Loom. The present invention relates to a loom, electrically controlled, provided with a thread breaker.
This fabric loom is characterized in that it comprises separate signals to indicate the breaking, relaxation or exhaustion of a warp yarn, on the one hand, and of a weft yarn, on the one hand. on the other hand, these signals being controlled by auxiliary and separate electrical circuits, in each of which is established a switch which is open as long as the corresponding wire remains split and which, when closed as a result of:
breakage, relaxation or exhaustion of the wire, acts, by a servo-control with a relay common to these circuits, on a switch established in the supply circuit of the motor of the loom to interrupt this circuit while acting simultaneously on an electromagnetic brake to stop the loom.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, a partial embodiment of the loom forming the subject of the invention.
The loom shown is a circular and electrically operated loom.
In this trade, one or more shuttles 1 are driven in a continuous rotational movement around a vertical axis by means of electromagnets 2, established below each shuttle and whose supply is ensured, from of a direct current source 3, by fies 41 and 42 brushes which rub against rings 51 and à2 integral with the mobile equipment. This is rotated by a motor 6 supplied by a separate source, alternating current (three-phase).
The shuttle or shuttles move between the two layers 81 and K of the horizontal shed, to ensure the automatic formation of the pitch, using the weft yarn fed by each shuttle while the overturning of the shed is obtained by means of flat or circular rails 101 and 102 with automatic control. The fabric produced 11, pulled up by means not shown, is guided to the place where the step is formed, between two circular rings 121 and 122.
Several of these heddles are distributed regularly and in two rows around the loom, so that it can be fed with a .cylindrical chain of son 13 which are debited at the lower part of the loom by.
beams-. Before crossing a pair of heddles, the threads 13 pass through elastic b wrinkles constituted by flexible rods 14, mounted on a fixed conductive support 141, each rod being terminated by an open loop 14 = (pigtail) in which is pledged the corresponding wire 13.
By the tension of the wire 13, the rod 14 tilts towards the right of the figure against the action of an opposing force, generally obtained by speaking. deformation by winding of the base 14 "-of the rod. When the tension of the wire 13 ceases, as a result of its breaking, relaxation or exhaustion, the rod 14 automatically straightens and comes into contact with a bar metal 15, which extends over the entire width of the pair of stringers in question and which is common to all the rods 14 serving to guide the wires 13 controlled by these two beams. The metal bar 15 is connected by a wire 16, to one of the terminals of an electric light signal, for example to a red bulb lamp 17 and / or to one terminal of an acoustic signal, for example to an electric bell 18 emitting a high-pitched sound.
The other terminals of said or said signals are connected, in parallel, by an II 19 to the positive terminal of the DC source 3. The negative terminal of this source is connected, by a wire 20, to three relays 21, in series, which, by being excited, cause the simultaneous openings of the switches 22 respectively established in the supply wires 23 connecting a general switch 24 to the drive motor 6 of the loom. The output of these relays is connected, by a wire 25, to the common support 141 of the flexible rods 14, said wire 25 being permanently connected to the ground, that is to say to the metal frame 36 of the loom, in n 'being not isolated from it,
which is materialized by a wire 361. The wire 19 is also connected, by a wire 26, to the brush 41 of the electromagnets, while the other brush 42 is connected, by a wire 27, to the negative terminal of the continuous source 3. In wire 19 is interposed a switch 28, manually operated, and in wire 27 an appropriate indicator device 29 (ampere meter).
On the supply wires 23 of the motor 6 is connected an alternating current relay 30 which, being energized, causes the release of a braking device acting on a rotary member of the loom, for example a belt brake 31 acting directly on it. the shaft 4-A or on a shaft 32 integral in rotation with the latter. When the relay 30 ceases to be energized, following the removal of the power supply to the motor 6, a spring 33, of adjustable tension, causes the immediate application of the brake 31.
