Description

Vibration-free explosion engine with pistons rotating in opposite directions. To achieve vibration-free operation, explosion engines with pistons rotating in opposite directions have already been proposed. These so-called boxer engines are superior to all other types in terms of mass balancing. In the known 31o 1 ores of this type, however, either the connecting rods acted on a common crankshaft,

which caused the cylinders to be offset from one another, which would disturb the balance of forces, or the connecting rods were led out of the cylinder, which made it impossible to use the pistons as charge pumps at the same time.

According to the invention, these shortcomings should be eliminated in that the connecting rods are outside the piston and the cylinder; attack the piston pin and act on two separate crankshafts.

In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is Darge provides. In your 1Iotor drawn in section, the connecting rods 1 of the two contiguous pistons 2 engage their piston pins 3 outside the pistons and the common cylinder 10 and act on two separate crankshafts B.

The piston pins 3 -are guided straight in slots 4 of the cylinder 10 . The two inner piston ends 5 delimit a common explosion space 6, while the outer ends 7; j1 charge pump pistons act for the two-stroke engine. The crankshafts 8 are connected to one another by bevel gears and a transverse shaft 9 so that they rotate in opposite directions. Instead of bevel gears, screw gears can also be used. The transverse shaft 9 forms the actual drive shaft of the motor.
