Process for regulating the output of thermal power plants and the device for carrying out this process. The invention relates to a method for regulating the output of thermal power plants, in which at least the greater part of a gaseous propellant describes a circuit, where it is brought to a higher pressure in at least one compressor, then heated by the supply of heat from the outside and then in at least one power-output machine is relaxed and also changes in the power output of the system are generated by changing the pressure level in the circuit. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device two execution of this method.
An increase in the power generation eider system of the type mentioned, for example, from part load to full load, requires a supply of working medium into the circuit, be it from a working medium storage, or, if the working medium is air, by compression of air taken from the atmosphere by means of a Auxiliary compressor to at least the pressure at the insertion point.
For economic reasons, there is an interest in being able to use a working fluid store as low as possible pressure, or at least having to compress the working fluid to be supplied only a little. It has therefore already been proposed to add the working fluid to the circuit on the low-pressure side, d. H. at a point that z. B. between the outlet of a turbine and the inlet of the compressor is to be supplied. However, since the uniform increase in the pressure level in the circuit also increases the weight of the working fluid contained in its high-pressure part, when the working fluid is fed in on the low-pressure side, the circuit compressor itself compresses that portion of the working fluid that belongs in the high-pressure part of the circuit.
The power consumption of the compressor increases temporarily at the expense of the useful power output.
In cases where the system has to be adapted immediately to fluctuations in the load on the system, such as the frequency control of a power network, this type of control is generally unsuitable because of the temporary reduction in the working fluid inlet Utility output.
However, since the reduction in performance only lasts a relatively short time, it is possible to a certain degree in all cases where the conditions for maintaining the speed are not too reliable, such as: when driving a vehicle, a ship or a also of a compressor.
After all, here too there are certain limits to the means of labor. Since the compression work of the work belonging to the high-pressure part of the circuit is taken over by the system itself from the low-pressure part to the high-pressure part, if the inlet is too rapid, the entire useful power could be consumed, so that the speed of the system could drop so far, that it would no longer recover on its own and it would come to a standstill. The lower the pressure level at the beginning of the inlet, the sooner this will occur, since the available power is then lower.
The system in particular will be even more sensitive in this respect, however, in those cases where the circuit prior to the denser are wholly or partially driven by a special turbine without a mechanical coupling with a power turbine. In this case, only a reduced power is available for the additional compaction of the imported working fluid, resulting from smaller shifts in the power distribution to the turbines at a reduced pressure ratio. Thus, particularly at a low pressure level, working fluid may only be admitted relatively slowly on the low-pressure side.
The method according to the present invention avoids this disadvantage because, in order to increase the power output, as long as the working fluid content of the circuit does not fall below a specified fraction of the full load content, working fluid is only fed to the low-pressure part of the circuit from outside the circuit, and that, if that fraction falls below, in the high pressure part of the circuit at least the same amount of working medium as in the low pressure part in the unit of time from outside the circuit is introduced.
Due to the simultaneous admission of labor in both the low-pressure and the high-pressure part, as soon as a fixed fraction of the full load content of the circuit is fallen below, the additional compression work to be performed by the system itself is reduced or even canceled; Yes, there can even be a surplus of power, but since the inlet on the high pressure side now takes place in the circuit at a lower pressure level, it is not necessary to provide a high-pressure reservoir.
Since the pressure in the storage tank also falls during the inlet process and only has its lowest value when the circuit is full, the relatively highest pressure in the storage tank also prevails at the time when the high-pressure side inlet into the circuit has to take place.
In this way, the pressure level can be raised as quickly as required with a small load. Only from the moment when there is only inlet on the low pressure side, the amount that can be admitted second is limited. Calculations have shown, however, that the pressure level can still be cracked from half to full load level in just a few seconds, for example, without the speed of the turbine driving the cycle compressor dropping inadmissibly.
The simultaneous inlet of working medium on the high and low pressure side of the circuit is particularly useful when the current working medium content of the circuit is less than half of the full load content.
