Gasturbinenkraftanlage.
Der Kompressor der ganzen Kraftanlage weist somit vier hintereinanderliegende Kom- pressorteile auf, von welchen jeder eine An- zahl Stufen besitzt, nämlich: einen Nieder druckteil, der einen Rotor 20, 23, 24 mit Rotorschaufeln 21, 34 und einen Stator 12 mit Schaufeln 22 aufweist; einen ersten Zwi schenteil, der einen Rotor 27, 30, 31 und Ro- torschaufeln 28, 37 und einen Stator 118, 29 aufweist;
Gas turbine power plant. The invention relates to a gas turbine power plant of the type in which working fluid is conveyed from a compressor through a heating device to a turbine which drives it.
Such a system is particularly suitable as a power plant for aircraft, with the propulsion either by means of the pure reaction effect of the turbine exhaust jet or with rotatable propulsion means, eg. B. air screw propellers, tunnel screws, or with a combination of rotatable propulsion means and reactive blasting media. However, the invention is also applicable to power plants which are used for other applications, such as. B. for tractors, ships or electrical power plants are intended.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a power plant of the first-mentioned type, which is compact, suitable for instal lation in confined spaces, such as aircraft nacelles or fuselages, and in which especially the axial length of a power plant of axial flow construction can be reduced.
According to the invention, a gas turbine power plant of the type mentioned has at least one group in which the axial compressor and the axial turbine driving it are arranged coaxially inside one another by arranging two-part blades, the number of turbine stages in this group being smaller than the number of compressor stages.
On the accompanying drawings from exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are shown.
Fig.1 shows in half axial section a gas turbine power plant which is designed as a jet engine for a construction in an aircraft.
FIG. 2 is the same representation as FIG. 1 of a power plant, which differs from that shown in FIG. 1 by certain details and the arrangement of a propeller for supplementing the jet propulsion.
Fig. 3 is the same representation as Fig. 1 of a power plant, which is of a similar type to that shown in Fig. 1, but which is additionally equipped with a pair of counter-rotating propellers for the addition of the jet propulsion and an exhaust heat exchanger for preheating the air is provided prior to combustion.
Fig. 4 is the same as Fig.l and shows a similar power plant, but with the addition of an air screw propeller to supplement the jet propulsion, which propeller is driven by an independent auxiliary exhaust turbine.
FIG. 5 is the same representation as FIG. 1 of a composite internal combustion system which is designed for installation in an aircraft as a pure jet engine and has a high and a low pressure turbine and a reheater for the gases, the arrangement of the turbine and the compressor similar to that shown in Figure 1, however. is doubled.
The outer surface of the aircraft nacelle is shown at 10 in FIG. The front part of the nacelle wall is bent inwardly at 10a in order to determine an annular inlet to the compressor through-flow channel with a hump-like lining 50.
The outer boundary of this channel is formed by a stator housing which is made up of rings 11, 12, 18, 19 which are supported on a fixed shaft 15 by front and rear walls 14, 16 and radial connecting webs 13, 17. The inner boundary of the compressor flow channel is formed by the circumferential flanges of the walls 14, 16 and by rotor drums 20, 27.
The drum 20 is fastened to walls 23, 24 BE, which are rotatably mounted on the fixed shaft 15 by means of bearings 25 and 26, respectively. Indeed, the drum 27 is attached to walls 30, 31 which are rotatably supported on the shaft 15 by bearings 32, 33. The clearances at the ends of the drum 20, 27 are completed by sealing means not shown in detail.
The drum 20 carries a number of rings of compressor rotor blades 21 which cooperate with rings of compressor stator blades 22 which protrude from the housing ring 12 a downward.
These blade rings form the low-pressure stages of the compressor. In the same way, a number of arranged on the drum 27 compressor rotor blade rings 28 together with vorste existing from the inside of the housing ring 19 stator blade rings 29 form the high pressure stages of the compressor. Between the high and low pressure stages, each of the drums 20, 27 carries a single ring of two-part blades 34, 35, 36 and
37, 38, 39, which lie next to one another and of which the inner blade parts 34, 37 are designed as compressor blades and the outer blade parts 35, 38 as turbine blades.
The intermediate parts 36, 39 are casing members which, when the blades are attached to the drums, form complete casing rings which separate the annular flow passage of the turbine from that of the compressor. Clearances between tween these wrapping rings 36, 39 and between the same and the adjacent Ge housing rings 12, 19 are completed by not shown in an individual sealant.
The turbine also has guide vanes 41, 42, which are attached to an attached outer turbine housing 40 and supported on compressor housing rings 1. 2, 19. are. The annular turbine passage channel is therefore defined by the housing 40 on the outside and the opposite ends of the housing rings 12, 19 and the intermediate liner rings 36, 39 on the inside.
