clothing belts, a synthetic resin or another suitable material, such as fiber and the like.
The buckle described can also be used to connect leather strips such. B. be used by horse riders.
