Fig. 1 zeigt eine Lichtpausmaschine im vertikalen Seitenschnitt.
B. über eine Distanz von 101 cm, ist in der schematischen Fig. 3, *dargestellt. Hierbei werden die Zeich nungen 213 vom lichtempfindlichen Material 25 erst getrennt, nachdem beide von den end- losen Bändern 21 @a;
Method and apparatus for separating a pair of stacked sheets. The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for separating a pair of sheets placed one on top of the other.
According to the present invention, the method for separating a pair of sheets placed one on top of the other is characterized by advancing the sheets in their plane over a surface that is convex to the plane of the projection and by generating a 1) ruekluft, beam in the direction of provision and tangential to the convex surface, which S'trah'l creates a negative pressure zone along the convex surface, for separation,
the bottom sheet from the top, after which the sheets are conveyed further on separate paths.
The device for carrying out this method is characterized according to the present invention by means for pushing the sheets lying on top of one another in their plane, by an organ with a surface that is convex to the pushing plane, by means for generating the compressed air jet and by Means to continue the two sheets from the convex surface on separate paths.
Implementation examples of the method according to the invention are below; with reference to the drawing, which embodiment represents examples of devices according to the invention, described in more detail.
Fig. 1 shows a blueprint machine in a vertical side section. Fig.? shows the sheet separating device on a larger scale in the same representation.
Fg. Ss shows another embodiment of a sheet separating device in the same representation.
In the case of blueprint: asehinen of the kind in which documents and photosensitive sheets are guided around a light source in a stacked arrangement, difficulties have arisen in finding reliable means for separating the documents from the photosensitive sheets after the break.
During the exposure, the drawings and the light-sensitive material are pressed close together.
in order to avoid mutual movements between the two and thus ensure sharp and exact reproductions of the drawings. The effect of this pressing together
possibly also in connection with the effect of the heat supplied by the light as well as the mutual attraction of the leaves by electrical charge, which is caused by the transport. is generated, make .die 'separation of the original from the photosensitive sheet before the transport of the latter to a development site difficult.
Various attempts have already been made to achieve automatic separation of the originals from the photosensitive material. In general, these attempts have failed completely because they are based on the theory that the suction effect of a negative pressure on one of the sheets causes the separation would guarantee this leaf from the other leaf.
If the light-sensitive material. in approximately the same sheet sizes as the sheet size -the template is fed to the machine, it often happens that the edges of the two sheets are not exactly aligned, so that when the two sheets are fed through a suction device, which is intended to separate the two sheets
both sheets by the suction device are enough to be attracted to each. Attempt to thwart an automatic separation from one another. These difficulties have been resolved in the case of the vein-shown blueprint machine.
As can be seen from FIG. H, the blueprint machine shown includes a housing 10 with a base 11, front wall, rear wall 14 and ceiling 1'6. In the transverse direction of the housing 10 and in its upper part, a transparent cylinder 1'7 made of heat-resistant material is provided.
This cylinder 17 is usually mounted so that it can rotate about its axis, but can also be permanently mounted. In the latter case, the translucent wall need not be cylindrical and can have a flat or slightly convex surface. A suitable lamp 19, such as. B '. a Quedksilberdampflampe, is placed in the cylinder 17 in a suitable location under.
The cylinder 17 is also provided with a line 210 that is effective for introducing cooling air into the cylinder and / or as a light shield for part of the cylinder.
This line or this light shield 20 can also be provided with a reflective surface in order to increase the intensity of the light which is radiated through the part of the cylinder wall which is not shielded. A series of flexible, endless strips 51 is around-the light penetrated part of the cylinder 17 leads around.
The bands run from the roller 22, initially backwards to the lower part of the circumference of the cylinder 17. They make one on this path. traveling platform, on which the drawing 23 and the photosensitive paper 25 are transported from a feed table 24.
