Centrifugal pump, especially for non-homogeneous fluids. The invention relates to a centrifugal pump, in particular for non-homogeneous conveying materials. It consists in that means are provided which superimpose unavoidable centripetal fields mixing processes in such a way that the strength of these mixing processes increases as soon as the secondary delivery rate decreases.
If non-homogeneous substances, i.e. mixtures of liquid, solid and / or gaseous components, are conveyed by centrifugal pumps, there are often disruptions in operation due to a strong decrease or even complete cessation of the conveyance, and even at relatively low solid and gas contents These malfunctions accumulate to the point of being unbearable.
It should first investigate the cause of these disturbances and then the invention will be described.
Acceleration fields in the material flow rearrange its components. Within a skin of positive accelerations, as occurs in a cross-sectional constriction, the content of specifically lighter components, in particular the gas content, is lower than before and after the constriction. Conversely, there is an increase in the gas content in a field of negative accelerations, as occurs in a cross-sectional expansion and as it also arises as a centripetal field in the rotating impeller of a centrifugal pump. In the centripetal field of the impeller, however, such an increase in the gas content has the detrimental consequence that the delivery pressure of the impeller decreases, which can lead to the malfunction.
This could be avoided by superimposing a second field, namely such a strong positive acceleration, i.e. by means of a strongly narrowed shape of the impeller channels, whereby the narrowing could be chosen so that one field compensates the other.
However, there is an essential difference between the two fields: If for some reason the secondary delivery rate decreases, the positive acceleration in the field generated by the constriction also decreases (even strongly), while the negative acceleration in the centripetal field does not, because the latter does not is generated by the constant speed of the running wheel.
It follows from this, however, that the effectiveness of such a compensation would be tied to the requirement that the secondary delivery rate remains at least approximately constant. However, it is precisely this prerequisite that cannot be met when pumping non-homogeneous substances, in that in particular the content of solid components and often the viscosity of the liquid gom, p:
constant fluctuations during operation. However, this also fluctuates the production resistance and thus also the. secondary flow rate.
If the latter begins to decrease, the superimposed field of positive accelerations would soon become practically ineffective. The centripetal field, on the other hand, remains unaffected. It also has the harmful property that in its area the gas content increases with decreasing secondary delivery. If the latter were to drop so far that the radial speed of the material being conveyed would be the opposite of the rate of increase of its lighter components, in particular its gas bubbles, the latter could no longer leave the wheel at all.
Even before that, however, the content of light components of the kind increased and the delivery pressure of the wheel dropped so much that the static height to which the pump had to deliver could no longer be overcome, so the delivery suddenly stopped. Inside this wheel, a specifically lighter, in particular a gas core, which is surrounded by a ring of specifically heavier components, the radial thickness of the ring regulating itself so that its centrifugal pressure outweighs the static level of resistance. This state is therefore stable, and the once interrupted delivery therefore remains permanently interrupted.
The knowledge gained in this way shows that the centripetal field of the impeller is an unavoidable one, so they point to the need for a completely different one. Way to go. As such, the invention is proposed in accordance with. Means to provide which unavoidable centripetal fields superimpose mixing processes in such a way that the strength of these mixing processes increases when the secondary delivery rate decreases. This requirement can be met, for example, in that an impeller is provided with a maximum of four main blades and that the axial width of the same is greater at the outlet than at the inlet.
The effect here is particularly good if the cross-sections of the impeller channels at the outlet, which are decisive for the meridional velocities of the conveyed material, are at least three times as large as at the inlet. Furthermore, the effect is particularly good when the distance between the exit edge of the impeller blades and the axis of rotation is at most 2.7 times as large as the distance between its entry edge and the axis of rotation.
The requirement can also be met in that between the main blades of the impeller on the outer circumference of the same mixing blades are provided, the front of which is curved forward. It can be achieved in that the front of each main blade, this impeller, is shaped in such a way that it approaches the axis of rotation again after reaching an outermost point. It can be fulfilled in that the front of each main blade of the impeller has a forward curvature on the outside.
It can be achieved in that fixed guide vanes are arranged on the suction side of the impeller in such a way that they protrude into the cavity of the wheel surrounding the vicinity and adapt to the contours of the same.
With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 Ausfüh approximately examples and at the same time the invention will be described in more detail.
Fig. 1 shows a Meridian.-section through the centrifugal pump. The impeller 2 provided with Schau- fe1u 1 conveys the substance fed through the suction pipe 3 into the pressure housing 4, from where the conveying substance flows to its destination through a pressure pipe not shown .
Mainly the impulse of the conveying material passing from the impeller into the housing 4 drives: the conveying material contained in the housing 4 to move in the sense of -the Laufratdd-relhung.
This movement is slowed down by friction on the housing wall, by the flow resistance of the pressure pipe connection, with Sp, iirad "-, ehäuoien also by their: tongue": as well as by the cross-section along the spiral. Even with a full secondary delivery rate, the movement of the substance in the housing 4 remains somewhat more behind the rotation of the impeller than the laws of the swirl require.
If the secondary flow rate decreases for some reason, the impulse of the material from the impeller begins to become weaker and the movement of the material in the housing 4 slows down further. This increases the frictional forces that this substance exerts on the amounts of substance contained in the impeller channels, and there is a tendency towards Mischvor courses in the impeller channels.
