Thermal power plant with at least two combustion turbines connected in series and running at independent rotational speeds. The invention relates to a thermal power plant with at least two series-connected and independent rotating speeds running combustion turbines, between which the propellant gases are reheated.
In such systems, a compressor is usually provided for conveying the required combustion air, which has at least two parts arranged in different housings. The two compressor parts who are also expediently driven with independent rotation speeds. The drive can be done so that one of the series-connected Ver combustion turbines either only one of the compressor parts, or at the same time a Ver poet part and a useful power receiver, the z. B. can be designed as a generator, drives while the second combustion turbine then BEZW the second compressor part and a power receiver. only drives the second part of the compressor.
The maximum power output of such thermal power plants is now primarily limited by the centrifugal force on the blades in the last low-pressure stages of the combustion turbines. With the materials available today, the limit is around 15,000 kW if combustion air is sucked in from the environment and the exhaust gases from the combustion turbines flow into the open, so the so-called "open principle" is used. The purpose of the invention is now Thermal power plants of the type in question here temporarily allow an increase in the limit power, that is to say, the generation of an overload without jeopardizing operational safety.
According to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the thermal power plant is assigned to an overload group which has a compressor and a combustion turbine, the latter being connected to one of the other turbines of the plant in parallel and from the same combustion chamber as the one connected in parallel to it Turbine is spun.
On the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated in a simplified manner, namely: Can be switched in series.
Fig. 2 shows a thermal power plant in which the compressor supplying the combustion air is constructed in two cases and the compressor of the overload group is connected in parallel to that Ver denser.
In Fig. 1 1, 2 and 3 denote the three parts of a three-housing compressor, which sucks combustion air through a line 4 from the environment and after compression through a line 5, a part of which is housed in a heat exchanger 6, in a combustion chamber 7 promotes. The fuel required is fed to the latter through a duct 8. 9 denotes a non-return valve built into the line 4, and 10, 11 are intercoolers for the combustion air to be compressed.
The propellant gases generated in the combustion chamber 7 who spanned the ent in a combustion turbine 12, which drives the high-pressure part 3 of the compressor mentioned, as well as a generator designed as a generator 13 Nutzleistungsempfän ger. The propellant gases flowing from the turbine 12 pass through a line 14 into a second combustion chamber 15, to which fuel is also fed through a line 16. The amount of fuel flowing in can be regulated by means of a valve 17 which is set in any part of the system as a function of the operating state.
The propellant gases are thus reheated in the combustion chamber 15 and then normally flow through a line 18 into a second combustion turbine 19, where they relax further. The combustion turbine 19 is thus connected downstream of the turbine 12 and it drives the two compressor parts 1 and 2. The two turbines 12 and 19 can run at mutually independent speeds.
The thermal power plant described is assigned an overload group which has a compressor 20 and a combustion turbine 21, the latter serving to drive the compressor 20. In the outlet power 22 of the combustion turbine 21 from a shut-off device 23 is installed, the setting of a speed controller 25 of the machine group 1, 2, 19 is controlled. As long as the speed of this group does not rise above a fixed value, the shut-off device 23 is closed and the combustion turbine 21 does not emit any power.
As soon as that fixed speed value is exceeded, so that a further increase in the power generated by group 3, 12 by increasing the speed of group 1, 2, 19 is no longer possible, controller 25 causes shut-off element 23 to open. There are now combustion gases from the combustion chamber 15 through a line 24 in the United combustion turbine 21, where they relax stungsabgabe under Lei.
The combustion turbine 21 is then connected in parallel to the combustion turbine 19, and it is fed by the same combustion chamber 15 as this turbine 19. The combustion turbine 21 delivers its power to the compressor 20, which sucks in air from the environment and conveys it into the line 4 of the compressor 1, 2, 3, that is to say is connected in series with the latter. As a result, the intake pressure of the compressor 1, 2, 3 is increased and consequently the final pressure of the combustion air conveyed by the latter is brought to a higher level.
The combustion in the combustion chambers 7 and 15 thus takes place under higher pressure, so that the turbines 12 and 19 now have a greater heat gradient available and they can therefore deliver more power.
Since the waste heat from the gases flowing out of the combustion turbine 21 of the overload group is no longer used, the overload that can be generated with the help of the group 20, 21 is generated with a relatively unfavorable degree of efficiency, but this can be accepted as the overload group 20, 21 is only in operation as long as the performance, for which the actual thermal power plant is designed to be exceeded.
26 denotes a speed controller of the group 3, 12, 13, which acts on the fuel valve 17. 27 and 28 are auxiliary motors for starting up the system.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the compressor of the thermal power plant which transports the combustion air has two parts 30, 31 arranged on different shafts. The combustion air compressed in this compressor 30, 31 to the prescribed pressure flows through a line 32 and then through a heat exchanger 43 into a combustion chamber 34, to which the required fuel flows through a line 35. The propellant gases generated in the combustion chamber 34 flow through a line 36 into a combustion turbine 57, which drives the compressor part 31.
The combustion gases, which are partially relaxed in the turbine 37, pass through a line 38 into a second combustion chamber 39, to which fuel flows through a line 40. The propellant gases generated in the combustion chamber 39 normally pass through a line 41 into a second combustion turbine 42, which drives the compressor part 30 and a useful power receiver designed as a generator 43a. The gases from the combustion turbine 42 through flowing heat exchanger 43, where they give off heat to the combustion air flowing through the line 32 Ver.
In this case, too, the thermal power plant is assigned an overload group which has a combustion turbine 44 and a compressor 45 driven by the latter. The inlet line 46 of the combustion turbine 44 is connected at 47 to the line 41, and the outlet line 48 the water turbine 44 opens into a space of a heat exchanger 49; A discharge line 50 with an adjustable closing element 51 is also connected to this space. The setting of the closing member 51 is governed by the speed controller 54 of the machine group 37, 31 be. 55 denotes a speed controller of the group 30, 42, 43 a, which acts on the fuel valve in the line 35.
When the closing element 51 is open, which will be the case when the power output required by the group 30, 42, 43a at a maximum value of the speed of the group 31, 37, propellant gases can also flow from the line 41 through the line 46 to the The combustion turbine 44 of the overload group succeeds, so that this turbine now delivers power to the compressor 45. The turbine 44 is now connected in parallel to the turbine 42, and these two turbines are fed from the same combustion chamber 39.
The Ver denser 45 now sucks in air from the environment through line 52 and conveys it through a line 53 and then through the heat exchanger 49 directly into the combustion chamber 39, in which the propellant gases between the two combustion turbines 37 and 42 are heated so that this chamber 39 is additionally charged.
As a result, the gradient processed in the turbine 37 is reduced, whereby: the power compensation is expediently compensated for by increased fuel supply through line 35, but on the other hand the gradient generated in the turbine 42 is increased and thus the normal speed of the group 30, 42, 43a to get right resp. when the generator 43a is in parallel with a grid, it achieves the desired power output.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 2, the overload group 44, 45 works with a better degree of efficiency than in the arrangement according to FIG. 1, since in that the exhaust gases from the combustion turbine 44 in the heat exchanger 49 still heat to that of the compressor 45: through the line 53 Release combustion air promoted in the combustion chamber 39.
The closing element, which controls the flow of propellant gases through the combustion turbine of the overload group, is expediently designed in such a way that, even in the closed position, no matter how much propellant gas flows from one of the combustion chambers of the thermal power plant through that combustion turbine that the latter, and thus also the compressor it drives runs continuously at a low speed and always remains preheated so that the overload group can be fully loaded at any time.