A series of guide rollers 26 and 2 "7 are used to prevent any relative movement between the photosensitive paper 25 and the drawing 213 in the superimposed position after they leave the feed table 24 From the lower part of the cylinder 17, the drawing and the light-sensitive material now migrate together around the irradiated part of the cylinder 17, with which they are held in contact by the endless belts 21.
Arrived on the upper side of the cylinder 17, the endless belts 2.1 run tangentially forward in the horizontal direction to the underside of a pulley 29, around this, then backwards to the guide rail 30 and Umlen'krolle 311, which are arranged in the rear part of the housing are.
Behind the deflecting roller 311, the belts pass obliquely downwards and forwards to another deflecting roller 32, from which they go upwards and forwards to the deflecting roller 22, in which case they run over the guide roller 3, 4.
The drawings and the photosensitive matrial leave the cylinder 17 at approximately,, the same point as the endless Bän of 21 and migrate from here to forward over. the separating device, which in Fig. 1 is only denoted by the general reference sign 36 . The detailed description of this device follows below with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3.
This device .separates the drawings from the photosensitive material, after which the drawings fall onto a table 37 which, if desired, can be provided with a wiping edge 38 on the cylinder. The light-sensitive paper, on the other hand, is conveyed backwards via the roller 29 and here through the ceiling 16, the blueprint machine liind'urcligef alert: it can now be brought to development.
The blueprint is ventilated through an air outlet 39 in the rear wall 14 of the housing and a fan 40 and kept inside under negative pressure in that the fan 40 expels air through the outlet 3.9, with cooling air through the openings 42, 44 and 46, which are provided in the housing, is sucked, as well as through any other openings, such.
B. those that are only used to ventilate the cylinder 17 and are not shown in the drawing. 42, serves as an inlet, 44 as an outlet opening for the leaves. In addition to cooling and ventilation, the fan 40 generates behind the pulley 29 and across the strand of the endless belts 21 between tween the top of the cylinder 17 and the bottom of the pulley 29 a pronounced negative pressure.
The blueprint machine is also equipped with a fan 47, the air. ent can neither suck in directly from the atmosphere, or, as shown in Fig. 1, suck in air through openings 48 from the interior of the housing of the alternator. The fan 47 is used to supply compressed air to the separating device 36. The supply takes place through the line 49. The fan 40 'and the fan 47 can each be driven individually, or they can be driven together, as shown in FIG. 1 an electric motor 50.
Instead of providing the housing 10 with an air outlet 39 and a fan 40, the housing 10 can of course also be cooled, ventilated and put under negative pressure by means of the fan 47 alone, in that the air flows through the openings 48 to the appropriate extent is sucked in. This air is then compressed by the blower and, with Ülieratmosphärendruek, fed through the line 40 to the separating device.
$ In the following, reference is now mainly made to the detailed illustration in FIG. 2, according to which the separating device 36 is illustrated in all details with regard to the construction and relative position to the cylinder 17. As already mentioned, the belts 21 move from the top of the cylinder 17 to the bottom of the deflection roller 2 (9.
The pressure chamber 51 has a linear cross-section. The upper outer surface is formed by a cylinder jacket segment and is convexly curved in relation to the path of movement of the drawings 2, 3 and the light-sensitive material 25. It is provided on one or both sides with an opening 52, which passes through the line 49 with. the fan 47 is connected.
At a point at which: the upper outer surface of the pressure chamber 511 runs tangentially to the endless belts 21, the pressure chamber 15,, 51 is provided with a series of perforations or openings 54. A cover plate 56 is held at a distance from the outer surface of the pressure chamber 51 by means of spacers 57 and 58 and is firmly connected to the pressure chamber 51 by screws or bolts.
The air coming through the perforations. 54, from which the pressure chamber 51 exits,: enters the gap towards the curved outer surface of the; Pressure chamber 51 and: of the cover plate 516. From this gap: it flows out at a high speed tangentia1 to the named outer surface.
If now the drawing 23 wanders over the part of the curved outer surface, a of the aforementioned gap lies., Then the drawing and the curved outer surface limit a space with nasch outside steadily increasing height.
