Appareil indicateur.
L'appareil indicateur selon l'invention comprend un organe de commande, un bras indicateur monté sur un pivot et des moyens assurant la suspension dudit bras et sa liaison avec ledit organe < le commande, de manière que l'extrémité indicatrice du bras parcoure une trajectoire pratiquement rectiligne lors que ce dernier est déplacé angulairement sous l'action dudit organe de commande;
Indicating device. This invention relates to an indicating device such as a measuring device, for example, comprising a pivoted movable arm constituting a needle or style capable of moving in front of a dial or on a recording surface.
Devices of this type are generally equipped with a needle, the indicating end of which describes a trajectory in an arc of a circle, or if said end is curved, a trajectory which is. inscribed on a face of revolution. In the latter case, more particularly, the precise reading of the position of the needle is made difficult when the needle is not located exactly in the same plane as the graduation. When the movable arm carries the style, the fact that the trajectory of the style is not rectilinear complicates the reading of the diagrams obtained.
The indicating device according to the invention comprises a control member, an indicator arm mounted on a pivot and means ensuring the suspension of said arm and its connection with said control member, so that the indicating end of the arm travels a distance. substantially rectilinear path when the latter is displaced angularly under the action of said control member;
it is characterized in that said means comprise at least one pivoted rod, on the one hand, on said arm, between the indicating end and the pivot of the latter, and, on the other hand, on a point. stationary of the apparatus, and a support and guide device for the pivot of said arm, arranged so as to allow said pivot to move along a rectilinear path practically perpendicular to that traversed by the indicator end of the arm during the angular movement of the latter, said means further comprising an adjustment device making it possible to adjust the relative position of the indicator arm and of the control member.
The drawing represents, by way of examples, three embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the invention.
lees fig. ? and. 3 are longitudinal and transverse sections of an apparatus according to the invention, produced in the form of a manometer.
Figs. 4 and 5 are perspective views, exterior and in longitudinal section, of an alternative embodiment of said pressure gauge.
Fig. 6 is a cross section of this variant.
The fib. 1. schematically represents an embodiment of the indicating mechanism of an apparatus according to the invention. The mechanism comprises two rods of the same length @ 1 - B and CD pivoted at one of their ends, at A and D, on fixed points and articulated at their other ends on a connecting element BC which carries in its middle an indicator element EF arranged perpendicularly to said element BC and which is integral with the latter.
During the movement of the assembly thus formed, the rods pivot around points A and D, point E of element BC moves along a path HH and end F of element <I> E < / I> -F moves along a trajectory GG which will be rectilinear if the length of the various elements is chosen appropriately.
If we force point E to move along the line <I> HH, </I> we can delete one of the halves of the device, for example the right half comprising the half-element EC and the connecting rod C <B> -D. </B> The part used of the curve HH coinciding with an arc of a circle having its center at 11Z, the point E to the line HH can be ensured by means of a link 11'1-E pivoted at <B> 11. </B> The mechanism thus formed is, shown in dotted lines in another position,
element <I> B </I> E-F located at <I> B '</I> E' F 'and link 111-E at Il'I-E'.
The control member of the apparatus can actuate the indicator member EF either by means of one of the links A -B, CD, or by means of the link, 11-E when the link CD, for example, is deleted.
The control member can be of any kind, it can be constituted, for example, by a Bourdon tube or an aneroid cap in a manometer, by an expansion element or a bimetal in a thermometer, or by any other device in measuring or recording, electrical or mechanical devices.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the movable arm 1 which constitutes the indicator member is provided, at its lower end, with a pin 2 which is able to slide in the slot 3 of a support member during the angular movement of said arm, the The indicator end 4 of the arm 1 moves in a practically rectilinear fashion in front of a dial 5. The guide slot 3 is perpendicular to the path traveled in front of the dial by the end 4 of the arm 1.
The arm 1 is pivoted at 8 at the free end of a servo link 6 which is driven on an axis 7 rotatably mounted in the support member of the dial. In the embodiment shown, a. control member constituted by a Bourdon tube 12 causes the displacement of the arm 1 by means of said servo link 6. The connection between a lever 10 mounted on the axis of the Bourdon tube and the link 6 is provided by means of an adjustment element 9 and an arm 11 integral with the axis 7 of the rod 6.
The adjustment element 9 allows the position of the indicator arm 1 to be adjusted, for example to the zero of the scale of the dial 5 when the pressure gauge is without pressure, the transmission ratio of the movement being able to be adjusted by moving the point of pivoting of the adjustment element 9 on the arm 11. The entire mechanism of the manometer shown is mounted on a connection element 13 serving as an outlet for the manometer.
In the variant embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the manometer mechanism is supported in a housing 16 by the intermediary of the dial 5. The connection between the plug connector 13 and the Bourdon tube 12 is. carried out by means of a tube of small section 14 wound in a helix which has the purpose of polishing to damp high-frequency vibrations of pressure and to prevent their transmission up to my meter. In this variant, the stroke of the lever 11 is limited by adjustable stops 15.
The dial 5 consists of a plate 18 q111 is supported by its folded ends on the case 16; the plate 18 is perforated at 19 so, on the one hand, to facilitate its shaping and its adaptation to the housing 16, on the other hand, so as to constitute an elastic suspension of the manometer mechanism, a mechanism which is. supported by said plate.
It should be noted that it is not essential that the control member actuates the indicator arm by means of the servo link; it could, for example, actuate it by means of a suitable mechanism acting on the pivot axis 21 which slides in the guide slot 3; the rod 6 then only serves to control the arm 1.
