Une soupape 5, actionnée par un électroaimant 6, commande la conduite d'admission 7 du liquide. La soupape est. soulevée quand l'électro-aimant est excité et ouvre la conduite d'entrée du liquide dans le récipient 1, cette condition se réalisant lorsque le liquide a. quitté l'électrode 2 ;
Electrical installation for automatic dosing of liquids.
The object of the present invention is an electrical installation for the automatic dosing of liquids, with the aid of which can be dispensed a predetermined, precise and adjustable quantity of a liquid from a liquid reservoir. The installation is suitable, in particular, for use as an automatic grain moistener.
The installation according to the invention comprises a dosing container containing the liquid to be dosed and in which are mounted several electrodes arranged so as to be able to immerse at different heights in the liquid to be dosed, so as to produce automatically, depending on the height of the level of the liquid in the container and in cooperation with other electrical control members, the opening and closing of electrical circuits which control inlet and flow valves of the liquid, arranged, respectively, on the pipe supplying the liquid to the metering container and onto the flow line of this container, so as to distribute a determined quantity of said liquid,
the latter being brought to said container from a general liquid reservoir.
The single figure in the drawing represents, sequentially and by way of example, an embodiment of the installation according to the invention.
Referring to the drawing, 1 shows a metering container which is connected to a general reservoir. 1, not shown, containing the liquid to be dosed. The arrival of liquid from the general tank into the receptacle is regulated by means of two electrodes 2 and 3 which determine the quantity of liquid corresponding to the desired dosage, these electrodes having the function of establishing or interrupting the connection. electrical connection between each of them and a central electrode 4 through the conductive mass of the liquid, so that when the liquid falls below the electrode,
the flow phase is terminated and the phase of admission of a quantity of liquid required for the dosage into the receptacle begins if the switch 27, interposed in the conductor 10, allows it, while when the liquid rises to to the electrode. 3. the intake phase ceases and the flow phase begins.
A valve 5, actuated by an electromagnet 6, controls the inlet pipe 7 for the liquid. The valve is. raised when the electromagnet is energized and opens the line for entering the liquid into the container 1, this condition occurring when the liquid has. left the electrode 2;
the electromagnet 6 is then supplied with current, from two: terminals 8 and 8 '', connected to an energy source, ie electric, on the one hand, by conductors 9 and 10, the conductor 10 being controlled by switch 27 and, on the other hand, by a conductor 11, nn contact arm 12 of a relay. 13 pressing a contact 12 'in the rest position of the relay 13, a conductor 15 and a conductor 16, while a contact arm 19 does not establish any cormexion.
The relay 13 is interposed by its terminals 21 and 21 'in the secondary circuit of a transformer T between the terminals 14 and 14' thereof. This relay is energized when the level of the liquid in container 1 reaches electrode 3. The relay is then powered by the following circuit: terminal 14, terminal 21, terminal 21 ', conductor 17, electrode 3, electrode 4, conductor 18 , terminal 14 ', this circuit being temporarily closed between the electrodes 3 and 4 when the electrode 3 is immersed in the liquid.
The relay actuates the contact arms 12 and 19 to bring them into the position shown in the drawing. The circuit of the electromagnet 6 opens and the valve 5 closes the inlet pipe 7, while the circuit of a second electromagnet 23 is closed, from terminal 8 ', by the contact 12, conductor 22, coil of electromagnet 23, conductor 24, conductor 9 and terminal 8; the flow valve 25 is lifted and opens the flow port 26.
When the level of the liquid drops in the container 1 and the liquid leaves the electrode 3, the circuit of the relay 13 remains closed by the liquid between the electrodes 2 and 4 thanks to a parallel circuit closing by the contact 19 and which connects the conductor 20 to the conductor 17, the contact 19 remaining closed throughout the duration of the drop in the liquid from the maximum level, represented by the lower end of the electrode 3, to the minimum level, represented by the end lower electrode 2.
It is advantageous to make the position of the electrode 3, which determines the maximum level of the liquid, adjustable in height in order to be able to adjust the quantity of dosing liquid at will. The central electrode 4 can be omitted by providing a connection to the ground of the container if this is electrically conductive, or to an inner liner of the metering container 1, which liner will be formed for this purpose. an electrically conductive material which will be electrically insulated from the other two electrodes, the receptacle being, in this eav, in an insulating material.
The device described is interposed in the circuit of a time switch, it can be controlled by the scale on which the grain to be wet passes in order to adjust the time elapsing between two consecutive dosages. The mercury toggle switch 27 can be controlled by the time switch or by the scale.
As drawn in solid lines, the switch 27 is interposed in the conductor 10 and controls the admission phase; he. could also be interposed in conductor 24, as drawn in dotted lines, and then control the flow phase.