The air flowing through this space at high speed must - because of the corresponding constant increase in the flow cross section of this space - either experience a decrease in speed in order to fill this space completely, or it must experience a dilution, corresponding to the increase in space .
Each of these cases has the consequence that the air pressure in this room is reduced to subatmospheric pressure. This negative pressure now deflects the drawing in the direction of the curved outer surface of the separating device and therefore away from the path of the photosensitive sheet.
The deflection takes place to such an extent that, between the pressure on both sides. of the drawing sheet in: the main thing is balance.
The light-sensitive material 215, which rests against the endless belts 21, remains in the position attached to the endless belts 2.1 due to the subatmospheric pressure behind the deflection roller 219, which is maintained by the fan 40.
On the other hand, the drawings 28, which were previously applied to the light-sensitive material, are removed from the light-sensitive material as a result of the air flow through the openings 54 and the pressure reduction caused by it in the space between the bands 21 and the pressure chamber 51 .
As a result, the light-sensitive material continues with the belts 211 and moves upwards around the deflection roller 29 to the delivery point, while the drawing that is separated therefrom reaches the table 317 downwards.
The upper outer surface of the pressure chamber could also be provided with an edge which has a series of perforations that generate an air flow in the direction of the path of movement of the paper, which eliminates the need for a cover plate 5, 6,, which forms a gap.
The air pressure in the pressure chamber 51 is also used to strip the drawing from the cylinder 17 and to secure the superimposition of the photosensitive material and the drawing and their attachment to the endless belts 21 after these sheets have passed the cylinder 17 and until they come into contact with the cover plate 56. This is achieved by providing the pressure chamber 51 with a further series of openings 611 in the rear part of this pressure chamber.
The cover plate 56 is. lengthened backwards beyond the openings 61 in order to deflect the air flowing out of the openings 61 so that it follows close to the outer surface of the cylinder 17. At the top flows into the space 62, which is delimited by the outer jacket of the cylinder 17, the cover plate 56 and the endless belts 211.
This embodiment results in a superatmospheric pressure in the space '62, so that the drawing is stripped off the cylinder. The lichtemp sensitive material and the drawing then adhere to the endless belts 21 until they ge long to the intended separation point.
If desired, the Trennungsvor direction can be arranged so that its position is easily adjustable in order to increase the accessibility for cleaning the surface of the cylinder 17 or / to be able to make changes to the space 6'2, if necessary . For this purpose, the ends of the pressure chamber 51 can be pivotably articulated to the boundary walls of the housing 1'0.
If the pressure chamber 51 is arranged in this way, the connection between the line 4'9 and the opening 5'2 is expediently designed to be flexible. However, since the device will not work if the space 6'2 has to be made accessible for special purposes, the line 49 can also be detached from the pressure chamber 51 in such cases.
Another embodiment, which is mainly applicable, is applicable when the sheets of the drawing and of the photosensitive material are sufficiently rigid to be able to follow a flat path over a short distance, if left to their own devices, e.g.
B. over a distance of 101 cm, is shown in the schematic Fig. 3, *. Here, the drawings 213 are separated from the photosensitive material 25 only after both of the endless belts 21 @a;
have been resolved. Guide rollers 09 and 70 direct the two blades to the separating device. This consists mainly of the pressure chambers 71 and 72, which are preferably pivotable. The organ 72 is located behind the organ 71 as seen in the advancing direction .
The lower sheet is separated from the upper sheet by a stream of air emerging through a narrow slot 74, while the upper sheet is similarly diverted from the lower sheet by an air stream through the narrow slot 77. The principle on which these sheets zwa.nglä@ufig distracted from your normal web -, verden, is the same as already on the basis of the Fib embodiment. 2 has been set out.
Appropriate means for individually feeding the sheets further after they have been separated can be provided following the pressure chambers. These means seize the leaves as soon as they are out of the action of the air currents.
