Schlagstock.
Baton. The batons made of wood or metal previously used by craftsmen for chopping, hammering, etc. are solid and stand firmly on the surface. When logging and hammering on such batons, a lot of noise is created, which is mostly perceived as annoying, especially when working in rooms. This is mainly due to the fact that the impact vibrations are transmitted to the base.
The subject of the present invention is a baton with which this noise transmission is to be largely avoided. According to the invention. for this purpose an impact body which is movable in the height direction within certain limits is resiliently arranged in a holding member.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment, and it shows FIG. 1 a side view of the baton, FIG. 2 a plan view and FIG. 3 a vertical section along the line 1-1 of FIG Pig. 2.
\ 1 is the z. B. from a wooden cylinder of the existing shock absorber, which is stored in a support frame 2. The holding frame consists of three spaced-apart stand rods 3 formed by iron rods, the latter being provided on the underside with outwardly directed feet 4 formed by bending conditions: Above and below, the stand rods are provided with rivets 5 with the retaining rings formed from band iron 6 rigidly connected.
The three upright rods 3 and the two holder rings 6 together form the holding frame. In the rest state, the impact collector 1 protrudes over the upper holder ring by a little more than a third of its height. In the middle part of the holding frame a support plate 7 is easily seen, which is triangular-shaped as seen in plan and the corners of which rods 3 are firmly verbun with the stand by welding. The shock absorbing body 1 is supported with its lower side on the screw 8 benfedern.
These shock-absorbing springs 8 rest with the lower end on the support plate 7 and engage with the upper end partially in recesses 13, the latter being provided on the underside of the shock-absorbing body 1. and extending in the vertical direction. Guide pins 9 are pushed through the shock absorber springs 8, which are loosely guided through the holes 10 of the support plate 7 and provided with heads 11. The upper end parts of the guide pins 9 are provided with screw threads 12 and are screwed to the shock absorber 1 in the narrowed bores 13 '.
The upper end face 14 of the impact collector 1 is used. as a work surface on which the \ item is placed while working. The diameter of the impact collector is slightly smaller than the inside width of the upper holder ring 6. Between the impact body and the upper holder ring 6, spring clips 15 are used to guide the impact collector.
When hammering, logs, etc., so when the workpiece is struck with a hatchet or hammer atü, a downward snap of the shock absorber 1 takes place with each blow, which is caught by the Fe countries 8. The springs 8 are relatively strong, and they are only compressed so strongly in the event of very strong blows that the underside of the shock-absorbing body 1 hits the support plate 7.
The knockdowns on the shock absorber body 1 and thus the vibrations caused by them, which contribute a lot to the spread of noise, are thus largely absorbed by the springs 8. As a result of the resilient support of the impact catcher 1, the resulting vibrations can only be communicated attenuated to the base of the baton and thus to the surrounding area.
The baton described can be used for all kinds of purposes. It is particularly suitable for logging in the household, for hammering by small mechanics, hobbyists, goldsmiths, silversmiths, opticians, etc.
On the wooden shock-absorbing body 1, a metal cap, e.g. B. made of copper, if you want a wooden or metal work surface. The impact catcher could of course also be made entirely of metal, such as copper, lead, etc., as is appropriate for certain types of occupation.
