Lässt man z.
B. die x-Achse des orthogonalen xy-Sy stems mit dem einen konjugierten Ellipsendurchmesser zusammen- fallen, so lassen sich die folgenden Ellipsen- gleiehungen ermitteln: x=a.cos cp + d.sin p (1) y=h.sin cp <I>(2)</I> Darin bedeuten: x und y die Koordinaten eines beliebigen El lipsenpunktes;
h die Höhe des Ellipsenscheitelpunktes über der x-Achse, im folgenden Scheitelhöhe über dem konjugierten Durchmesser 2a genannt; der Abstand des Ellipsenacheitelpunktes von der y-Achse, im folgenden Scheitelaus ladung in bezug auf den konjugierten Durchmesser 2a genannt;
<B> Device for generating ellipses over any pair </B> <B> conjugate diameters. </B> The subject matter of the invention is a device for generating ellipses over any pair of conjugate diameters, with a runner, which a ver adjustable marking element and two adjustable running elements, which the latter are guided on two mutually orthogonal interconnects in order to continuously give the marking element the distances required to generate the ellipse from these interconnects.
Previously known ellipse generators of this type, so-called Acbsenkreuzgli- ter, only allow mechanical means to draw ellipses over their main axes, since there are no adjustment means to generate ellipses over any pair of conjugate, i.e. also at an acute angle to one another, diameter.
The present invention aims to remedy this imperfection of known ellipse generators.
First of all, the inventor found that there are mathematical conditions that are mechanically easy to implement for the generation of ellipses over any pair of conjugated diameters if an orthogonal coordinate system is placed in the center of the ellipse in such a way that the one coordinate axis coincides with one of the conjugate ellipse diameters. If you let z.
If, for example, the x-axis of the orthogonal xy system coincides with the one conjugated ellipse diameter, the following elliptical equations can be determined: x = a.cos cp + d.sin p (1) y = h.sin cp <I> (2) </I> where: x and y mean the coordinates of an arbitrary elliptical point;
h is the height of the vertex of the ellipse above the x-axis, hereinafter referred to as the height of the vertex above the conjugate diameter 2a; the distance of the Ellipsenacheitelpunktes from the y-axis, in the following called Scheitelaus charge in relation to the conjugate diameter 2a;
(p is the angle of the polar vector 0D '(Fig. 1) from the center of the ellipse 0 to the point D' to which the ellipse point C 'is assigned by affinity.
In FIG. 1 of the drawing, an ellipse satisfying the above equations (1) and (2) is partially shown over the conjugate diameters of length 2a or 2b, in which those in equations (1) and (2) occur Sizes are entered.
The correctness of equations (1) and (2) results from the following consideration: In Figure 1, the ellipse point C 'was determined with the help of a construction which uses the existing affinity between the circle and ellipse. A circle was drawn in the center of the ellipse over the diameter of the ellipse 2a.
Then three points, namely the point of intersection D of this circle with the y-axis, the elliptical center 0 and the elliptical vertex C, were connected to form the known affinity triangle, in which DC indicates the affinity direction.
The triangle D'0'C 'was drawn parallel to and similarly to this triangle DOC, the corner points of which were any circle point D', whose base point 0 'on the x-axis and the elliptical point <B> C </ B> are. In the triangle D'0'C 'all occurring routes, such as
B. the sides and the heights, smaller than in the affinity triangle DOC. Due to the similarity of the triangles, the shortening factor is the same for all segments, namely equal to the sine of the angle (p.
One can now see without further ado that the ordinate of the ellipse point <B> C </B> is equal to the vertex height h multiplied by the sine of the angle (p.
The abscissa of <B> C </B> is made up of two sections. The first segment <I> 00 '</I> is equal to the radius of the circle a multiplied by the cosine of the angle (p. In addition, there is the second segment, the length of which is equal to the distance between the ellipse point C' from the side of the triangle <I> D ' 0 '</I>. However, this distance is equal to the vertex extension d multiplied by the sine of the angle 99.
This proves the correctness of equations (1) and (2).
If the apex extension d of apex C becomes zero, i.e. if the elliptical apex is above the conjugate diameter 2a on the y-axis, there is an ellipse above its main axes, which main axes coincide with the coordinate axes.