To reduce the power generation, work equipment is taken from the circuit. It is expedient to take this working medium in a known manner at a point of high pressure in the circuit, so that little or possibly no compression is required for reintroducing it into the reservoir.
The accompanying drawing shows, in a simplified representation, two example farms of devices for carrying out the method according to the invention, on the basis of which the method is also explained, for example.
In Fig. 1 of this drawing, 1 denotes the compressor, 2 the heat exchanger, 3 the heater, 4 a high-pressure turbine driving the compressor 1, 5 a low-pressure turbine that drives a propeller 7 and 6 the pre-cooler of a thermal power plant which describes air as a working medium in a cycle.
The direction of rotation of the working fluid is indicated by arrows. 8 denotes a working medium store, that is to say in the present case a compressed air reservoir to which the pressure line 14 with built-in non-return valve 141 of an auxiliary compressor 9 driven by a motor 10 is connected.
The memory 8 is through a line 1l, in which an inlet valve 111 is installed, with a point 112 of the working medium circuit in connection, which is located between the outlet of the turbine 5 and the inlet of the United poet 1; It winds this part of the working medium circuit in the present context called the low pressure part of the circuit, in contrast to the high pressure part of the circuit, which is located between the outlet of the compressor 1 and the inlet of the high pressure turbine 4. 13 denotes the suction line of the auxiliary compressor 9, into which an outlet valve 131 is installed.
This line 13 is connected at point 122 to the high pressure part of the circuit. A connection between the lines 11 and 13 can be established through a line 17 into which an inlet valve 12 and a non-return valve 15 are installed. Finally, 16 designates a speed controller assigned to the turbine 4 driving the compressor 1, which is operatively connected to the valve 12.
If the working fluid content of the circuit is now in the thermal power plant shown in FIG. B. under a fixed fraction of the full load and is the power generated to increase, so is admitted by simultaneous opening of the valves 111 and 12 working fluid both at point 112 in the low pressure part and at point 122 in the high pressure part of the circuit. In the case shown, the valve 12 intended for the high-pressure side inlet is influenced in the opening sense by the speed controller 16 of the turbine 4 driving the compressor 1 when the speed falls below a certain limit amount.
The check valve 15 prevents the discharge of working fluid from the circuit if the inlet valve 12 would be opened if the pressure in the memory 8 was too low.
A fixed ratio can also be established for the quantities of working medium to be admitted on the high-pressure side and low-pressure side in the unit of time by means of throttle points arranged in the corresponding supply lines. The equilibrium of the compressor group is least disturbed when the amount flowing into the high pressure part and the amount flowing into the low pressure part are in the same ratio to each other as the working fluid contained in the high pressure part and in the low pressure part at full load.
An exemplary embodiment of the latter type is shown in FIG. 2. In this figure, 18 and 19 designate two throttle points and 20 an inlet valve. By means of the throttle points 18 and 19, if the current output is to be increased, an approximately fixed ratio is established between the quantities entering the circuit on the low-pressure side and the high-pressure side in the unit of time. Only when the pressure in the memory 24 drops almost to the pressure of the circuit on the high pressure side, this relationship is significantly disturbed. If these two pressures are the same, which will be the case when the working fluid content in the circuit has reached a certain fraction of the full load content, there is no longer any high-pressure side inflow.
In the event of a further increase in the circuit pressure and a decrease in the accumulator pressure, the Rüeksehla; gk, lappe2 21 prevents a backflow of labor from the high-pressure oil-side part of the system into the accumulator 24.
An inlet is only found on the low pressure side - dies. In: this pressure range, where working medium is only admitted into the circuit on the low pressure side, a limitation of the amount admitted in the time unit is necessary to avoid impermissible speed reductions of the compressor group.
Such a limitation can be done by hand by appropriate actuation of the inlet valve 20 while observing the speed of the turbine 26; However, it can also take place in that the speed controller 25 of the turbine 26 driving the compressor 22 influences the valve 20 allowing the inlet of Arheits- medium in the low-pressure part of the circuit in a closing sense when the speed of this turbine falls below a fixed limit .
