Fig. 3 ist eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Rohrdistanzierungsstückes.
Tubes VY heat exchangers. The invention relates to a tube type heat exchanger; H. of the type in which a heat exchange between two fluids of different temperatures takes place through walls of tubes through or around which tubes the fluids flow.
The heat exchanger according to the invention enables a thermal efficiency which can be compared with that of known heat exchangers, and at the same time simplicity of the arrangement and the structural design, in particular what provision for thermal expansion and contraction and easy dismantling meets.
In general, a parallel flow or counter flow heat exchanger will yield much higher thermal efficiency than a cross flow type heat exchanger; but the first-mentioned types are usually not of such a simple design, combined with easy dismantling, as the cross-flow type. Furthermore, in the usual design with straight tubes in connection with side entry and exit for the flow of the second fluid, stagnant zones can be present at the ends at which the tubes are not as effectively flushed by the second fluid as at other points ; this is called the bottom line.
The invention enables a relatively moderately compact construction if the use of tubes of relatively small diameter is intended.
The tubular heat exchanger according to the invention is characterized by bundles of tubes which have at least approximately the same overall length and are bent at two points to form central parts of at least approximately the same length and two leg parts each, the leg parts of the groups Both pipe ends each run in a plane at the same angle to the middle parts, but in opposite directions, and which are of such a length that the ends of the two leg parts of the tubes of all bundles are each in a plane parallel to the middle parts, so that they can be joined together .the individual bundle of adjacent pipes is made possible,
further characterized by a housing enclosing the bundle, which side has an inlet and an outlet collecting piece, which pieces are connected to the free ends of the bent leg parts, and the inlet and outlet collecting pieces for the outside of the Tubes running liquid flow at opposite ends of the Ge housing are to produce a longitudinal flow with respect to the central portion of the tubes and a transverse flow with respect to the bent leg portions of the tubes.
A straight, continuous stream of liquid can flow outside the tubes without creating a star zone.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a heat exchanger showing an arrangement of the tube bundle.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of another arrangement of a tube bundle. Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a pipe spacer.
Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the interengaging blocks of the tube bundle.
In Fig. 1, a housing 1 has a rectangular channel with inlet manifold 2 and outlet manifold 3 at its opposite ends for the flow of one of the fluids.
The other fluid flows through tubes 4 which are arranged in such a way that they generally meet the requirements of a parallel flow or counter flow heat exchanger, depending on the direction of flow in the tubes and in the rectangular housing 1.
The ends of the tubes 4 are directed transversely to me flow direction of the first-mentioned flui dums in the housing 1 against their inlet and outlet manifolds 5 and 6, respectively.
The tubes 4: which have at least approximately the same total length are bent at two points to form central parts, of at least approximately the same length, and two leg parts, with the leg parts of the groups of both pipe ends each in one plane mater at right angles with respect to the central parts and in the opposite direction, and their thermal expansion is thus taken into account in a simple and effective manner.
It is thus possible to have a straight flow through the housing 1 zri and still ensure that the entire surface of the tubes is flushed by the first-mentioned fluid, thereby avoiding stagnant zones, such as those in the absence of special baffles around the ends of the Tubes in the customary arrangement of straight tubes in connection with lateral entry and exit for the other fluid usually result.
In order to avoid the need for internal cleaning of the tubes, it is expediently provided that the hotter fluid flows on the fluid path outside the tubes, it being assumed that the hotter fluid is the one which produces precipitations on the tubes, see above that only external cleaning of the tubes is required.
The bent tubes 4 are arranged in fla chen bundles 7, which are made up of any number of tubes, which we sentlichen are in the same plane. The bundles lying on top of one another can be offset transversely to the direction of the current flowing outside the tubes. his. Fig. 1 shows a bundle 7 of tubes which are all identical in shape and size. These have relative to each other equally long's kelteile, the ends of which are mounted in holding rods 8 and 9, which rods are transverse to the direction of the liquid flow flowing outside the tubes and are held together by angle iron 10.
Fig. 2 shows a bundle 7 in which the tubes 4 are arranged in a different way, i. H. Tubes of identical length, but having their transversely directed leg portions increasing in length from a minimum to a maximum. The ends of the leg parts are mounted in holding rods 8 and 9, which holding rods in this embodiment are parallel to the direction of the liquid flow flowing outside the tubes. Each Bün del 7 of bent tubes 4 is provided with the holding rods 8 and 9, which form inlet and outlet distribution blocks.
A number of bundles 7 are arranged in the heat exchanger according to the needs of the same. As can be easily seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the two leg parts of the tubes 4 of all bundles 7 are of such a length that their free ends lie in a plane parallel to the central parts of the tubes and perpendicular to the leg parts, so that joining the individual bundles of adjacent pipes is made possible. The holding rods 8 and 9 are connected to elements 10 fixed in the housing 1. The elements 10 can be pieces of angle iron that have holes for screws to fasten the support rods 8 and 9.
The holding rods 8 and 9 can be provided with flat and smooth sides for gasdich th connection with adjacent rods, with the inclusion of packs or without such, or the rods 8 or # v. 9 can also interlock, e.g. B. with ribs 11 and grooves 12 as shown in FIG.
The attachment of the tubes in the holding rods 8 and 9 can be done in any of the known ways, for. B. each rod 8 iuuid 9 consist of two parts with matching semicircular cutouts from to grasp the tubes when assembling the two halves. The rods 8 and 9 can be made of sintered metal powders.
Separating elements 13, as shown in FIG. 3, can be provided between the tube bundles 7 or between adjacent tubes 4 in order to secure their spacing and to avoid sagging. Each of the separating elements 13 is formed by a strip of resilient material, which is curved or bent in its longitudinal axis and corrugated transversely to the longitudinal axis, the ge curved part completely fills the space between neighboring bundles 7 or adjacent tubes 4 and the distance of the Corrugations corresponds to the spacing of the tubes 4, so that the middle part of a corrugation accommodates a tube and the ends of an adjacent corrugation an adjacent tube.
The type of heat described above. exchanger is of particular importance in those cases where a compact construction is desired, such. B. in aircraft construction. It is also particularly useful when using very small diameter tubes.