The ellipse equations (1) and (2) then change into the known classical form: x = a. cos 9p (3) y = b. sin <B> 99 </B> (4) where a and b are equal to half the length of the major axes of the ellipse.
While the classic ellipse equations (3) and (4) form the mathematical basis of the previously known cross-axis slider. the subject matter of the invention is based on the above equations (1) and (2). Figure 2 illustrates the application of the classic equations in the previously known axes cross sliders; Fig. 3 illustrates the application of equations (1) and (2) in the subject matter of the invention.
According to Fig. 2, with the running organs V and IV on the orthogonal axes cross xy sliding straight runner g to the marker aI continuously the distance x = a. cos T from the y-axis and y = b.
sin (p from the x-axis, if the distance 1ZIV = -a and the distance lIIV = b and 9p is the angle enclosed by the rotor g and the negative direction of the x-axis.
These ellipse equations (3) and (4) who realized not only when the ellipse generator pulls the ellipse around the center of the device, but also when means are provided to generate the ellipse outside of this center.
According to FIG. 3, the right-angled runner <I> 1 </I> sliding with the running organs R and S on the orthogonal axes cross xy continuously gives the marking element ill the distance <I> x = </I> a. cos <I> T </I> -f- d. sin 99 from the -y- axis and the distance y = 1z.
sin T, from the x-axis when the distance JTT <I> = </I> a on the leg <I> r </I> of the runner <I> 1, </I> the distance <I> ST = d </I> on the leg s of runner <I> 1, </I> the distance IHR <I> = h </I> on the thigh <I> r </I> of runner <I> 1 , </I> and (p is the respective angle enclosed by the leg <I> r </I> and the negative direction of the x-axis.
According to the invention, adjustment means are provided on the runner, by means of which the location of the first running element can be determined either inside or outside the plane which passes through the marking element 31 and the second running element and is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
The setting means are preferably designed and arranged in such a way that the location of the first running element can be moved along a perpendicular to the above-mentioned plane. 4 to 6 of the drawings, an example embodiment of the subject of the inven tion is shown.
Fig.4 is a plan view of a device for generating ellipses before.
Figure 5 is a front view of Figure 4, with parts in section, and Figure 6 shows a detail of Figure 4 from above.
The device illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5 for generating ellipses be seated in two mutually parallel planes each with a pair of parallel guide rails 1 and 2. These pairs of rails are fastened at right angles to each other as a rigid guide cross in a square frame 3 has 4 feet in its corners, with which the device is on the plane of the drawing that the guide cross is practically parallel to the plane of the drawing. In the pairs of rails 1 and 2, a runner is guided by a sliding shoe 5 and 6 respectively. These sliding shoes form with everything that they contain. Components of the runner.
In the middle of each sliding shoe between the two rails and perpendicular to the plane of the frame, a pin 7 or 8 is rotatably inserted, which protrudes above and below the sliding shoe. The "pin 8 carries on its upper, threaded end a with means wing nut 9 attached operating crank 10 for moving the runner and be sitting at its lower end a thickening 11 (Feg. 5), which transversely to the axis of Zap fers 8 is pierced ..
When pin 7 a head 12 is fastened on its upper end, which pierces transversely to the axis of the pin 7. is, while the lower end carries a rotatably mounted pivot pin 13 which is perpendicular to the plane through the axes of the pin 7 and the bore in the head 12. is. The pivot pin 13 be seated in said plane a hole through which a rod 14 belonging to the runner is inserted longitudinally displaceably, which can be fixed in the pin 13 by means of a clamping screw 15 (Fig. 4).
The rod 14 carries at one end a drawing pen 16, the writing tip of which can be pivoted up and down thanks to the pivot pin 13. A helical spring 17, which acts on the one hand on the pin 7 and on the other hand on the rod 14 and is arranged on the pivot pin 13, presses the drawing pen onto the plane of the drawing. Through the transverse bores of the pins 7 and 8, each leg 18a or 18b of a bracket 18 bent at a right angle at 19 extends, the bracket 18, which can be fixed in the transverse bores of the pins 7 and 8 by means of a clamping screw 20 each .
In order to be able to ring the guide cross 1, 2 of the device in accordance with right-angled coordinate axes, sighting means not illustrated in the drawing are provided.