The by the rotors 20 respectively. 27 supported blades (both compressor and turbine blades) are directed so that) the rotors 20, 27 rotate in opposite directions.
A ring-shaped transfer channel 43, which is bent by 1800 and leads into an annular combustion chamber, connects to the compressor passage channel, in which the radial webs 13, 17 serve as inlet and outlet guide vanes Fuel injectors 45 are provided.
The outlet end of the combustion chamber is connected to the annular transmission channel 46, also curved by 1800, with the annular turbo channel mentioned, which merges into an exhaust channel which is bordered on the outside and inside by walls 47 and 48, respectively, of which the latter has a pointed arcuate shape, with the exhaust duct merging into a jet pipe 49 of cylindrical or other suitable cross-section "which in turn leads to a jet nozzle not shown.
If, instead of an annular combustion chamber, a number of combustion chambers spaced from one another in the circumferential direction are provided, individual transmission lines are to be provided instead of the annular transmission channels 43, 46.
It can be seen that two complete flow reversals take place, with the flow through the compressor from front to back, that through the combustion chamber from back to front and that through the turbine again from front to back. It can also be seen that the combustion chamber, the turbine and the compressor are arranged coaxially one inside the other in the order mentioned.
This arrangement results in an extremely compact unit for installation in an aircraft by reducing the axial length of the housing, the rotor drum and the shafts to a minimum, which promotes rigidity and reduces the number of bearings required.
It should also be noted that the turbine rotor blades are formed by the outer parts of the two-part rotor blades and that the number of turbine stages is smaller than the number of compressor stages in each nested compressor turbine group.
In this design, the entire turbine power is used to drive the compressors, and the entire propulsion effect is generated by the jet reaction of the turbine exhaust gases. Furthermore, since the drums 20 and 27 and the rotor blades carried by them (both of the compressor and the turbine) rotate independently of one another in opposite directions, the torque reactions on the stator housing are self-balancing.
In Fig.2 the general structure of the device is the same as that in Fig.1 .. The low pressure end of the unit is the same as that in Fig.1 and corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals with the following differences.
In FIG. 2, the drum 20 carries an additional ring of a two-part saw blade, which has compressor blades 63, turbine blades 64 and wrapping members 65 which are assembled to form a complete wrapping ring that is the same as the wrapping members 36, 39; Furthermore, instead of being supported on the shaft 15, the walls 23, 24 are keyed onto a hollow shaft 62 which is rotatably arranged on the shaft 15 by bearings 25x, 26x.
The shaft 62 protrudes into a gear box 70 which is supported by a flange-shaped extension of a housing wall 14x and contains a reduction gear, which can be of the usual type known to those skilled in the art and is therefore not shown in detail. Through this gear, the shaft 62 drives with reduced speed Ge a coaxial propeller shaft 71, which carries a pull-propeller propeller 72 and a hub cap 73; the latter forms a continuation of the front fairing 50x, which corresponds to the covering 50 of FIG. The front housing member 14x also carries a bearing 69 supporting the shaft 62.
In this example, the high pressure part of the compressor unit has two wheels 51, 52 rotating in opposite directions, which are rotatably mounted on the shaft 15 by bearings 53, 54 and each of which carries a ring of two-part blades, the compressor blades 55, 58, enveloping members 57 , 60, which are assembled into complete enveloping rings, and turbine blades 56, 59.
A single ring of a two-part stator blade is inserted between the two rings of two-part piles 34, 35, 36 and 63, 64, 65 arranged on the drum 20, which has compressor vanes 66, a casing ring 68 and a door having tine blades 67. This ring of two-part blades is attached to the inner side of the turbine housing 40.
The rear end of the housing is formed by a ribbed wall 16x attached to the shaft 15, radial ribs 17x, a ring 18x separating the compressor and turbine ducts, and a ring of turbine stator blades 61 attached to the turbine housing 40 .
The subdivision between the turbine and compressor ring channels is therefore formed by the housing member 12, the casing rings 65, 68, 36, 57, 60 and the ring member 18x.
The Spielräiune between all these members are completed by sealing means not shown in detail.
It should again be mentioned that for the coaxially nested compressor turbine group containing the low pressure compressor, the number of turbine stages is smaller than the number of compressor stages, and that the rotor blades of all turbine stages are formed by the outer parts of the two-part blades.
In this example, a portion of the power of the high pressure part of the turbine is used to drive a propeller as well as to drive the low pressure compressor. For this reason, an additional ring of two-part rotor blades is provided together with a ring of two-part stator blades.
The low-pressure turbine shafts 56, 59 are only used to deliver power for the high-pressure compressor stages 55, 58, and since the rotor wheels 51, 52 of this part are counter-rotating, an intermediate stator cooling is not required.
