Gasturbinenkraftanlage.
Gas turbine power plant. The vorliebende invention relates to a gas turbine power plant finit koaxia lem compressor and turbine, which are arranged axially one behind the other and connected by a shaft, wherein a combustion device is arranged in the space between the compressor and turbine, through which working fluid from the compressor is promoted to the turbine. 'o such a system is used as a power plant, z. B. for the propulsion of an aircraft, various properties are th desired.
For example, the power plant should be compact and as light as possible.
The power plant according to the invention is characterized in that the combustion device has an air housing which is ring-shaped in cross section, surrounds the drive shaft and which provides a flow path from the compressor to the turbine, and a plurality of individual flame tubes which are located inside the air housing and are arranged in a ring in this,
wherein the inner wall of this annular air housing with the compressor and the turbine housing is a related party and forms a stiffening member between tween the two housings.
Appropriately, the outer wall of the ring-shaped air housing can also be connected to the compressor housing and the turbine housing and an additional stiffening member between the two housings bil the. Furthermore, the gas turbine power plant according to the invention can have a multi-stage compressor with air outlets arranged symmetrically around its shaft axis and predominantly axially directed, and an axial turbine.
Two embodiments of the subject invention are shown in the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 and 1z1 together form a crack, half in longitudinal section, and show the general arrangement of a gas turbine power plant for propulsion of an aircraft.
Fig. \ 'Is a longitudinal section on a larger scale through a detail and shows the imple mentation of the air housing in Fix. 1 power plant shown as well as the construction. and placing the flame tubes therein.
Fig. 3 shows a further detail on a larger scale and shows the support of a flame tube on a burner.
4 and 4A together show the outline of a further jet propulsion gas turbine power plant.
Fi-. 5 is a longitudinal section on a larger scale through a detail and shows the modified embodiment of the Luftgehäu ses and the construction and arrangement of the flame tubes according to FIG. 4, A ..
In the example shown in Fig.1. the power plant has a multistage axial compressor 1, an annular combustion device 2, a turbine 3 and then an exhaust line 4 leading to a reaction nozzle, furthermore a thrust fan 5 working in a passage 6 leading to the reaction nozzle, which is operated by the turbine 3 is driven. The passage surrounds the exhaust line 4 ko axially. A shaft 7 common to the compressor 1 and the turbine 3 is used to transmit the driving force of the turbine to the compressor.
To this shaft 7 around the whole engine is arranged symmetrically, and this shaft has a coupling 7a with flexible flange members and a train organ, which is against the axial pressures generated by the compressor and the turbine. The front end of the engine is enclosed with a fairing 8, which can be very adapted to the aircraft in question. At the front end of the compressor, a gear box for drive accessories is attached, which are driven by the shaft 7 ben.
The compressor 1 has a rotor which is composed of a plurality of separate disks, each of which carries a ring of compressor rotor blades on the circumference, while the stator blades extend inwardly from an outer housing 9, which with the front and rear walls 10 , 11, in which bearings are provided for the shaft 7, an annular inlet 12 and an outlet 13 defined, of which the latter extends axially through inner and outer walls 14, 15 which, with walls 16 in between, a series of axially Form directed diffuser channels.
On the inner 'wall (see FITS FIG. 2), a hollow member 17 of circular cross-section is attached, which surrounds the shaft 7 and extends coaxially to the same against the turbine 3. The member 17 is fixedly attached to a frustoconical member 18 at its inner end.
In the illustrated. The construction is the turbine, generally designated 3, of the opposite construction, one rotor driving the compressor and the other driving the overshoot fan. The compressor drive rotor has two axially spaced apart disks 20 fixed on the shaft 7, and the second rotor 21 has a bearing bush 20a through which it is rotatably mounted on a tubular member via axially spaced bearings 20b, which is formed by a rear extension 17a of the link 17 already mentioned.
The extension 17a and the member 17 in turn are spaced apart from the shaft 7 and, as indicated, support them by axially spaced bearings 17b. The blades of the rotor 21 are connected to a circumferential ring 22, which extends near the rear,
in order to form both the blades of the compressor drive rotor and a support for the second ring of blades 21a of the rotor 21, which blades extend radially inward. The task of the second rotor 21.
consists in driving glass two-stage blower 5, the blades 5a of which are carried by a drum 23, the front end of which is supported on the circumferential ring 22 of the second rotor> 21 by a frustoconical member 24 and the stator blades 5b of which are attached to the housing walls delimiting the passage 6 whose inner wall is supported on the wall 25 by the frustoconical member 18a.
It can be seen from this construction that the torque of the second rotor 21 is transmitted outwardly to the blower drum 23, so that the blower accelerates the air flow in the passage 6 that enters at the front inlet of the passage 6.
The passages 4, 6 merge at a certain distance from the fan 5; In a part of the passage 6 located behind the fan 5, fuel combustion means are also provided in order to supply the air flow with energy, advantageously so that it is accelerated to the speed of the turbine exhaust flow in the passage 4 before the two flows become common The propulsion beams meet.
