Vorrichtung zur Intensivierung der Funktionen des Kauapparates.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorriehtung zur Intensivierung der Funktionen des Kauapparates, die durch eine nach dem (;biss geformte Aufbissplatte aus nachgiebigem Material gebildet ist. Die Vorrichtung wirkt über den Zahn auf den Kiefer, und ihre wesentliehe Funktion besteht darin, dass sie die Kaumuskulatur zti einer kräftigen Tätigkeit während des Gebrauches anregt. Hierdurch wird der natürliche Vorgang des Kauens intensiviert und eine Massage des Zahnfleisches erreicht.
Die Vorrichtung wird zweckmässig nach einem von einem Zahnarzt oder Dentisten ge Ijommenen Abdruck bei entsprechender Bisshebung und -einstellung gearbeitet. Sie kann nachts und soweit möglich auch tagsüber getragen werden.
Die Vorrichtung kann auch verwendet werden zur Behebung des Speichelmangeis Sie regt den Speichelfluss durch direkte und indirekte Einwirlçung aller im Munde mündenden Speiehelidrüsen an.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung dargestellt. Es zeigen:

Fig. 3 eine besondere Ausführungsform im Schnitt.
Die aus elastischer Masse, insbesondere aus gummiartigen Stoffen bestehende Vorrichtung besteht aus der mittleren Aufbissplatte a, an die sich auf beiden Seiten nach oben die beiden Wälle b und c und nach unten die beiden Wälle d und e anschliessen, so dass die ganze Vorrichtung das Gebiss und das Zahnfleisch eng umschliesst.
Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 3 sind die äussern Wälle c und e oben und unten in der ungefähren Breite der Vorderzähne ausgespart, so dass hier in den äussern Wollen eine Lücke entsteht. Diese Massnahme hat den Zweck, dass die Vorrichtung beim Tragen am Tage nicht ausfällt.
Die Vorrichtung wird nach einem Abdruck geformt.
PATENTANSPRÜCHE:
I. Vorrichtung zur Intensivierung der Funktionen des Kauapparates, gekennzeichnet durch eine nach dem Gebiss geformte Aufbissplatte aus nachgiebigem Material.
II. Verfahren zur Herstellung der Vor richttmg nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie nach einem Abdruck geformt wird.
UNTERANSPRÜCHE:
1. Vorrichtlmg nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus einer mittleren Aufbissplatte (a) besteht, an die sich auf beiden Seiten nach oben und unten Wälle (b, c, d, e) anschliessen, so, dass die Vorrichtung die Zähne mit dem Zahnfleisch umschliesst, und aus elastischem Material besteht.
2. Vorrichtung nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die beiden äussern Wälle in der Breite der Vorderzähne Lücken aufweisen.