The metallic shuttle 1 carries, on its external lateral pa king, a brush 34 which constantly rubs, during the angular displacement of the shuttle, between the two layers 81 and 82 of the pick, on a vertical circular comb 35 in the slots of which are respectively engaged all the warp threads interested by the pair of heddles considered. This circular pei gne 35 rests on the metal frame 36 of the loom with the aid of an annu lar part 37 of an insulating material.
Said comb 35 is connected by a wire 38, in which is inserted a switch 39 which is normally closed, to one of the terminals of an electric light signal, for example of a lamp 40 with a blue bulb, and / or to one of the terminals of an acoustic signal, for example to an electric bell 41 emitting a low sound (therefore signals clearly different from those adopted for the warp threads), the other terminal of said signals 40 and 41 being linked to the wire 19 which ends, as said above, at the positive terminal of the continuous source 3.
The shuttle 1 carries, on the internal side face and by means of an insulator 42, an arm 43 terminated by a wiper 44, permanently applied to a metal crown 45 integral, at 46, to the metal frame 36 and which constitutes., for example, one of. shuttle tracks.
The arm. 43 carries a flexible rod 47, terminated by an open loop (tail of! Coehon), to guide the wire 9 coming out of the shuttle. When the wire 9 is stretched, the rod 47estmaintained out of contact with the metallic body of the shuttle.
If the thread 9 breaks, is relaxed, or if the bobbin is exhausted, the rod 47 is released and automatically straightens by coming into contact with the metal body of the shuttle or ove a finger 48 carried by the latter. This results in the closing of the elireuit 38 of the lines 40 and 41, at the same time as the closing of the circuit 25 of the relays 21,
which gives rise to the operation of these signals and the stopping of the motor 6 with the application of the brake 31. It is known that before the starting of the loom or after the replacement of the shuttle (s), the son 9 coming out of these di are relaxed, so that the flexible rod or rods 47 are applied to the metallic body of their shuttle, which closes the circuit 25-38 referred to above. The profession cannot therefore be started since its motor cannot be supplied (the switches 22 being kept open by the relays 21). To remedy this, the switch 39 is temporarily opened, which puts the signals 40, 41 and the relays 21 off.
The motor 6 is thus powered and, when the loom has operated sufficiently so that the son or son 9 are fully engaged in the pitch and are, therefore, taut (which separates the rod or rods 47 of their shuttle), we closes switch 39 so that the weft breaker can operate normally. .
A thread-breaking device is thus obtained for which distinct and distinctly different signals are provided for the warp threads and the weft threads. When one of the warp threads belonging to a web breaks, relaxes or is exhausted, the flexible rod 14, held by this thread, is released and comes into contact with the corresponding bar 15, which causes operation. the signal (s) reserved for this bar and the immediate stopping of the loom, by removing the power supply to motor 6 and applying the brake 31. The person who supervises the loom can, based on the emission of a particular automatic signal (high-pitched sound) and on the ignition of a lamp 17 (red) to realize where it is necessary to intervene.
As soon as the released rod 14 is kept away from the bar 15 by the tension of the spared or replaced wire 6, the loom can be restarted by closing the switches 22 and releasing the brake. The same ef fects are obtained when at least one of the weft threads breaks, slackens or runs out, which is immediately manifested by the lighting of a blue lamp and the emission of a signal. particular acoustics (bass sound) and by stopping the trade. By remedying the problem and manipulating, if necessary, the auxiliary switch 39, the job can be restarted.
The general switch 24, as well as the auxiliary switches 28 and 39, the relays 21 with the switches 22, the indicating device 29 as well as the light 17-40 and acoustic signals 18-41 can be mounted on a common switchboard. within reach of the person supervising the trade.
We can provide different embodiments consisting of looms, the pick of which is circular or rectilinear and the shed of which is horizontal, vertical or oblique, these looms can be arranged to weave plain weaves or others, for example under the control of Jacquard, Vincensi, etc.