Is by means of the device described Vorrich over a given pair of conjugated ter diameter to draw the associated ellipse, such. B. in Fig.1 the ellipse AC'C, the device is with the help of the above-mentioned sighting means exactly over the intersection 0 of the conjugate elliptical diameter and pair with one rail, z. B. the pair of rails 1, over one of the conjugate diameter, z. B. the diameter 2a made.
If you now bring the pen 16 with its tip to the end point C of the second conjugate th diameter, namely on the apex point C over the diameter 2a, and the sliding shoe 5 with the axis of its pin 7 in agreement with by moving the runner the axis point E (base point of point C on the diameter 2a), then the on the rod 14 (Fig.
4 to 6) from the axis of the pin 7 to the tip of the pen 16 reaching distance set to the length h (vertex height of the ellipse above the diameter 2a, Fig. 1), which distance see by tightening the clamping screw 15 fix 1ä sst. In this position of pin 7 and pin 16 of the bracket leg 18a is parallel to the Schie nenpaar 2 and is from the guide axis of the latter at a distance which corresponds to the apex projection d.
The distance on the bracket leg 18b from the bracket corner 19 to the pin 8 is now fixed by screwing the bracket leg 18b to the pin 8 by means of the clamping screw 20b. As a result, the location of the sliding shoe 6, which guides the runner along the pair of rails 2, is fixed on the bracket 18. In contrast, the bracket leg 18a in the transverse bore of the pin 7 is still slidable longitudinally. Now the pen 16 is brought to the point A of the ellipse by moving the runner again with its tip.
From the center of the ellipse 0 the tip of the pen 16 is then at the distance a and the axis of the pin 7 is at the distance a + lz. Now the bracket leg 18a is fixed on the pin 7 by screwing the clamping screw 20a, whereby the location of the second slide shoe 5 on the bracket 18 is fixed.
When moving the runner, the tip of the pen 16 will draw the ellipse belonging to the given pair of conjugate diameters. To make the runner easier to move. and in particular to easily reverse the direction of the sliding blocks 5 and 6, the adjustable, screwed-on operating crank 10 is placed with its crank arm in the extension of the connecting line from the pin 7 to the pin 8 and screwed tight with the wing nut 9.
At the outer end of the crank 10 there is a cup-shaped attack point 10a intended to be gripped by one or more fingers. Like every point of the runner, this runs through its own elliptical path when moving it.
In the exemplary embodiment, the bracket leg 18b is longitudinally displaceable in the transverse bore of the sliding shoe 6. As a result, the location of this running element can be moved along a perpendicular to the plane which passes through the drawing tip 16 and the axis of the sliding shoe 5 and is perpendicular to the drawing plane.
If you put the iron leg 18b close to the bracket corner 19 in the sliding shoe 6, the sliding shoe 6 is close to the above-mentioned plane; In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 6, however, the slide shoe 6 cannot be completely moved into this plane, since the bracket corner 19 prevents this.
With a small change to the device, the goal can easily be achieved. It is sufficient to design and drill the pin of the sliding shoe 5 in such a way that in FIG. 4 the bracket leg 18a passes through the pin 7 to the right outside the center thereof. In this arrangement there is a location on the bracket leg 18b slightly in front of the corner 19 where the sliding block 6 falls with its axis exactly into the plane mentioned several times. This embodiment has not been drawn in order not to unnecessarily complicate the illustration.
In the embodiment itself described, there is also the possibility of bringing the sliding shoe 6 with its axis into the plane mentioned. You simply need to pull the right-angled bracket 18 completely out of the two pins 7 and 8 and then just stick one of the two bracket legs through the pins 7 and 8. Both sliding shoes now sit on one and the same leg and the sliding shoe 6 comes to lie within the plane mentioned several times.
The pen 16 then generates an ellipse without apex projection when the runner moves, ie an ellipse with the main axes exactly below the guide rails 1 and 2.
It goes without saying that the right-angled bracket can also be replaced by another formed organ, for example a T-shaped or cross-shaped bracket, a bracket with the legs in two superimposed levels, or a perforated plate or a plate with adjustment grooves.
Instead of the sliding blocks, running organs can be used on the guide rails.
Means can also be provided which allow the center of the ellipse to be generated to be moved out of the intersection of the axis cross of the device.
Instead of the pen, a writing fluid could be used. dispensing device, a cutting tool, a light source or any other device may be provided.
