Hook shuttle on a sewing machine. The invention is a shuttle shuttle on a sewing machine.
In known sewing machines, a loop formed by the upper thread is grasped by a hook point and guided around a stationary bobbin case in which the lower thread is accommodated. The housing is so wrapped around each of the upper thread, and the stitch is formed by pulling the upper thread tight.
Since the upper thread has to be guided around the bobbin case of the lower thread, you have to rely on using relatively small bobbin cases and thus also small bobbins, which means that you often have to rewind.
The present invention relates to a shuttle shuttle on a sewing machine with upper and lower thread, which has a bobbin housing for the lower thread and two electromagnets. The invention is intended to enable, instead of the usual small bobbins, those of larger capacity, e.g. B. the normal, commercially available thread to be able to use.
According to the invention, the bobbin case of the looper shuttle is arranged between two alternately excited electromagnets, so that the core of the bobbin case, which is made of magnetizable material and carries the bobbin, is influenced by the electromagnets in such a way that the bobbin case is freely floating back and forth between the magnets moved here and thus the upper thread can be guided around the bobbin case in the form of a loop.
To alternately energize the electric magnets can, for. B. be a rotating breaker attached to the main shaft of the sewing machine.
One pole of each magnet can have a cup-shaped end piece made of non-magnetizable material. The shape of these shells appropriately corresponds to your bobbin case.
The drive axis of the gripper of the ship is expediently hollow and advantageously encloses a stationary tube which carries one magnet. Through this stationary tube, the electrical lines are expediently led to the magnet.
In the following, an exemplary embodiment of the invention will be described with the aid of the accompanying schematic drawing, FIG. 1 schematically showing an elevation of a sewing machine with a section through the lower part of the machine containing the shuttle, FIG. 2 showing a section on a larger scale through the shuttle and FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the shuttle with the bobbin housing removed.
A hollow drive axle 1 is rotatable in bearings 2. This axis is driven by the belt 3 from the main shaft of the sewing machine. With the axis 1 of the gripper body 4 with the gripper tip 5 is a related party.
The axis 1 encloses a fixed tube 6, which carries an electric magnet with the core 7 and the winding 8 at the left end. At a certain distance from the magnet 7, 8, a second electric magnet with the core 9 and the winding 10 is attached to the machine housing in a manner not shown on the left.
The mutually facing poles of the elec tromagnets have cup-shaped end pieces 11 and 12 made of non-magnetizable mate rial and a piece between these end pieces of the coil housing 13 ent speaking shape.
The coil housing 13 is shaped as a double cone which is open at one end and has a magnetizable core 14 which is fixedly cast on the one housing wall.
The core 14 serves as a carrier for a bobbin and is influenced by the electric magnets 7, 8 and 9, 10. These are arranged coaxially with the coil housing 13.
The windings of the electromagnets are connected to a rotating breaker 15 on the main shaft of the machine, so that the windings are alternately supplied with current. As a result, the magnets are alternately magnetized at a frequency corresponding to the speed of rotation of the main shaft, so that the coil housing with the coil moves freely to and fro between the magnets, the extent of this vibration movement being about mm. This frees a passage between the bobbin case and alternately one of the two magnets, so that the gripper can guide the upper thread around and under the bobbin case in the form of a loop.
When the looper 4, 5 of the shuttle removes the upper thread loop from the sewing needle, the interrupter 15 causes the winding 8 of the magnet arranged in the looper body 4 of the shuttle to be supplied with current. The magnetizable core 14 or the bobbin case 13 is then attracted by the magnets 7, 8 and the gripper 5 guides the upper thread loop on the free side of the bobbin case 13 around the latter. Now the interrupter 15 causes the supply of the winding 10 of the other magnet while at the same time switching off the magnet 7, 8, so that the coil housing 13 is attracted by the magnet 9, 10 and thus the other side of the housing is exposed, so that the thread loop also can be pulled through here.
Together with the bobbin thread, which is led out of the bobbin housing 13 through a slot 17 provided with braking means 16, the stitch is created in a known manner.
