Fig. 1 zeigt im Axialschnitt zwei mitein- ander verbundene Stangenteile.
Fig. 2 zeigt ein F-ederelement.
Detachable connection of interlocking rod parts, in particular hospital sticks, crutches, ski sticks and the like.
The most common type of detachable connection between two interlocking rod parts in the form of tubes consists in the engagement of fixing pins in holes with variations up to a bayonet lock. In this case, the axial course of the slot brings about a corresponding weakening of the pipe in question, so that this connection can practically only be used for thick-walled pipes.
For thin-walled, correspondingly light pipes, mainly for metal sticks, in particular hospital sticks, crabs and the like, a dowel pin connection has hitherto been common in which the dowel pin is in the form of an elastic steel wire. htes engages in one or two pairs of holes in the inner and outer pipes. This connection has considerable disadvantages in that, for example, an adjustment is not possible directly, but only by removing the pins, moving and adjusting the tubes until the bore is aligned with the bore, and the locating pins can be engaged. Then at stoBweiser respectively. The bores are knocked out under alternating stress, and the wear is the greater the thinner-walled the tubes are.
Furthermore, in the case of particularly thin-walled pipes, sufficient power transmission is not guaranteed and cannot be reached by means of dowel pins with a larger diameter, because this causes the pipes themselves to be too weak. Finally, precise production of the pipes is necessary in order to make it more difficult for the bores to fail through a sliding fit that is as free from play as possible.
In the case of this type of connection, which is generally used today for sick and nursing staff, the security of the connecting pin against falling out of the bores is ensured by its elasticity. In another, also known type, the locking pin is provided with a thread and is secured by means of a wing nut; however, the aforementioned disadvantages also exist here. Another known type of connection between two pipes is based on tightening a steel wire in a groove provided on the circumference of the inner sleeve by means of a lever device.
The steel wire and the outer sleeve must be connected, and the difference in the surrounding diameter of the steel wire in the closed and open state must lie within the elasticity of the steel wire, for which only a steel wire of low strength is useful, for which a correspondingly small one Groove is provided. Therefore, with this type of connection, larger transfers of forces, namely in the order of magnitude of intermittent body loads and body forces, are excluded.
Likewise, the service life of this type of connection is limited due to severe wear of the thin steel wire. This type of connection is therefore practically only used on bottle closures with thin-walled closure caps with sealing inserts attached to the steel wire.
The known clamp, which is to be closed by screwing, does not meet the requirement of an immediate releasability. Clamp connections that are made by actuating eccentric levers cannot be used with thin-walled pipes.
The invention relates to a releasable connection between interlocking rod parts, in particular of climbing sticks, 3Çbacks, ski poles and the like, which directly allows adjustment or separation of two rod parts in the axial direction and in any rotational position to one another.
This object is achieved in that, according to the invention, one rod has at least one circumferential groove and the second rod part has an outwardly directed flange and a connecting sleeve surrounding the end of this rod part, which has a circumferential, outwardly directed bead, and that between the connecting sleeve and the first rod part in the aforementioned circumferential groove pas send spring element made of coiled wire.
and between the connecting sleeve and the second rod part a compression spring supported on its flange and on the connecting sleeve is arranged, the whole thing in such a way that, in the connected state, the spring element held between the flange of the second rod part and an inwardly directed flange of the connecting sleeve through the connecting sleeve is pressed into the mentioned circumferential groove of the first rod part and thereby establishes the connection of the two rod parts and the spring element engages in the bead of the connecting sleeve when the connection is released, allowing the two rod parts to move relative to one another.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
1 shows two rod parts connected to one another in an axial section.
Fig. 2 shows a spring element.
3 is an axial section of a modified embodiment of the connecting sleeve.
According to FIG. 1, the rod part 1, which is formed by a hollow or solid round rod, has circumferential grooves 2 round in cross section at certain intervals, whereby corresponding longitudinal adjustments of the rod parts 1 and 3 to one another are possible. The hollow rod part 3, which is axially displaceable with little circumferential play on the rod part l, has a flanged outer flange 4 at the connecting end, which is located in a connec tion sleeve 5 pushed onto the rod part 3. The connecting sleeve 5 is crimped inwards at the ends in order to form rounded flanges 6 and 7.
