Process for the production of a reinforced plastic molding and moldings produced by the process.
The invention relates to a method for producing reinforced plastic molded bodies and to a molded body produced by this method.
The plastic materials used can be homogeneous substances, such as synthetic resins of the acrylic type (eg polymethyl methacrylate) or polystyrene or polyethylene or vinyl derivatives such as polyvinyl acetate. Such homogeneous products are hereinafter referred to as non-layered synthetic resin materials.
In addition, you can products that contain layers of fabric, paper layers or similar base materials with thermosetting resins such. B. phenol-formaldehyde, cresol-formaldehyde or urea formaldehyde condensation products or are impregnated with thermoplastic materials such as polystyrene or vinyl resins or cellulose derivatives such as cellulose acetate.
Such layer materials are hereinafter referred to as layered plastics.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that reinforcing elements are placed between layers which are at least partially made of plastic and may or may not be layered, the package thus formed is placed in a supple sack and the latter is exposed to heat and the pressure of a fluid exposing, so that the layers deform around the reinforcement and bulges corresponding to the shapes of the reinforcement arise in at least one of the layers, whereupon the plastic material is solidified and hardened.
The reinforcement can have any shape and arrangement in the finished product and, for example, be a block. You can also have any cross-section and consist of wood, metal or other material and also be elongated. When using metal, an aluminum alloy containing Cu, Mg and Mn is suitable; but such metal reinforcements should first be coated with a synthetic resin adhesive so that they adhere firmly to the outer leaves.
In order to make the invention better understood, two examples are described below with reference to the drawing.
FIGS. 1 and 2 show in section two reinforced products produced by the method according to the invention.
1 shows a plate with a threaded hole which is used to be able to fasten the plate. This threaded hole is provided in the reinforcement 24, which is enclosed between the two plastic layers 11 and 14.
The reinforcement can also be viewed as a screw nut with an enlarged flange into which a screw bolt can be screwed, with which the plate is fastened. The continuation of the Ge thread hole in the reinforcement 24 can be cut out of the parts 11 and 14 either before or after the deformation.
As shown in Fig. 2, the Armie tion 24 can be provided with a protruding handle 26 instead of a threaded hole, which protrudes from this after completion of the plate.
There are also other, not shown presented alternatives possible, such. B. Seats for filler necks or ventilation pipes,
Drain nozzles on petrol tanks, closing and
Holding organs, handles, reinforcement ponds in box manufacture, etc. Such ele ments can be made of metal, wood or any preferred material.
The sheets 11 and 14 can have any structure. According to one embodiment, each consists of several
Layers of phenol-formaldehyde in the fabric impregnated into a single
Laminated bodies are united.
Instead of using sheets that both have the same or approximately the same surface area, you can only use one
Use the base sheet and on the other
Apply only one stain on the side of the fitting, although the stain is a smaller one
Has surface than the base sheet, the reinforcement is held between the two surface elements.
One or both of the laminated sheets can be replaced by a non-layered, plastic material, which is expediently thermoplastic, or by a sheet of plywood or another specifically light product that is embedded between two layers of Kirnstharz.
In all of these cases it is advisable to see the reinforcement before placing it between the
Layers are to be covered with a suitable synthetic resin adhesive, the type of which is compatible with the synthetic resin of the Sehichtblätt.er.
If the reinforcement has such a shape that the synthetic resin cannot easily adapt to its contour without wrinkles occurring, which is the case in particular with stains, the material can be cut to size before it is solidified. to avoid folds or gaps in the finished product.
If all parts of the structure consist of plastic of the same type or consist of similar plastics, the entire structure is hardened at the same time. In the case of stains, however, these can also be applied to a pre-hardened material and vulcanized onto it.
When the reinforcements are placed between solid, non-layered sheets, the mold and the molding material are cooled under pressure after deformation.
An example of such a solid sheet is, for example, one made of polymerized methyl methacrylate or polyethylene or thermoplastic synthetic resin.
The deformation and solidification takes place by subjecting the package to the action of heat and the pressure of a fluid through the flexible bag. The articles to be deformed, for example, are made on or in a positive or negative mold without using precisely shaped cooperating positive and negative mold parts by replacing the missing positive or negative mold half with a flexible membrane through which pressure is applied through it. The pressure is applied from the outside, for example by building the article on a positive form, bringing the whole structure into an autsehuksaek and exposing the outside of the sack to the effects of pressure and heat, which can be done in an autoclave, for example.
The pressure can also be brought about by evacuating the space between the workpiece and the membrane. In this case, the maximum available pressure is generally about 0.98 kg / cm2 (air pressure). A combination of these two modes of operation is generally used. To deform the article shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the layers will be laid on top of one another in a flat shape, the layer 11 being in contact with the mold surface. The package is then enclosed with the mold in a Kautsehuksaek, which is evacuated. The sack is then placed in an autoclave in which its outside is exposed to sufficient heat and pressure to unite and solidify the layers.
