Device for regulating the flow of goods in pasta presses. The present invention relates to a device for regulating the flow of material in pasta presses.
Continuously working screw presses for pasta are usually equipped with an automatic mixing device. This mixing device is fed semolina and water as a steady stream. Semolina and water pass through the mixing device and are processed into a homogeneous mixture in the same. This mixture emerges at the end of the mixing device and enters the actual press. In the screw press, the mixture is kneaded into dough and then pressed out through a mold plate and brought into the desired shape. For the press to work properly, it is desirable that it has a mixture that is as uniform as possible in consistency.
It has now been found that changes in the evenness of the mixture immediately affect the force absorption of the screw press. In the device according to the invention, means influenced by the change in the power consumption of the drive motor are provided which regulate the supply of at least one of the components that make up the material flow in such a way that the mixture supplied to the press remains uniform.
The device expediently has a servomotor for actuating the regulating means, a control magnet for the servomotor and an instrument provided in the circuit of the drive motor and influencing the circuit of the control magnet, which closes the circuit of the servomotor as soon as the power consumption of the drive motor from the intended nominal value deviates.
In the accompanying drawing, a device according to the invention is shown as an example and schematically.
1 shows the screw press, 2 the motor driving the screw press, 3 the continuously acting mixer, 4 the semolina feed, 5 the water feed. The water supply is regulated by the height of the water level 6. The outlet opening for the water is designed as a nozzle, so that the amount of water exiting is a function of the height of the water above the nozzle. The outlet through the nozzle is regulated by adjusting an overflow 7. The adjustment of the same is done, for example, by a servomotor 8 via a gear transmission 9, with the intermediary of an overflow spindle 10.
The servo motor 8 is controlled by the instru ment 11. This instrument is designed either as an ampere meter or as a watt meter and reacts to the power consumption of the drive motor 2.
The instrument expediently has an adjustable resistance so that the pointer device 12 can be set to 0 for a given power consumption of the motor. If the power consumption of the Mo sector, the pointer device suggests z. B. to the left. If the deflection is sufficient, a contact is closed, whereby a control magnet 13 is excited.
This closes the circuit of the servo motor 8 and the motor starts, in the desired direction of rotation, so that the overflow 7 is reduced. This reduces the pressure level above the water inlet 5 and, accordingly, the amount of water flowing out through the nozzle 5 in the unit of time. The mixture now becomes drier and the power consumption of the press increases. It increases until the power consumption of Mo tor 2 returns to normal. The deflection of the pointer 12 drops back to 0.
The current of the control magnet is interrupted and the servomotor 8 switches off. If the power consumption of the motor now rises, if the power consumption of the motor 2 rises above the normal value, then the deflection of the pointer 12 takes place in the opposite direction. The process is repeated accordingly, with the difference that the direction of rotation of the servo motor 8 changes. As a result, the overflow 7 is lifted. The height of the water level 6 increases, and thus the amount of water flowing into the mixing trough increases. The dough will be softer. The power consumption of the press decreases until the power consumption of the motor 2 has reached the normal value and the pointer 12 is back in the 0 position.
In order to avoid excessive oscillation of the control process, a timer 14 is expediently built into the circuit. This interrupts the circuit of the control magnet 13 during an adjustable period a and closes it during the adjustable period b, in order to reopen it for the period a after the period b has expired, etc. It is thus achieved that the instrument 11 incoming pulses only act on the servomotor 8 during the normally short period b and then be interrupted during the period a.
Since the periods a and b can be set as desired, it is up to you to influence the control process and to set the periods a and b so that a strong oscillation is avoided. For large excursions of the pointer 12, an additional contact 15 is expediently provided. If the power consumption of the motor 2 deviates very strongly from the normal power consumption, a contact 15 is closed and an alarm device 16 comes into operation, which draws the operator's attention to the abnormally high change in power and enables a rapid correction.
Correspondingly, the whole regulation can of course also be converted to the semolina feed, since the control pulse coming from the main motor can be used to regulate the semolina feed. Likewise, instead of the measuring nozzle for water regulation, another flow regulation can of course also be used, e.g. B. a valve, the servomotor 8 controls the flowing water quantum in a suitable manner by opening and closing this valve.