In the connecting sleeve 5, the spring element 8 is arranged between the lower sleeve flange 6 and the flange 4 of the rod part 3, which according to ri ig. I lies in the upper circumferential groove 2 of the lower rod part 1 and is held free of play by the connecting sleeve 5 between it and the seat presented to it by the mentioned groove 2 of the rod part 1.
Under the flow of the compression spring 9 in the connecting sleeve 5, which serves as a stop at the bottom of the flange 4 of the rod part 3 and above the end flange 7 of the connecting sleeve 5, the parts 5, 8 and 3 are held together by Bemmffekt, whereby at the same time the connection between the rod parts 1 and 3 is made.
At a certain distance from its lower flange 6, the connecting sleeve 5 has an outwardly directed, rounded bead 10 running in the circumferential direction. The spring element 8 is formed by a very helical spring, half the coil diameter of which has the radius of the circumference. ngsrillen 2 of the rod part 1 and the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 coincides. In the developed respectively. In the relaxed state, the spring element 8 preferably has the shape of a parabola with the greatest curvature in the longitudinal center, as shown in FIG.
The spring element 8 consists of a steel wire of such a diameter as to ensure, in addition to permanent elasticity of the coiled spring in the plane of its parabolic shape, sufficient compressive strength in the direction of the rod parts 1 and 3. The length of the spring element 8 is so dimensioned that when it lies in a circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1 and the connecting sleeve 5 is in the closed position, the ends of the spring element 8 are only slightly spaced from one another. The spring element is at its ends in order to avoid more favorable friction or Ver wear conditions to create, each provided with a rounded head 11, which for example on the spring wire a. n is soldered.
The upper end flange 7 is only formed on the connecting sleeve 5 after the connecting sleeve 5 has been pushed onto the rod part 3 and the compression spring 9 has been inserted and compressed. By correspondingly advancing the connecting sleeve 5, while tensioning the compression spring 9, the bead 10 is moved over the flange 4 of the rod part 3 and thus made freely accessible on the inside of the connecting sleeve 5. In this shifted position of the connecting sleeve 5, the spring element 8 is inserted into its bead 10 on the inside. As a result of the parabolic shape of the spring element 8 and its elasticity property, the spring element in the bead 10 does not assume a circular shape, but rather a heart-shaped shape.
The depth of said bead 10 and the radial tension of spring element 8 are dimensioned so that the resistance formed in said misalignment position of connecting sleeve 5 cannot be overcome by compression spring 9, which is why connecting sleeve 5 remains in the position mentioned. The rod parts 3 and 1 are then pushed into one another for mutual connection, the spring element 8 being expanded to a circular ring shape by the rod part 1, which is round in cross section.
The rod parts 1 and 3 are pushed into one another to such a depth that the circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1 under consideration is located entirely in the area of the spring element 8 held on the rod part 3 by means of the connecting sleeve 5, with a detent feel and the spring element 8 under the influence of its elasticity and its special shape, its central part jumps into the relevant circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1; This locking sensation naturally occurs every time the spring element 8 has come into the area of a circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1.
Then the connecting sleeve 5 is pushed upwards, so that the ends of the spring element 8 also emerge from the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 and cling to the circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1 over its entire length, thus assuming the shape of an almost closed ring. The mentioned shifting movement of the connecting sleeve 5 is supported by the compression spring 9, which acts in the same way.
As a result, the compression spring 9 tries to keep the connec tion sleeve 5 in the closed position, in which the spring element 8 lying in the circumferential groove 2 is located between the lower end flange 6 of the connection sleeve 5 and the flange 4 of the rod part 3 and the parts 5 and 3 is given by the mentioned flanges 4 and 6 on the spring element 8 stop. The rod parts 1 and 3 are now connected to one another in a pressure-resistant manner.
After the spring travel of the compression spring 9 has been overcome, tensile strength also occurs, as can be readily seen from FIG. To release the connection, the connecting sleeve 5 is to be moved while overcoming the compression spring 9; When the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 comes right into the area of the spring element 8, the ends of the latter jumps into the said bead 10, whereupon the two rod parts 1 and 3 are pulled apart, whereby the spring element 8 protrudes completely into the mentioned bead 10, can be immediately separated from each other.
