Die durch reine Luft beaufschlagte Tur bine 12 treibt den Kreislaufverdichter 1. Mit dem aus der Turbine 12 und dem Verdichter 1 bestehenden Aggregat ist ausserdem eine elektrische Maschine 34 gekuppelt;
Method for operating a gas turbine system with a power turbine and a downstream exhaust gas turbine and device for carrying out the method. The invention relates to a method for operating a gas turbine system, in which the working medium is compressed in at least one compressor, then heated, further expanded in at least one turbine and returned to the compressor,
with this circuit of Arbeitsmit means constantly a partial amount is removed and relaxed in a power turbine and a downstream exhaust gas turbine, while a compressor driven by the exhaust gas turbine supplies fresh working medium as a replacement to the circuit again and to a device for performing the method.
A bypass of. Work equipment around the power turbine is necessary in order to be able to maintain the operation of the rest of the system in the event of a short-term reduction or interruption of the power output, in order to be able to resume or increase the output of power without delay if the power load increases to be able to.
If the working fluid is bypassed around the utility turbine, the exhaust fluid from the essential turbine is at a higher temperature than in normal operation because there is no work-performing expansion.
This would result in the need to manufacture the exhaust gas turbine as well as the power turbine from highly heat-resistant building material in order to keep the mechanical stresses within low limits as in the power turbine.
To avoid the described disadvantage, it is proposed according to the invention, during the reduction or interruption of the useful power in a line bypassing the useful power turbine and leading into the exhaust gas turbine, the bypassed part of the working medium,
Mix in air at a lower temperature. The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that a mixing device is arranged in a line bypassing the power turbine and leading into the exhaust gas turbine,
in which the circulated part of the working medium can be mixed with air at a lower temperature.
Air from the working medium circuit on the system can be fed to the mixing device through a feed device. This supply device is expediently connected to the outlet from the circulation compressor.
An embodiment of the device for carrying out the method according to the invention is described below with reference to the drawing, and at the same time the. Method according to the invention is explained for example.
The compressor 1 compresses the working medium flowing in from the line 2, with intermediate cooling taking place in the cooler 3, and conveys it in the compressed state partially through the line 4 into a heat exchanger 5 and partially through the line 6 into one Heat exchanger 7.
The working medium preheated in the heat exchanger 5 flows through the line 8 into which the pipe system 9 of the gas heater 10 surrounds the room. The heated working medium then flows through the line 11 into the turbine 12 and, after expansion, passes through the line 13 into the pipe system 14 of the heat exchanger 5.
Here, part of the heat still contained in the relaxed working medium is transferred to the working medium arriving from the compressor 1 through the line 4. In a cooler 15, a further part of the residual heat is withdrawn from the working medium.
In the cooled state, the working medium passes through the line 2 back into the compressor 1, where it starts the cycle described anew: The part of the working medium withdrawn from the circuit through the line 6 passes through the heat exchanger 7 and the Lei device 16. as combustion air to the burner 17 of the gas heater. 10.
The combustion gas flows through the pipe system 9 and gives off part of its heat to the working medium arriving from the line 8. At a reduced temperature, the combustion gas flows through the line 18 into the power turbine 19.
The exhaust line 20 has a switching device consisting of two throughflow elements 21 and 22, with the aid of which the exhaust gas of the power turbine 19 can be fed to the heat exchanger 7 once and to the exhaust gas turbine 23 the other time.
The exhaust gas therefore either passes through the space surrounding the pipe system 24 of the heat exchanger 7 or through the exhaust gas turbine 23 into the discharge line 25.
As a replacement for the working medium taken from the circuit, air is supplied to the system through line 26.
This air can, depending on the setting of the switching device consisting of the chillers 27 and 28, either be withdrawn directly from the atmosphere through the line 20 or fed through the line 30 in a pre-compressed state by the compressor 31.
The compressor 31 in turn receives the air through the line 3-2 from the atmosphere. During compaction in. Compressor 31 is intercooled in a cooler 33.
The turbine 12 acted upon by pure air drives the circulation compressor 1. An electrical machine 34 is also coupled to the unit consisting of the turbine 12 and the compressor 1;
with the help of which the system is put into operation while a lack of energy is replaced or excess energy can be dissipated during operation. The useful power of the turbine 19 is transmitted to the ship's propeller 37 via the gear 35 and the shaft 36.
By the exhaust gas turbine 23 of the United denser 31 is driven. For the rapid reduction or complete interruption of the useful output, the useful output turbine 19 is equipped with a bypass line 3; 8; through which work equipment from the line 18 can be led directly into the guide rod 20.
A part of the working fluid to be bypassed around the turbine 19 through the line 3'8 can be led through the line 39 from the system directly into the discharge line 2'5.
Cooling air from the delivery line 6 of the compressor 1 in the mixing chamber 41 is admixed with the remainder not discharged through the line 40: a throughflow element 42 is in the line 18, a throughflow element 43 in the line 38 and a throughflow element 44 in the line 39 arranged on.
With the help of these flow organs, on the one hand, the amount of working medium flowing around the utility turbine 19 and, on the other hand, the amount of working medium discharged from the system through line 39 can be determined.
With the aid of the throughflow element 45 in the line 40, the amount of air to be added to the circulated working medium for cooling is finally determined.
The system shown is particularly suitable for propelling warships. The individual machines and heat exchangers are designed in such a way that maximum efficiency is achieved with an output intended for cruising. The throughflow organ 2'1 is then open; the through flow organs 22 and 28 are closed and the throughflow element 27 is open.
The exhaust gas from the power turbine 19 flows through the pipe system 24 around the space of the heat exchanger 7 into the exhaust line 25. This preheats the combustion air intended for the gas heater 10 and thus largely recovers the residual heat of the work flowing out of the system.
The air that is freshly fed into the circuit to replace this amount of working fluid removed is fed directly into the system through lines 29 and 26. The system works with a low pressure level of the circuit, for which the blade shape and the passage cross-sections of the flow machines are designed, so that the best possible efficiency is ensured.
To increase the output, the flow organs: 21, 22 and 27, 28 are repositioned as shown in the drawing. The exhaust gases from the power turbine 19 then flow through the exhaust turbine 23 into the exhaust gas line 25. The exhaust gas turbine drives the compressor 31, which draws in air from the atmosphere through the line 32 and compresses it more or less strongly through the line 30 as required introduces the cycle.
The pressure level in the circuit is raised accordingly. In this way, the useful output of the system can be multiplied. - for example by five to ten times the value - while still being able to achieve acceptable levels of efficiency. If the output of useful power by the turbine 19 is to be reduced or interrupted, the flow element 43 is opened to a greater or lesser extent and the flow cross-section of the flow element 42 is reduced, or it is completely closed.
Part or all of the working medium arriving through the line 18 from the gas heater 10 then flows through the bypass line 38 partly into the line 20 and partly through the more or less open flow element 44 directly into the discharge line 25. At the same time, it is also the throughflow element 45 is opened, so that air passes from the compressor 1 into the mixing chamber 41.
The flow cross-section of the organs 42 to 45 is selected such that on the one hand the turbine 19 still delivers the required reduced power and on the other hand the working medium diverted into the line 20 is cooled to a temperature at which the exhaust gas turbine 23 is damaged excluded are. Both the line 22 and the turbine 28 can then be produced from a building material which does not have to be particularly suitable for high temperatures.
Only the line 39, which has a ge wrestling cross section and a fold; does not represent a large element; must be made of highly heat-resistant baggage.
The method can be used for any type of gas turbine system in which a turbine for driving one or more auxiliary machines is connected behind a power turbine.
