Set of different coins and method of making them. So far, coins of different values have mainly been distinguished from one another by their different sizes and thicknesses, their minting and ruffling, apart from that to a limited extent also by the type of metal or alloy they are made of, e.g. B. gold, silver, nickel, copper, brass or aluminum coins, but these differentiation possibilities are certain limits.
The present invention now proposes. that all coins have different colors according to their different values, including those coins of different values and sizes that are made of the same metal or consist of the same metal alloy. Here, the coins can be colored, the coloring being such that the coins are at the same time wear-resistant and grip-proof.
Because the coins differ from one another not only in their size but also in their different colors according to their different values, all coins can expediently consist of light metal or a light metal alloy.
The process for coloring the coins can either be that the coloring takes place in an electrolytic bath, after which the coins have previously been degreased in a cleaning bath, or that the color or coloring is introduced during the production of the coin alloy so that the The color is resistant to abrasion throughout. The invention is not limited to state coins, but it is also applicable to all types of metal coins that have monetary value or money-like value, or example, have or represent play value.
The imitation respectively. Making the coins according to the invention is considerably more difficult than with the previous coins. When sewing or To make the coins in use today, it is sufficient to procure the appropriate material and to make a die to produce a coin. In the case of the coin according to the invention, however, various chemical processes that require expensive installation are still required.
In addition, it is not easy to bring out exactly the right shade.
The set of coins according to the invention makes it difficult to mix up coins of different values, which was not the case with the coins in use up to now.
Small coins, which are easily lost and which, as is well known, often give rise to confusion, do not need to be embossed, as the color scale allows many variations.
The coin set according to the invention enables the mint as well as banks and shops, where many coins accumulate, an easier sorting, since the different values appear at first. Can be recognized by their color. A major advantage is those made from light metal or light metal alloys. Coins the low weight of the inventive coins into account.
