Process for cooling lumpy goods. The invention relates to a process for cooling lumpy material, which was previously subjected to a treatment un ter elevated temperature. The method is characterized in that the heat still contained in the material is partially fed to a gas turbine system. The heat can, for example, be transferred to the working fluid of the gas turbine plant by means of a heat transfer medium. However, a gaseous heat transfer medium which cools the lumpy material can itself be the working medium of the gas turbine system.
The method according to the invention is explained below on the basis of a number of exemplary embodiments of systems for implementing the method according to the invention, for example.
1 shows a system in which the cooling gas itself is the working medium of a gas turbine system operating with a closed process, FIG. 2 shows a system in which the working medium of a gas turbine system operating with an open process is heated by exchanging heat with the cooling gas 3 shows a system in which the working fluid of a gas turbine system operating with a closed process is heated by heat exchange with the cooling gas,
4 a system in which the working fluid of an open process gas turbine system is additionally heated in a combustion chamber after being heated by the cooling gas, FIG. 5 a system in which the working fluid of an open process gas turbine system is in a gas heater is additionally heated after being heated by the cooling gas, Fig.
6 shows a system in which the working fluid of an open-process gas turbine system with two separate turbines for compression and useful power is additionally heated after being heated by the cooling gas in a combustion chamber, FIG. 7 shows a system in which the working fluid is partly with a closed, partially working with an open process gas turbine system with two turbines for compression and one turbine for useful power after heating by the cooling gas in a gas heater is additionally heated.
In the cooling container 1 (Fig. 1-7) a stüekiges good - which had previously been subjected to a treatment at elevated temperature, for example coke from a coke or gas oven, is introduced through a filling device 2. The glowing coke falls out of the filling device, forming a cone. 3 on the previously introduced coke, whose mass 4 is more cooled in the lower part and even less in the upper part.
The cooled coke is discharged through a removal device 5 below, in order then to be ge leads to a warehouse or directly to consumption points. Line 6 introduces a gaseous coolant into the cooling container, which coolant flows off again through line 7 in a heated state.
In the system shown in Fig. 1, the heated coolant is first fed through the line 7 to a dust separator 8, in which the coke dust entrained during cooling is separated. The dedusted gas flows through the Lei device 9 into the turbine 10 and from there through the line 11 into a Dampferzeu ger 12. After the cooling gas escapes into the line 13, a larger part of the heat generated during the cooling of the coke filling in the container 1 is either in the turbine 10 or in the steam generator 12 the wor recycled. Part of the residual heat is finally dissipated in the cooler 14.
From this residual heat, for example, water is used, which is fed through line 15 and afterwards can be passed through the line 16, for example, to consumption points not shown. The recooled cooling gas now flows through line 17 into the compressor 18 and ge then arrives again through line 6 in the cooling container 1. To replace the Ver losses of working fluid - from which a part of the amount escape, for example, through stuffing boxes and leaks in the system can - a compressor 19 is connected to the described circuit of the coolant through the line 20, through which air from the atmosphere can be supplied to the circuit.
The oxygen in the air burns in the cooling container 1, while the nitrogen remains in the circuit as a coolant.
The turbine 10 drives the compressor 18 and the power generator 21, which dissipates the useful power of the system as electrical energy to the outside. The compaction ter 19 can be operated by an electric motor, not shown, which is connected to the network of the power generator 21. To put the system into operation, the power generator 21, switched as a motor, can drive the compressor 18 and the turbine 10 until the coolant itself can drive the turbine and thus the thief.
In the system according to FIG. 2, the cooling medium flowing through the cooling chamber 1 is not itself passed into the gas turbine, but rather through a heat exchanger 22 for heating a second gas intended only for the turbine. From the heat exchanger, the coolant passes through the line 23 for further utilization of its heat in a steam generator 24 and then through the line 25, the fan 26 and the line 6 back into the cooling container 1.
As the working fluid for the gas turbine system, air is taken from the atmosphere through line 27, compressed by the compressor 28 and initially preheated in a heat exchanger 29 that acts as a recuperator, and then heated to the final working temperature in heat exchanger 22. the. The heated working fluid now flows into the turbine 30 and, after expansion, from it through the heat exchanger 29 into the steam generator 24. Finally, the working fluid can flow through the line 31 to other consumption points (not shown) or directly into the open air. The turbine 30 drives the compressor 28 and the power generator 21.
The steam of the steam generator: 24 can be used to operate a steam power plant, not shown, or for heating.
In the system according to FIG. 3, the coolant is circulated through the cooling container 1, the heat exchanger 221 and the steam generator 24 in the same way as in the system according to FIG. 2. The attached gas turbine system works but with a circuit of the working medium ..
The compressor 32 receives recooled working gas through the line 3-3 and conveys it in compressed 7m-stan.d into the heat exchanger 34 which is effective as recuperative toxicity and then into the heat exchanger 22. The now heated Working gas is applied to the turbine 35 and, after expansion, passes into the heat exchanger 34 and from there into the steam generator 24.