Furthermore, the blade angles of this part are designed so that the rotor wheel 51 rotates in the opposite direction to the drum 20, whereby the requirement of the arrangement of stator blades between the last ring of the two-part blades 34, 35, 36 on the drum 20 and the first wheel 51 with the ring of two-part blades 55, 56, 57 is avoided.
The power plant shown in Fig. 3 forms a further embodiment of the gezo th in Fig.1. In this case, the rotors 20, 23, 24 and 27, 30, 31 are wedged with coaxial shafts 62, 74, of which the latter through the rear wall 16 is supported in a bearing 75 and by bearings 25 and 83 housed in the outer shaft 62. The shaft 62 is supported by a bearing 69x in the front housing member 14x and by a bearing (not shown) in the gear case 70, which corresponds to that shown in FIG.
The coaxial shafts 74, 62 drive via a known reduction gear, a pair of coaxial counter-rotating propeller shafts 71a, 71b, which carry counter-rotating propellers 72a, 72b and hub cap elements 73c, 73b.
In order to obtain the power required to drive both the counter-rotating propeller and the compressor parts, each rotor drum 20, 27 carries an additional ring of two-part blades 63, 64, 65 and 76, 77, 78, which are the same as those in With reference to Figure 1, rings of two-part blades 34, 35, 36 and 37, 38, 39 are.
In addition, the turbine housing 40 carries two rings of two-part stator blades 66, 67, 68 and 79, 80, 81, which lie between the two rings of two-part rotor blades carried by each of the rotor drums 20 and 27, respectively.
Where the transfer duct 43, which leads from the compressor to the combustion chamber 44, crosses the turbine exhaust duct limited by the walls 47, 48, a heat exchanger 82 is provided through which part of the heat of the exhaust gases is transferred to the air which is in front of the Er Reaching the combustion chamber in the transmission channel 43 flows.
The use of a heat exchanger of this type can improve the thermal efficiency without increasing the peak temperatures on the turbine blades even with partial load.
In other respects, the embodiment of FIG. 3 is identical to that of FIGS. 1 and 2, corresponding parts being denoted by the same transfer numbers.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the rotor drums 20, 27 are of the same design and arranged in the same way as the drums shown in Fig.l, but the main shaft 84, on which they rotate, is itself rotatable by being in bearings 75, 121, which are supported by an extension 16x of the rear wall 16 provided with flanges and ribs.
The shaft 84 is driven by an auxiliary exhaust turbine which has a rotor wheel 108 attached to the shaft 84 and having a single rim of turbine rotor blades 109 which operate in a turbine stator housing 110 which also carries a rim of stator blades 111, the inner ends of which are attached to a flanged wall 112 which is attached to the extension 16x of the wall 16.
The other end of the shaft 84 is supported by the front housing member 14x in a bearing 122 and drives a coaxial propeller shaft 71, which carries a pulling propeller 72 and a hub cap 7 3, all as shown and in relation to a reduction gear contained in a gear box 70 on FIG. 2.
The housing parts 12x, 19x, however, are not stationary in this example, but rotate in opposite directions to their associated rotors. For this purpose, the housing parts 12x and 19x are connected by radial Rip pen 124, 127, which also serve as a compressor blades, with walls 123, 126 a related party, which are supported on the shaft 84 by bearings 125, 128. The housing parts 12x and 19x wear wreaths of turbine blades 95, 97 at their ends facing each other, the outer ends of which are attached to outer rotating turbine support rings 98 and 99, respectively.
Between the adjacent ends of the rotor drums 20, 27 are a pair of wheels 104, 105, each of which carries a ring of two-part blades 100, 101, 116 and 102, 103, 117, respectively, which are generally the same but opposite to the two-part rotor blade rings 34, 35, 36 and 37, 38, 39 are carried by the drum 20, 27 who the. The outer ends of these two-part blade rings are attached to the support rings 98 and 99, respectively. As before, the clearances between adjacent envelope members 39, 117, 116, 36 and the housing parts 12x, 19x are closed by sealing means (not shown in detail).
An assembled turbine housing 85, 86, 87 encloses the entire device, the housing members 85 and 87 respectively being fastened to the stationary compressor housing rings 11, 18 which form the end members of the compressor housing.
The turbine housing also supports an entry and exit guide vanes 88 and 89 for the main turbine; the exhaust gases of this turbine are to the auxiliary exhaust turbine 108, 109 ge leads through a channel 90, which is branched between its ends in individual pieces so that the transmission channels 43 can be passed between two branch pieces.
The exhaust of the auxiliary turbine 108, 109 GE reached as in the previous examples in an annular exhaust duct, which is determined by members 47, 48, which leads to the jet nozzle (not shown).