Inhomogeneous conveying materials have special properties. Some of them are very tough, and some of them even behave somewhat like solid bodies with smaller thrust forces. Therefore, further special means are required to allow these mixing processes to occur at all and, in particular, to prevent them from being restricted to the parts of the impeller channels that are located on the outside and are directly exposed to the frictional forces.
The means proposed for this purpose are that at most four rotor blades 1 are provided and that the axial width of the rotor blades at the outlet is greater than at the inlet. It is particularly favorable here if the cross-sections of the impeller channels which are decisive for the meridian velocities of the conveyed material are at least three times as large at the outlet as at the inlet. It is also particularly advantageous if the distance between the outlet teeth of the impeller blades and the axis of rotation is at least 2.7 times as large as the distance between their leading edge and the axis of rotation.
The proposed means ensure, on the one hand, that the contour shape of the channel spaces of the impeller, viewed in a section perpendicular to the axis of rotation, is sufficiently compact and, on the other hand, that the contact surface that the amount of substance contained in the impeller channels offers the frictional forces is sufficient is large in order to generate mixing processes despite the special properties of non-homogeneous conveyed materials which, reaching sufficiently deep into the interior of the impeller, overlay the centripetal field of the same.
These mixing processes, which at the same time increase in strength with the frictional forces that generate them, as soon as the secondary delivery rate decreases, become particularly strong then and then reach particularly deep into the centripetal field, and thus have a particularly strong effect when the secondary delivery rate drops an unacceptable increase in particular the gas content in the impeller and thus because of the malfunctions described.
Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment in a section perpendicular to the axis of rotation through the impeller. Here between the main blades 5 of the impeller 6 are provided on the outer circumference of the same mixing blades 7, the front side 8 of which is curved forward. When the secondary delivery rate is full, the flow in the impeller follows approximately the rear side 9 of the main blades 5, and the mixing blades 7 as such are ineffective. However, if the secondary flow rate decreases, the flow leaves the rear 9 and begins the front 10 of the main blades 5 to follow.
At the same time, as already described in Fig. 1, the movement of the conveying material in the pressure housing slows down, and the mixing blades 7 then begin with their front side 8 conveying material from:
to pick up the pressure housing, throw it approximately in the direction of the dotted arrow into the interior of the L1au.frades and thereby superimpose the centripetal field mixing processes in such a way that the strength of these mixing processes increases as soon as the secondary flow rate decreases.
In a further exemplary embodiment, the front side of the impeller blades is shaped in such a way that, after reaching an outermost point, it approaches the main axis again.
Fig. 3. shows in a running wheel 11 such a blade 12, the front of which after reaching the outermost point 13 approaches again at 14 of the axis of rotation; If the secondary delivery rate drops, the flow leaves the rear side, the blade and part 14 generate a wave in the substance that is then slowed down in the pressure housing, which runs approximately along the line drawn in dotted line in the extension of 14 and which the substance and through it allows the generated friction forces to penetrate deeper into the impeller channel and therefore superimposes mixing processes on the centripetal field,
whose strength increases with decreasing delivery rate. This effect strengthens ver see if also the mixing blades 7 described with reference to FIG. 2 are arranged, as shown in FIG. As the further course of the starting from part 14 and the other dotted lines indicate, the mixing paddle 7 then grasps these fronds and throws the substance contained in it into the interior of the impeller.
In the impeller 15 according to FIG. 4, the front side 10 of the impeller blades 16 has a forward curvature on the outside. When the secondary flow rate is full, its influence is small, since the flow mainly follows the rear 9 of the blade and therefore hardly touches the forward curve of the front side. However, if the secondary flow rate falls, the flow begins more towards the front 10 to follow the blade and its forward curvature then initially increases the delivery pressure of the impeller, so it works against a further decrease in delivery rate.
If the delivery rate continues to decrease anyway, a flow develops at the forward curve, as indicated by the dotted arrows, in that the movement of the substance in the pressure housing has become so slow and its speed relative to the impeller so great that the forward curved part of the blade front side, while deflecting the already strongly weakened impeller flow, is able to pick up material from the pressure housing and throw it into the interior of the impeller. The resulting mixing process, which increases in starch with decreasing amount of feed, can be further reinforced by also arranging the mixing blades 7 already described.
The embodiments of FIGS. 2 to 4 are not tied to a certain number of main and mixing blades. You can find use both on their own and with advantage in connection with the execution example described with reference to FIG.
In the exemplary embodiments described above, the mixing processes are superimposed on the centripetal field from the pressure side of the impeller. In a further exemplary embodiment, which is also drawn in in FIG. 1, this is done from the suction side. Fixed guide vanes 17 are arranged on the suction side of the impeller in such a way that they protrude into the cavity of the wheel surrounding the hub and adapt to the contours of the wheel.
With full secondary delivery, the influence of these guide vanes is minimal. If, however, the secondary delivery rate decreases, these guide blades ensure that the angle at which they guide the material into the wheel no longer corresponds to the entry angle given to the impeller blades. As a result, there are mixing processes that are carried into the impeller with the flow and that superimpose its Zentri petalfeld.
The strength of these mixing processes increases as soon as the secondary delivery rate increases. In addition, the Leits @ chaufesu prevent the emergence of an unavoidable centripetal field,
by preventing the rotation of the impeller from reversing to Uie (material flow on the impeller hub and in the suction pipe. This exemplary embodiment is also not tied to a specific number of blades. It can be used both on its own and with advantage in conjunction with other exemplary embodiments .
