I>v</I> bzw.<I>v'</I> hin versetzt angeordnet.
Rohre 2 bzw. 9 her ausgezogen werden.
Device on combustion chambers to enable the exchange of nozzles for liquid fuel during operation. Continuously operating fuel atomizers are subject to changes in their characteristics for a variety of reasons, such as the build-up of soot on the nozzle openings. It is advisable to remove such deposits before their growth and hardening results in a bad burn. Therefore, the atomizers must be cleaned often.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device on combustion chambers to enable nozzles for liquid fuel to be dumped without interrupting the combustion process in the combustion chamber.
Such devices can be used, for example, in combustion chambers of gas turbines or boilers.
According to the invention, the device is characterized in that a guide member is provided transversely through the air duct, in which two nozzles are removably arranged, one of which is in each operating position, and which has an opening through which the injection into the combustion chamber takes place The whole thing in such a way that the nozzles can be pushed against one another in such a position that the nozzle openings of both nozzles open simultaneously into the combustion chambers. The drawings relate to execution examples of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a combustion chamber which is provided with the device according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is a cross section thereof.
Fig. 3 shows a detail in plan on a larger scale.
Fig. 4 is an elevation of this detail. FIGS. 5 to 11 show different phases when changing one fuel nozzle for the other.
Fig.12 is a detail of a variant in section.
Fig. 13 is a plan view thereof.
Fig.14 is a section along the line 7.4-14 in Fig.12.
Fig.15 is a section along the line l5-15 in Fig.12.
Fig. 16 is a view in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 13 on a larger scale. Fig. 17 shows the arrangement of the device in the combustion chamber.
According to Fig.l, a tube c is arranged in an outer cylindrical wall b of the combustion chamber, which surrounds the combustion zone a, in which most of the combustion takes place. The tube c is open at both ends and is connected at the inlet end by a star f to a tubular housing e arranged transversely in the combustion chamber and penetrating the wall b. This housing e is open at both ends and has a circular opening, for example, towards the zone a, behind which a disk provided with a central window p is arranged to rotate.
The window p is longer than it is wide.
The nozzle g used for introducing the fuel into the combustion zone has the shape of a rectangular block, in the surface i of which a nozzle opening lt is seen, while another surface j of the block has the pipe connections 1v, m, n, which over flexible line parts t are connected to valves u. The nozzle g is in the operating position in the housing e and is pressed against the disk o, the nozzle opening h being in the center of the window p.
The pressure on the nozzle and the disc is exerted by a cam r which is net angeord inside the housing and can be operated from the outside by the hand lever q.
After releasing the cam, the Seheibe o, as shown in Fig.12 and 13, by means of the gear 23 connected by the handle 22 gear racks 25 can be rotated.
Two cams 27 and 28 are also connected to the cam r, which can also be actuated by means of the handle q, as can be seen from FIGS. 13 and 14.
If the nozzle g is to be replaced without interrupting the operation of the combustion chamber, a nozzle g 'in the housing e is pushed up to the free side v of the nozzle g.
The cam lever q is then rotated so that the pressure on the disc o is released. This is then rotated by 900, whereby the window p is rotated from the vertical position shown in FIG. 5 into the horizontal position shown in FIG.
For the sake of clarity, the housing e for the nozzles is not shown in FIGS. 5 to 11. When the cam r is released, the nozzles g and g 'are pushed further into the position shown in FIG. 7, in which the nozzle openings h. or h 'are in window p of the disk. The nozzle openings h and h 'are offset towards the surfaces v, v' towards the nozzles in order to be able to keep the window small. The cam 27 can be set to prevent the nozzle g from being raised too far.
The valve u 'is then opened, so that fuel is also injected through the nozzle opening h', while the fuel supply to the nozzle g is throttled. The fuel from the nozzle g 'ignites on the still existing flame in front of the nozzle g, so that the combustion is not interrupted.
The fuel supply to nozzle g is then cut off and that to nozzle g 'is increased. Also so that the injection takes place as little eccentrically as possible in this position, the nozzle openings are arranged offset towards the surface <I> v </I> or <I> v '</I>.
The nozzles are then moved further until the nozzle opening h 'is arranged centrally in the opening p, whereupon the cam r is again activated, and now only on the nozzle g', while the nozzle g is removed from the housing e can be removed.
The cam 28 serves the nozzle g 'as a stop when the nozzle is subsequently replaced in the reverse direction.
At the nozzle g attached fuel lines 2 (Fig.l3 and 15) are rotatably connected to a screw 5 by means of inspection rings 3 and 4, which matures in a nut 6 attached to the housing e. Turning the screw moves the nozzle g. The nozzle g 'with the fuel lines 9 can be moved accordingly through the vision hood 7 and the nut 8 (FIG. 17). The nozzles can be removed by unscrewing the screw 5 or 7 and then the pipes 2 or 9 are pulled out.
In the embodiment according to Fig.l to 4 three, according to Fig.13 to 17 two fuel lines to the \ nozzles are seen before.
