Yarn winding device, especially for household use. Housewives and knitters usually have to bundle the skeined yarn at home in person. For this purpose, the ropes are placed over the backrests of chairs, or if a second person is present, the ropes are placed on their arms. Winding it up into balls is relatively time-consuming, and the yarn is often not loosely wound in the desired manner.
The present invention now relates to a yarn winding apparatus which is particularly suitable for domestic use. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that a drive is provided on the winding unit, which has a spindle for receiving the ball to be formed and a yarn guide moveable along the spindle axis, the drive, the spindle and the yarn guide in with one another Movement connection.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown. 1 shows a side view of the same, partially in section, and FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section from above along line I-I in FIG.
The Garnaufwindeapparat shown has a flat, designed as a housing base 1, which has a downward directed arm 2 and can be attached to the table by a clamping screw 3 mounted in the holding arm. In a hub 4 'of the upward bearing arm 4 of the foot 1, a drive shaft 5 is rotatably mounted, which at one end the crank 6 and at the other end a bevel gear 7, the rear of a spindle 9 attached to a mandrel 8 of the crank shaft. The connection between the mandrel and the spindle is such that in operation 9 cannot stand out from 8.
The bevel gear 7 engages a bevel gear 10, the shaft 11 of which is rotatably superimposed ge in two bearings 12, 13 of the foot 1. A pulley 14 is seated on the shaft 11 between the bearings 12, 13 and is brought into rotary connection with the axle by a transverse pin 15 of the shaft 11 by the transverse pin lying in a slot 16 of the pulley 14. A second pulley 18 is rotatably mounted on a stepped axle journal 17 of the foot 1 and is secured by a screw 19. 20 is a steel side placed over the two pulleys.
On one end of a bearing 21 of the foot a horizontally swingable lever 22 is articulated, which at its other free end carries a thread guide 23 formed from a spring wire, which protrudes through a cutout 24 of the housing-shaped foot 1 and at its free end a guide eye 25 has. The lever 22 is provided with a longitudinal slot 26 in which a roller 27 runs, which pin 28 is rotatably mounted on an eccentrically arranged on the disc 17 axle. 29 is a cover that closes off the housing-shaped foot 1 at the top. 30 is a cover piece which covers the gearwheel 10 at the top and is penetrated by the hub 4 '.
The cover plate 30 has a handle 31 at the top for carrying or holding the apparatus. By Dre hen the crank 6 by hand, the spindle 9 is driven directly and displaced via the bevel drive 7, 10, the gear 14, 18, 20 and the roller 27 of the thread guide lever 23 in a reciprocating motion to the spindle longitudinal axis. Parts 5, 6 ,. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 20, 18, 27, 28, 22, -23 and 25 belong to the winding unit.
The yarn to be wound up is in a strand. This strand is now first brought to a known reel or the like. Then the end of the strand is wound onto the spindle 9 and the crank 6 is then turned. The yarn to be wound is moved back and forth during winding by the yarn guide 23, thereby achieving a uniform and loose winding on the ball.
The movements from the axis 11 to the disc 18 could also be made by a mutually intermeshing gear drive. This would, however, be more expensive, but would have the advantage of being less subject to disruption in the long run.
Instead of the drive with the hand crank, the same could also be provided by means of a foot rocker or an electric motor, the latter being particularly suitable for yarn sales.
The described Garnaiüwindeapparat enables the housewife to quickly and effortlessly wind up strands in balls. In factories in the textile industry, however, mechanical yarn winders are known for home or home use. However, these were unsuitable for private use.