It follows from the above explanations that the spring element 8 must be able to absorb a force occurring in the longitudinal direction of the multi-part rod 1, 3.
The radial tension of the spring element 8 must be dimensioned so that, if necessary, with axial displacement of the inner rod part 1, despite noticeable or noticeable detent feel does not quite emerge from the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 and thus the sliding state of the sleeve 5 against the influence of the compression spring 9 is maintained. The first-mentioned property of the spring element 8 is achieved in particular by the heart-shaped shape of the spring element 8 that occurs after it has been introduced into the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 and the associated increase in the friction of the ends of the spring element 8 on the bead 10 mentioned.
Contrary to any other application of such an element, the turns of the spring element 8 are not subjected to tension or pressure. The tension of the compression spring 9 is dimensioned such that on the one hand the sliding state of the connecting sleeve 5 and on the other hand the closed position of the same is guaranteed. Corresponding to the same purpose, the bead 10 provided on the connecting sleeve 5 must be matched to the radial tension of the spring element 8.
The inside diameter of the connecting sleeve 5 is to be selected so that, as a result of the interaction of the spring element 8, which is forced in the form of an erection ring, with a circumferential groove 2 of the rod part 1, the connection is resistant to pressure and tension. The depth of the circumferential grooves 2 of the rod part 1 is to be dimensioned so that a Zugbezw. Pressure force of a certain size can be reliably transmitted from the rod part 1 to the rod part 2 or vice versa and when the inner rod part 1 is moved relative to the connecting sleeve 5, the spring element 8 is properly brought from the closed state into the intermediate state characterized by its engagement in the bead 10 of the connecting sleeve 5 becomes.
In the connected state of the two rod parts 1 and 3, when the rod parts are shifted towards one another, the flange 4 of the rod part 3 takes the tensile load a. uf after the compression spring 9 has covered the spring travel.
The described connection of rod parts can be used wherever low weight, need for adjustment of about 3 mm upwards and frequent direct longitudinal adjustment of the rod parts when forces are transmitted in the order of magnitude of human body forces and body weights. The connection can also be used if oval cross-sections of the rod parts are necessary for reasons of load. The simplicity of the adjustment and thus the possibility of individual adjustment of the total length of the connected rod parts to different body sizes primarily indicates the use of the described connection on all types of hospital sticks and crutches.
For Durohgangskrankenstätten it means a reduction in the storage of crutches and sticks and makes the care of the sick and wounded much easier. Another important use of this connection is on ski poles, with the advantage of adapting the ski pole length to certain body sizes already mentioned, the advantages of a short pole for safe descent and a long pole for energy-saving ascent. If necessary, only a single circumferential groove 2 intended to receive the spring element 8 can be provided on the rod part 1.
If necessary, e.g. B. on ski poles, the connection can have means for limiting the tensile stress by, for example, the Widerla; he of the compression spring 9 on the connecting sleeve 5 is designed. that it can be done by the same if a certain tensile load is exceeded on the standard 3.
For this purpose, according to FIG. 3, the connecting sleeve 5 is provided with a be made of resilient material standing cap 12, the flat part 13 of the compression spring 9 serves as an abutment. The upper flange 7 of the connecting sleeve 5 does not protrude as far radially outward as in the embodiment of FIG. 1. The cap 12 has on its peripheral edge several, evenly distributed incisions 14, whereby resilient clamping arms 15 are formed, which the mentioned Grip the end flange 7 of the connecting sleeve 5.
When a certain tensile stress is exceeded, the cap 12 is torn off the connecting sleeve 5, as a result of which the two rod parts separate from one another automatically. In this way, when using this connection on ski poles, the risk of shoulder and arm injuries is prevented,
which otherwise can easily enter with ski poles attached to the wrists by leather loops if they get caught on any object by means of their plate. After the cap 12 has been torn off, the connection between the two pole parts can be established again by simply putting the cap back on and put it into effect because none of their other parts can be lost when separating the two rod parts.