Finally, the working gas flows through the line 36 into the cooler 37, in which part of the residual heat is fed in through the line 38 and the cooling water flowing out through the line 39 leads abge. The working gas flows out of the cooler through line 33 back into the compressor 32 in order to start the cycle again here. As a substitute for the losses arising at the leaks of the working medium circuit of the gas turbine system, working fluid is ulled from the cooling circuit of the cooling container 1 through line 40 into line 36 of the working medium circuit of the gas turbine system e. The losses occurring in the cooling circuit of the cooling container 1 are automatically replaced by leaks in the negative pressure area of this circuit from the atmosphere.
The turbine 35 drives the compressor 32 and the power generator 21, which dissipates the useful power of the system in the form of electrical energy to the outside.
The system of FIG. 4 works in principle the same as the system of FIG. 2; In the working medium circuit, however, a combustion chamber 45 is also connected downstream of the heat exchanger 22. Through this combustion chamber, the working fluid of the cabin installation can still be heated to a higher temperature than only through the coolant of the container 1 alone. A burning glass is introduced into the combustion chamber through the compressor 46 and is obtained through the line 47 from a point not shown. For this purpose, carbon monoxide, for example, can be used, which has been separated from town gas during gas production.
The fuel gas compressor 46, like the compressor 28 and the power generator 21, is driven by the turbine 30. The system according to FIG. 5 works like the systems according to FIGS. 2 and 4 with an open process of the working medium for the gas turbine system. An additional gas heater 50 is also used, which heats the working fluid of the gas turbine system through heat exchange. This gas heater receives a fuel gas through line 51 and combustion air fed through line 52. The combustion gases flow from the combustion chamber of the gas heater into the heat exchanger 53, in which the steam generated in the steam generator 24 is still overheated.
The combustion gases then reach the steam generator 24 together with the exhaust gases from the gas turbine 30.
In the system according to FIG. 6, as in the system according to FIG. 4, heat is transferred through a heat exchanger 22 from the coolant circuit of the cooling container 1 to the working fluid of the gas turbine system. The gas turbine system has two turbines 55 and 56 connected in series, each of which drives one of the compressors 57 and 58 connected in series. Air is supplied from the atmosphere to the low-pressure compressor 57 as the working medium for the gas turbine system.
After intermediate cooling in the cooler 60, the air is brought to the final pressure by the high-pressure compressor 58 and fed into the heat exchanger 61, which acts as a recuperator. The compressed air is heated further in the heat exchange area, r 22. Finally, the compressed air is heated to the final temperature by the combustion in the combustion chamber 4'5.
For this purpose, the combustion chamber is fed by a compressor 6.2, which is burned in the compressed air.
The mixture of air and combustion gas is first applied to the high-pressure turbine 5.5 and then the low-pressure turbine H. After relaxation, the remainder of the heat that can still be used is transferred to the freshly compressed working fluid in a recuperator 61. The gases then flow through line 63 to other consumption points not indicated in the drawing or directly into the open air. The useful power is generated by the low-pressure turbine 56, which drives the power generator 21.
In the system according to FIG. 7, the heat of the coolant of the cooling container 1 in the heat exchanger 22 is transferred to the work medium of a gas turbine system in which part of the working medium is circulated, the rest in an open process. The low-pressure compressor 65 and the high-pressure compressor 66 compress the working fluid of the circuit with inter mediate cooling in the cooler 67 to the final working pressure. Part of the compressed working medium is preheated in the heat exchanger 22 and another part in the heat exchanger 68, which acts as a recuperator. After the preheating, the two parts unite at the point 69 in order to be divided into two parts again at the stanchion 70.
One part flows through the pipe system 71 of the gas heater 72, is further heated and then enters the turbine 73. After work, the working medium in the recuperator 68 is used to preheat one part of the working medium, and then into the cooler 74 and from to be returned to the low-pressure turbine 65 here. A partial amount of the described cycle of the working medium is withdrawn from the point 70 and introduced as combustion air through the line 75 into the combustion chamber 76 of the gas heater 72. A burner 77 is fed through the compressor 78, a fuel gas.
The combustion gases produced during the combustion first heat the part of the working medium flowing through the pipe system 71 and then pass through the line 79 into the turbine 80 and from there into the turbine 81. After exiting the low-pressure turbine, the exhaust gases can still reach the line 82 further unmarked consumption points or be directed outside.
As a substitute for the partial amount taken from the circuit, air supplied from the atmosphere is compressed by the Ver denser 83 and passed through the line 84 to the circuit between the recuperator 68 and the cooler 74.
The turbine 73 drives the two compressors 65 and 66 of the circuit and the fuel gas compressor 78. The high-pressure turbine 80 drives the fresh-air compressor 83. Finally, the low-pressure turbine 81 generates the useful power by driving the power generator 21, which drives the useful power in the form of electrical power Releases energy to the outside.
The described method can of course also be used for other systems in which a lumpy product that has been subjected to a previous treatment at elevated temperature has to be cooled. For example, in the manufacture of carbide, the heat from the material to be cooled can be used to operate gas turbine systems. The goods to be cooled can, for example, also be accommodated in refrigerated vehicles that are driven as a whole into a refrigerated chamber.