In the example described above with reference to Figure 4, the two drums 20 and 27 rotate in opposite directions both to each other and to their associated Ge housing members 12x and 19x; Therefore, when the drum 20 rotates clockwise, the drum 27 and the housing part 12x rotates counterclockwise and the housing part 19x clockwise. For a given relative circumferential speed between the counter-rotating rotors, the absolute circumferential speeds are halved according to this counter-rotating arrangement. Parts not mentioned in the preceding description correspond to the same parts in FIGS. 1 and 2 and have the same transfer numbers.
Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of the invention, which is the same as that shown in Fig. 1 ge for installation in an aircraft is intended as a pure jet engine; no propellers or similar thrust generating means are provided.
The general structure is the same as that shown in FIG. 1, and corresponding parts are labeled with the same transfer numbers. In the following description, the parts whose training and effects have already been described with reference to FIG. 1, are not mentioned further, except when it is neces sary for the description of the special features of the embodiment of FIG.
The unit shown in FIG. 1 has two rotor drums 20 and 27, respectively, which carry wreaths of conventional compressor blades 21, 28, and each drum carries a wreath of two-part blades 34, 35, 36 or 37, 38, 39; the outer parts 35, 38 of the two-part blades are turbine blades. The rotor drums 20 and 27 rotate in opposite directions and are enclosed in a multi-part stator housing which has parts 11, 12 and 18, 19 which carry stator blades 22, 29.
The turbine ring channel is enclosed by a stator housing 40.
The power plant shown in FIG. 5 has two such turbo-compressor units of the type described in the preceding summary of FIG. 1, the ends of which are arranged opposite one another so that their compressor parts form a continuous multi-housing compressor, and the turbine parts form two turbine units, from which each has two rings of rotor blades rotating in opposite directions.
The various parts of the right-hand unit (as shown in the drawing) are denoted by the same reference numerals as corresponding parts in Fig. 1, whereas the corresponding parts of the left-hand unit are denoted by the same reference numbers but with the addition of the letter a are.
One change is that a common stator housing member 118 surrounds the left-hand part of the compressor of the right-hand unit and the right-hand part of the compressor of the left-hand unit and supports the stator blades 29, 22a of such a compressor part.
The compressor of the entire power plant thus has four compressor parts lying one behind the other, each of which has a number of stages, namely: a low-pressure part that has a rotor 20, 23, 24 with rotor blades 21, 34 and a stator 12 with blades 22 having; a first intermediate part which has a rotor 27, 30, 31 and rotor blades 28, 37 and a stator 118, 29;
a second intermediate part with a rotor 20a, 23a, 24a and blades 21a, 34a and a stator 118, 22a, and a high pressure part which has a rotor 27a, 30a, 31a, rotor blades 28a, 37a, a stator 19a and guide blades 29a.
The rotors of these four compressor parts rotate alternately in opposite directions, that is to say the rotors 20, 20a rotate in the same direction, and. the rotors 27, 27a rotate in the opposite direction.
As in Fig. 1, the air conveyed by the compressor is passed through a transmission duct or ducts 43 with 1800 flow reversal into a combustion chamber or chambers 44 which have fuel injection nozzles 45; the. Combustion products are passed through a further transfer channel or channels 46, which in turn reverse the flow by 1800, to a high-pressure turbine part, which has two rings of blades 35, 38 rotating in opposite directions, which the outer parts of the two rings of two-part, through the rotors 20 or 27 formed blades.
This turbine forms the high-pressure part of a composite turbine, the low-pressure part of which is formed by the two rings of counter-rotating turbine blades 35a, 38a, which form the outer parts of two rings in two parts, blades carried by the rotors 20a and 27a.
The exhaust gases from the high-pressure turbine 35, 38 are conveyed to the low-pressure turbine 35a, 38a through an annular duct or a number of ducts 119 spaced from one another in the circumferential direction, which form intermediate combustion chambers which are provided with fuel injection nozzles 120, whereby intermediate heating between the high- and the low pressure turbine takes place.
The exhaust gases from the low-pressure turbine are conveyed through an annular channel 49 or individual channels which are determined by the channel walls 47, 48 to a jet nozzle (not shown), as has already been described with reference to FIG.
As in Fig. 1, the various Ro gates are rotatably supported by a number of bearings on a fixed shaft 15 which is fastened to the end walls 14, 16 of the stator housing BE.
The previous arrangement, with its large number of compressor stages, made it possible to achieve a very high compression ratio without an extraordinary increase in pressure, with the disadvantages that then occur, being necessary in any individual stage. The separation of the rotor into a number of parts with independent drives on avoids the structural and mechanical problems associated with a very long simple rotor which has a very large number of stages. The activation of intermediate heating between the turbine parts makes it possible to increase the overall output of the power plant without inadmissible peak temperatures occurring.
