Runner for spinning and twisting machines. The present invention relates. on a runner like the one used in spinning and twisting machines in the textile industry.
So far the runners are either made of steel. or bronze, whereby bronze runners were mostly used for wet twisting, in that the presence of water precluded the use of steel runners. These runners run around a ring at high speed. When twisting, the tension on the traveler is so strong that it is necessary to provide lubrication between the traveler and the ring, which can be achieved with oil or grease. Self. With good lubrication, both the rotor and the ring wear out, and the fine metal particles produced by this mix with the grease of the lubrication, whereupon they gradually oxidize and cause visible stains on the thread or thread. These stains consist of oxides, carbonates, soaps, etc.
Ring metals and are very difficult to remove in normal bleaching processes.
Numerous attempts have been made to make runners from materials other than steel and bronze, including hard rubber and glass. However, these materials were unsatisfactory due to their fragility and poor wear resistance.
The present invention provides a rotor which has properties that have long been sought, including the fact that it 1. has a longer service life than steel or bronze rotors .; 2. Requires less lubrication than steel or bronze rotors, or no lubrication at all; 3. causes little or no wear on the steel ring, thereby preventing the aforementioned contamination of the yarn or thread; 4. Is corrosion-resistant, so that corrosion is avoided when twisting wet.
The rotor according to the invention for spinning or twisting machines is characterized in that at least its surface exposed to wear is formed by a plastic that is elastic, tough and resistant to wear and corrosion and, in the worst case, only negligible wear on the ring even without lubrication , on which) the runner revolves.
A preferred group of plastics of this type form the linear superpoly mers, as z. B. from hexamethylenediamine and Adipinsänre are available.
Other plastics suitable for the named Zweek are: Plasticized cellulose esters, such as. B. cellulose nitrate or acetate, and plasticized ge mixed cellulose esters, such as. B. cellulose acetate butyrate; the polyvinyl esters, such as.
B. polyvinyl chloride and polyvinyl acetate, and the mixed polymers of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate; the polyacrylic compounds, such as polymethyl acrylic acid esters, e.g. B. PolSnnethylmethacrylat; Polyvinylidene chloride; Polystyrene and the water-insoluble cellulose ethers such as water-insoluble alkyl cellulose, e.g.
B. water-insoluble ethyl cellulose.
The structural shape of the runner, see abge from their composition, does not form the subject of the invention, since the various forms of ver runners are known and have been used in the textile industry for a long time.
For example, one embodiment of the rotor according to the invention can consist entirely or predominantly of plastic. It can be cast or manufactured using a molding or extrusion process.
The technique of pressing, casting or extrusion of the above-mentioned plastics and polymerization materials is known per se and therefore does not need to be explained. The runners can also be machined from flat material. .
The runner can, instead of being made exclusively of plastic, have a metal core which is provided with a plastic or predominantly plastic casing that has the surface area exposed to wear, such as a wire, e.g. B. can be wrapped in polymerization material or embedded therein.
