Support for at least one card library. The invention relates to a support for at least one card library.
We. already knows. supports, the upper edge of which is provided with a transparent strip fixed by means of rivets, this strip being used to clamp the card and also to carry "indexes" in the form, for example, of the movable "index" tongue. 5.
However, these bands often become detached from the rivets by tearing, while the card cannot extend over the entire width of the carrier member, because of the presence of the rivets.
Furthermore, in these known holders, the lower corners of the card must be inserted into the inclined slots of the carrier body, which often results in the corners of the card being bent and no longer usable for notes.
The object of the invention is a support. which avoids these drawbacks. The support according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a body which has at the upper edge and on each of its faces at least one transparent strip, extending along this edge, such as a card. can be partially introduced and clamped between the bands and the body,
and in that the lower corners of the body have swivels by means of which the assembly of the holder can pivot and in that it comprises, arranged along the lower edge of the body, means for holding the cards in place on both sides of the body. The drawing shows, by way of example, some embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view of a body of a support port according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a complete support according to the invention.
Fig. 3 is a cross section following the plane III-III of FIG. 2.
Figs. 4-7 are side views of various constructions of the top edges of a carrier.
Figs. 8-10 are dirty cross sections of a pivot of a support.
Fig. 11 is a perspective view of another construction of the. connection of a pivot to the body of a support.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 show the body 1 of a support including. the upper edge is provided on both sides with transparent bands 2, which have been constructed, for example, as shown in figs. 4-7.
In fig. 4, the body is made of two transparent layers 1a, 1b glued back to back. The upper free edges 2 are curved downwards again.
According to fig. 5, the body consists of a sheet of fairly thick transparent material, which is slit at the top and curved open.
Fig. 6 shows a body 1 in opaque material, provided with a recess 1c, in which curved bands 2 in transparent material have been fixed. Fig. ? is a variant in which the edges of the strips 2 made of transparent material are thinned and tolled against the body. In all these constructions, the card can have the entire width of the body. There are no annoying rivet tabs. The index tabs can be fixed or inserted anywhere.
The bands 2 are such that they tighten the card against the body 1, so that it is well held.
At the lower corners, the body 1 (fig. 1) has tabs. 6, engaging in the slots 10 of the pivots 4. According to fig. 2 and $, each pivot consists of a metal strip folded in an appropriate manner and capable of enclosing the tongue 6 of the body. The tongue can be fixed by an ankle 11. The pivots 4 form part of a rod 3, having a groove 8, the width of which is sufficient to insert the body 1 therein and on each side of the latter a card (see fig. . 3).
The pivots 4 are used to pinch and rotate the supports in the card library. Fig. 9 shows a tongue 6 of the body attached to a solid pivot.
The pivot in. fig. 10 is hollow and wedged by parts 9.
According to fig. 11., the pivot comprises threaded parts 12 provided with an axial slot and a threaded cap 14, which screws onto them, thus enclosing the tongue 6 of the body in the axial slot of said parts. Therefore, the tarps can be easily released from the pivot.
The diameter of the pivots must be chosen large enough, so that they are in contact, the free ends, therefore superior of the cards are discovered, due to their inclined position relative to the bottom of the drawer, a sufficient quantity to be able to easily distinguish these various cards from one another.
