Pendant un dé- placement, du servomoteur la came, par l'in- termédiaire du dash-pot, entraîne le point H et, par conséquent, le point A, donnant un certain statisme au régulateur;
Rotary machine regulator. In their current state of improvement, regulators of rotary machines, for example turbines coupled to alternators, are generally provided with a positive device making it possible to adjust the droop. We even know how to adjust this droop while the.
machine is running, without changing its operating point for all the correct adjustment positions (see Swiss patent N 269305 of December 27, 1947 Machine regulator equipped with a droop adjustment device deposited by Ateliers Neyret- Beylier and Picca.rd-Pictet).
We also know that the. running stability of a turbine in particular requires either an accelerometric device, or a temporary servo-control giving temporarily. a significant droop in the governor, while the latter is in the process of adjusting the motive power, this droop disappearing as the machine approaches a new point. Operating.
In regulators comprising. a droop setting it is. important. that this setting does not affect the value of the temporary sta.tisrne, this one being necessary for. stability (operation of the machine, while permanent droop is necessary to distribute, according to the wishes of the operator, the power to be supplied between several generator sets, for example.
The present invention relates to a provision of the temporary control such as in the case for example of a regulator produced as follows. According to the above-mentioned patent, the droop adjustment does not modify the value of the temporary servo-control, consequently does not in any way affect the running stability of the machine.
In known embodiments of regulators, the. quantity to be regulated (speed, power, ete.) @ acts by means of a suitable tachometer device for example, and through the intermediary of a servo device, on the organs regulating the driving machine.
This servo, which gives the desired permanent droop characteristic, has an adjustment which allows the droop characteristic to be shifted, in order to be able to make the load of the machine go at will.
So that when setting the. slope .of the droop characteristic, the running stability of the. motor machine is not affected, it is appropriate according to the invention to arrange the temporary servo in such a way that it acts independently of the permanent servo. on the link between the device func tion of. gzandeur to. adjust and control devices of the prime mover.
The invention relates to a rotary machine regulator comprising an apparatus responsive to. the; - value to be adjusted (speed, then sance ...), such as a tachometer, this. operating device. by means of a .levier floating Him distribution device of said machine and.
a reaction path of said distribution device on said float lever, both with members making it possible to control the permanent droop,
characterized in that a second reaction path of said distribution device is created on said floating sinker operating in parallel with said path and ensuring the control of the temporary static independently of the control of the permanent droop provided by the said first way.
In order to better understand the invention, an exemplary embodiment is given below.
The inique figure of the accompanying drawing shows a tachometric speed regulator having a following droop adjustment system. the patent N 269305 already mentioned.
The tachometer T operates the distributor R of a turbine using a floating lever L and the distributor spool S of a hydraulic servomotor. The point A of the floating lever is linked to. a lever C.
This lever is attached by its left end in fig. 1 to a permanent droop adjustment device comprising the levers Li, L., a roller G making it possible to change the ratio. between the arms of these levers, a threaded rod F moving said roller G; a distribution control is further represented by a distribution cam CP. and a threaded adjustment rod F '.
The action of the rod F 'results in a translation of the droop characteristic, while that of the rod F makes it possible to vary the inclination thereof.
The end H of the lever C is attached to a known device giving a provisional droop. This device can. be carried out in particular according to the example of the figure: the end H of the lever C is integral with the piston of an oil dash-pot F and, is brought back constantly in the same position by a system: of spring and stop B; the body of the dash-pot is linked to the movements of the servo motor by a CD cam.
During a movement, the servomotor the cam, via the dash-pot, drives the point H and, consequently, the point A, giving a certain droop to the regulator;
due to the action of the spring B, the piston moves relative to the body of the dash-pot, the speed of relaxation being, regulated by the size of the hole drilled in the piston of the dash-pot, and after a some time the point H came back to the point. initial, the servo-control produced by the CD cam has disappeared.
The value of this provisional droop is quite independent of the setting of the permanent droop; this condition is quite evident in the dis position according to the figure.
