Variabler Kondensator.
Variable capacitor. In the case of variable capacitors for high voltages and high frequencies, the currents are often so high that the power supply to the movable capacitor plates causes significant difficulties.
At high frequency, the current can be distributed approximately evenly over a larger contact surface. .the electricity bundle cannot be reached. Feeding via several contacts usually does not bring complete success either, since the power distribution is very uneven. especially if the further line 1,1-ung is not strictly symmetrical to the contacts.
The present invention eliminates these difficulties, and with it it is particularly possible to distribute the current to several current supply contacts. The invention relates to a variable capacitor, in particular for high current loads.
It consists in the fact that the movable electrode of the variable capacitor is divided into at least two partial electrodes with approximately the same capacitance compared to the fixed electrode of the capacitor and that these are isolated from each other and from the common support element and that there is at least one for each partial electrode Power supply:
gs-- organ leads which. Comes from a stationary part of the one co: ndensatior feed line, where all power feed lines are connected in parallel.
The advantage of this invention is that the distribution of the current to the movable capacitor plates no longer takes place on unmistakable, random current paths. Each partial electrode absorbs a portion of the ion capacitor current that is divided according to its partial capacitance.
The individual power supply organs near the part, electrodes, thus receive their share of the total power, which can be determined in advance. In this way it is possible to make the power distribution and thus the warming uniform. The entire: Electricity heat losses are thereby reduced to a minimum.
The invention will now be explained in more detail using exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1a and 1b show front and side views of a rotary plate capacitor. Between the fixed Koudensatorp.latten 1, which are held together in a known manner by means of bolts 2 and spacers 3, the rotatable plates 4 are rigidly arranged on the axis of rotation 5 in such a way,
that they move between the fixed plates with a corresponding air gap: let them rotate. Each plate of the hewegli, # hen electrode forms a partial electrode, because the Drehplat th 4 are isolated on the axis of rotation 5 is arranged. The. can be done in such a way that the D.rehachs.e itself consists of insulating material. For this see z. B. ceramic material.
The axis can also be made of metal, the rotating plates being attached to it by means of isolating spacers. In the present example, the axis 5 consists of insulating material, spacer rings 6 are pushed between the rotating plates to maintain a correct term spacing, which are separated from each other by discs 11 made of insulating mate rial. The power supply "o,
after each individual rotating plate takes place by means of resilient contact pieces 7, which slide at one end 7a on the rotating plate and at its other end 7b by means of. a metal bolt and lei border spacers 9 are hooked together.
Here is: the fixed part: this. Connection of one candlestick line. The current flow is evenly distributed over the individual rotating plates, so that the transition points 7a also have uniform current loads.
Figures 2a and 2b show. in front and side view another embodiment of a rotary plate capacitor. Between :
the fixed plates 1 are similar to those of the fing. la and 1b, the turntables 4 arranged at. It is easy to see that, without anything changing in the uniform @Stromv: distri- bution to: the individual power conduction organs, it:
is permitted, two (or more) adjacent turntables. to be fed via a common supply line. It: only the load capacity of the power supply organs must not be exceeded. In the example Fig. 2a and 2b are between two neigh disclosed plates. 4'a un: d 4'b, resp. 4 "a and 4" b metallic spacer rings 9 attached so that they are connected in pairs.
The power is supplied to them jointly via: the two slide springs 110- which contact the cylindrical spacers 9 in a current-locking manner. Between the panels; 4'b and 4 "a, the insulating spacer 11 is attached.
This has the consequence: that the currents through the plates 4'a and 4'b res.p. 4 "a and 4" b and via the respective power supply organs. 10 flow. The supply organs 1 0 are by means of. Screws on the stationary Stromzuleitu ngteil 12 'attached.
In Fig. 3, it is purely schematic: Darge shows how the power supply takes place in a door plate capacitor. Opposite the fixed condensator plate 1 is the condenser electrode which can be seen about the axis 3 in the direction of the arrow.
The pivotable capacitor electrode consists of individual sub-electrodes, namely plates 2a that are insulated from one another. The plates 2a are means. Bars 5 made of insulating material together. Each individual plate is elec trically by means of suitable connections 14 with: the pivot axis.
These connections 1.4 can be formed as sliding contacts, or it can be: flexible z. B. to a spiral wound ribbons or high frequency braid are used in a known manner ver. The pivot axis 3 forms the stationary part of the capacitor supply line, via which the strip-shaped partial plates 2a are connected in parallel.
A rolling contact according to FIGS. 4a and 4b can also be used as the power supply element. On .der Schwenka bse 3 contact rings 1.5 are attached. Concentric to: these rings each have a further @dmehbaren contact ring 116 provided: on each of which. a movable partial electrode: 2a is arranged.
The outer ring 16 is connected to the inner ring via conical pairs of rollers 17 (in such a way that both rings can be rotated against one another. The rollers are pressed against one another in pairs by means of springs, so that a metal transition from the ring to ring comes about.
The variable condenser according to the invention is particularly suitable as a tuning condenser for Schwiaigkreio.e for very short waves with very high power transmitters. Here the capacitor currents are already. very large, in the order of 100 amps and:
mdhir. The current can be distributed evenly to the current supply organs after the individual movable electrodes, and current overloading of the same is avoided. The facility can also be used to advantage where there is a need for compliance:
of the loss resistance. in itself comes to z. B. for measuring devices etc.
