Heat meters, in particular for central heating systems.
The invention relates to a heat meter, in particular for use in central heating systems.
In the case of multi-family houses with central ileizaniage, the heating costs are usually billed in such a way that the individual tenants are charged for the total expenditure in proportion to the size of the apartment used. With this method there is no incentive to save for the individual tenant parties, and it therefore generally shows high fuel consumption.
A practical solution would be to equip each apartment with a separate heat meter connected to the flow and return lines; However, this route is not feasible, since the normal design of central heating systems does not only provide for one supply and one return line for each apartment, but there are usually several. It would therefore require several heat meters, which, however, would be too expensive because of their relative complexity in terms of acquisition costs.
It has therefore already been proposed to attach a measuring device to each central heating body (radiator) which contains a cylindrical vessel filled with an evaporable liquid. On the basis of the decrease in the liquid level during a heating period, conclusions are drawn about the heat output of the individual radiators.
In the subject matter of the present invention, working with a liquid is avoided in that the deformation of a body is used as the source of the heat release, which consists of a material that is between about 20 and about 1000 C from the temperature, a deformation force and the time during which the force is acting in total in the specified temperature range has creep properties dependent on the. The deformation body can be subjected to compression, tension, bending or torsion, and the deformation force can either only be supplied by its own weight, by an additional weight or by a spring.
The deformation body can be a rod with a round or rectangular cross section. The arrangement can be such that there is a change in the deformation effect of the force in the course of the deformation. The deformation body expediently consists of zinc or a zinc alloy. The latter can e.g. B. consist of 95% zinc, 4% aluminum and 1% copper.
An example of the heat meter is shown in the accompanying drawing.
The heat meter 1 is attached to the central heating element 4 by means of screw bolts 2 and clamps 3. It has the housing 5 with the scale plate 6 attached to it. On the scale plate 6, a hollow body 7 is attached, into which the deformation body 8 is inserted, which in the present case has the shape of a rod that is subject to bending under its own weight. Bct shows the rod after bending. In the course of the deflection, the rod sinks more and more onto the curved support 9, and smaller bending moments and deformations result.
By choosing curve 9, the scale can be classified accordingly and the purpose achieved is that the overall deformation does not exceed a certain amount.
The housing 5 is closed to the outside by the cover 10, which carries a glass 11 at the location of the scale. The lid can be easily opened for the removal of the deformation rod. The bore 12 is used to attach a seal to prevent the deformation bar from being adjusted without authorization.
The mode of operation is now as follows: The ratios are chosen so that at a temperature of up to approx. 200 C there is no deflection. If the temperature rises when the radiator is in operation, the result is a flexure which is greater the higher the temperature and the longer the time during which the former is active. With a suitable design of the heat meter, the total deflection of the rod is therefore a measure of the total amount of heat given off z. B. per m2 radiator surface.
The advantage of the invention is that the use of a liquid is superfluous. The deflection of the rod 8 of the example explained is a largely new measure of the total heat given off.
An influence z. B. the air pressure and humidity, such as such. B. is present on the evaporation rate of a liquid, does not look at the operation of the proposed heat meter. The total deformation of the deformation bar for a given bending moment only depends on the temperature and the time during which it is effective.