The hollow member <B> 17 </B> forms the inner pressure-resistant wall of an axially extending air housing, the outer pressure-resistant wall of which is formed by a tubular member <B> '</B> 7 which is detachable at its front end is connected to a flange of the compressor outlet ring determined by the walls 1-l, 15 and at its rear end to the frustoconical wall 25, the narrower end of which, as already mentioned, is attached to the member 18a.
The member 27 has an inner diameter such that, when its fastenings are loosened, it can be slid forward over the compressor housing 9, it being understood that any accessory (such as the roller lines shown in the drawing) outside the Housing 9 is arranged either so that it does not interfere with the movement of the link 27 or that it is easily removable to enable it to be taken out of the way of these links.
On the inner and outer walls 17, 27 at a distance from each wall 11letallbleehfutter 28, 29 are arranged in order to provide insulation spaces through which air flows on the inner and outer walls of the air housing. These chucks are designed at their ends in such a way that part of the incoming air flow enters the isolation spaces and, after flowing through the isolation spaces in question, enters the turbine.
The outer chuck 28 has, so that it does not hinder the axial extraction of the outer wall 27, loose overlapping connections with chuck parts 28a which are arranged on housing parts which remain fixed when the member 27 is displaced.
Between the walls 17, 27 and in the annular space, which they include, a number of axially extending flame tubes is evenly distributed around the axis. The main part 30 of each flame tube is cylindrical and has at its inlet end a frustoconical end part, the narrower end of which rests against a protruding flange of a cylindrical burner 31 and is supported by the sen.
The burner 31 is coaxial to the flame tube and is arranged on one of the diffuser walls 16 of the Koinpressorausla15ringes. An expedient form of such a construction is shown in FIG. 3, in which the burner body 31 is fastened to one of the diffuser walls 16 of the compressor outlet ring by means of bolts in such a way that its ducts with fuel supply or
-a.bfulirkanäle 31.a, which are provided in the body of the wall 16 and which also correspond to channels in a fuel tank connector 316 housed in a passage 31e which extends axially through said diffuser wall which also has an air passage between the chamber formed by the inside of the aforementioned Koinpressorringraumes and the outer atmosphere.
The Plammrobr is protected against unwanted displacement by means of two threaded sleeves 31e, 31g. Furthermore, a passage 31d is provided for supplying combustion air in the vicinity of the burner mouths. The Plammrohrw and is also perforated and provided with suitable guides and deflectors, as this is deemed necessary for the combustion. The outlet end of the cylindrical body 30 of the flame tube is z.
B. supported by flexible connecting members 30a, which are connected to the chuck 29, so that the outflow was within and in the Ab from the circular inflow end of an outlet channel 32, which runs in the outflow direction to an annular sector from which a sector of the annular nozzle senringes 19 corresponds to the turbine.
On the outside of each outlet channel 32 an intermediate space is left free for the passage of some air to the turbine nozzle, so that this air cools the mouth of the channel and, since it is heated itself during this process, finally look into the hot air Turbine hits a stepping gas.
The channel 32 is defined and supported by a radial strut-like element 33, which passes through this channel and also through the lining 28a, 29 and the inner and outer casing members 18, 25 of the air housing, where the strut on all these parts , e.g. B. is attached by welding.
The main purpose of the struts 33, which are provided at intervals in the air jacket, is to maintain the concentricity of the covering parts 18, 25, but they can also be made hollow and thus connecting passages between the space enclosed by the member 18 and the Outside of the Luftge housing result, which passage allows a cooling air flow through the strut.
Alternative ways of supporting the outlet duct 32 can be used, but in each case the support is designed to allow longitudinal and radial expansion without substantial displacement of the flame tube and without creating special stresses on the same or any related part are.
In order to be able to take away any flame tube body 30, the outer wall 27 of the air housing is released and pushed axially over the compressor housing 9, after which the lining 28, 28a is removed and the sleeve 31e on the burner 31 is released and the flame tube body 30 is moved axially against the turbine to remove it completely from the burner. This movement is possible because of a sufficient gap between the outflow end of the flame tube 30 and the axially adjacent outlet channel 32. The body 30 can then be inclined sufficiently to be pulled out.
As an alternative, the flame tube body 30 can remain attached to the burner, and after removing the lining 28, 28a, the bolts 31f of the burner 31 can be loosened so that the burner can be pulled out of its position by axially displacing the flame tube. In any case, the burner itself is the support of the flame tube at its inlet end.
The members 17, 18 and 27, 25 not only form the pressure-resistant walls of the ring-shaped air housing, from which the larger part of the outer walls can be axially removed in order to expose the easily removable flame tubes, but together also form a rigid support structure that is one of the main demands gene is the receiving element which forms a rigid unit with the flanges of the compressor outlet ring and the turbine nozzle ring.
The fact that the parts 17, 27, 18, 25 are made so that they serve this double purpose, a significant Ge weight saving can be achieved without sacrificing rigidity and strength.
The use of an annular air housing, which forms a space around the compressor turbine shaft 7, also results in a suitable arrangement of a distribution system for cooling air, in addition to the system already explained in connection with the combustion device, which results in gas losses and local distortions and avoid unusual local temperatures. Such a system is in the.
Fig. 1 and 2 shown, in which the ge formed by the inner members 17 of the air housing walls made hollow and connected by a line 35 to a suitable point of the compressor to receive compressed air therefrom, which, as indicated by the arrows in Fig. \? is indicated, is distributed.
The cavity of the structure 17 forms air passages 36 (see FIG. 2) through which air reaches the turbine bearings and also to the chamber delimited by the member 18 and the end face and bearing bush of the turbine rotor 21 and which with the chamber between the rotor 21 and the disks; 30 existing space are connected.
This chamber contains a solid shielding wall 37 of annular shape, which forces the air flow to follow the surface of the turbine rotor parts, the air escaping through the flame tube struts 33 to the inlet of the thrust fan. In addition, the shaft 7 is made hollow and transfers air to the inside and rear end faces of the discs 20, where it gives way to the turbine gas flow.
The air coming directly from the compressor has a slightly higher pressure than the gas flow in the turbine, so that the air tends to flow into the turbo rather than to let the gas escape from the latter.

A similar embodiment of the air housing is shown in FIGS. 1a and 5, in which parts which are the same as those in FIG. and la have the same reference numerals. The power plant shown also differs from the one shown in Figs. 1, 1.a and 2 in that:

At the tern end it is supported by an approximately equal arrangement of frustoconical elements 56, 5, 7 of which the inner one is attached to the housing of the turbine rotor bearing 58,
that as in Fig.1. for better access, cooling air is arranged in front of the impeller. The outer element 57 is fastened to the inner part of the turbine nozzle ring 19 be. The elements 17, 5: 1, 56 thus enclose an inner chamber which lies radially inward of the air housing.

The link 27 extends towards its rear end, where it is attached to the edge part of a generally truncated cone-shaped element 59, the rear end of which is attached to the outer part of the turbine nozzle ring 19.
Each of the mentioned parts of the air housing is made of relatively thin i1-letallblech ver, nin a tubular ring element. of considerable stiffness, so that by combining them a structure is obtained which has a large degree of stiffness l @ .oriil) inated with low weight and which forms an essentially rigid unit when attached to the compressor and the turbine .
Where a sheet metal element is to be connected to an additional element, it is provided with a thickened flange, as indicated in the drawing, in that a strip of thicker metal is welded into the metal sheet.
As in Fig. 1 and 1a dargestell th embodiment, the outer wall 27 of the air housing is axially displaceable, in this case to the rear in order to release the flame tubes, which in turn are evenly distributed. are arranged in the housing limited by the air annulus.
As before, the flame tubes have a mainly cylindrical body 30, the front one. Has frustoconical termination, in which the fuel burner 31 engages and which is supported, for example, as in FIG. 2 by a pin connection abge. At the rear end of the body 30 is supported by an outlet tube 32 which is held in place by flexible struts 30a, the hollow. Struts 33 go through between adjacent tubes 32 in this case.
The compressor outlet is connected to individual sheet metal outlet nozzles 60, which are ring sector-shaped at their inflowing ends in order to enter a section of the ring. shaped outlet of the compressor to fit, and which downstream in this separate nozzle parts 60a, each of which has a more or less cylindrical shape,
lead, and close the inflow end of a flame tube over a significant length and are spaced therefrom to allow the passage of air, where the nozzle parts 60a are supported by flexible strut members 30b which allow each part 60a with respect to the Part 60 to be moved backwards.
The flame tube arrangement just described is again provided for the easy removal of the individual flame tubes, after which access has been obtained by moving the outer wall 27.
The type of removal consists primarily in that the nozzle parts 60a are shifted backwards over the inflow end of the corresponding flame tube, the intermediate rims between each nozzle part and the flame tube being made so that, when this has been carried out,
the connection of the burner 31 with the fuel supply pipe can be released and then the nozzle part 60a and the flame tube body 30 with the burner can be tilted outwards.
A feature of the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 is that the entire inner chamber, determined by the members 17, 54, 56, is kept under pressure in order to equalize the external pressure in the annular air housing. As a result of these means, the inner sheet metal structure 17, 54, 56 can be produced much easier and less rigid than would otherwise be the case.
By arranging suitable outlets in the mentioned inner chamber be sensitive compressed air can be used to provide cooling air circulations, such as those indicated by arrows in the drawing, to the compressor and turbine rotors and the shaft bearings. As indicated in the drawing, the pressure in the chamber can be maintained by tapping compressed air from the air housing by means of a line 61 which is connected to the inner chamber, the air passing through a cooler 62.
