Device for voltage-independent electrical frequency measurement.
The known devices for voltage-independent electrical frequency measurement usually consist of two parts, the actual frequency meter, which, however, is not only influenced by the frequency but also by the level of the voltage applied to it, and a second part that controls this Voltage regulates to a constant value, for which special control devices with voltage stabilizers are necessary. Devices are also known in which the influence of the voltage is compensated for afterwards, so T.'ie devices that are based on a purely mechanical basis.
The subject of the invention is a device for electrical frequency measurement in which the voltage influence is automatically switched off so that the frequency measurement can be carried out in a very simple manner. According to the invention, a current, the frequency of which is to be measured and which does not fall below a predetermined minimum amplitude, is to be fed to an Eern throttle which reaches its saturation precisely at the predetermined minimum amplitude.
In addition, a device is provided for measuring the arithmetic mean and the absolute value of an alternating voltage resulting from the flow of the choke as a measure. l3 for the frequency of the current.
The invention is based on the knowledge that arithmetic means of the absolute value of the voltage in a winding of the choke. Modulation is induced to the saturation area, the maximum value of the induction and the number prevailing in it. hl is proportional to the zero crossings (frequency), but does not depend on the magnitude of the current flowing through the throttle. In Fig. 1, the time courses of the inductor current i and the inductor voltage u and inductor induction b resulting from the magnetization curve of the inductor core material are shown.
The voltage u at the choke depends on the induction b prevailing in the choke according to the relationship u = const ò db / dt - (1) or

together.
At the points in time (tos to +) at which the voltage u passes through zero, as shown in FIG. 1, the change over time in the induction b disappears, so that it reaches its extreme values (b . ,,,, or bmin) reached. If the ice frequency is denoted by c9, the arithmetic mean value U of the voltage across the choke results from the integral taken between its zero crossings
EMI2.1
If the magnetization curve of the choke core material has a pronounced saturation character, as it is e.g.
For example, as shown in Fig. 2, the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the induction is practically independent of the current flowing through the choke. This means that with such a choke, the arithmetic mean value of the voltage applied to it depends only on the frequency of the alternating current and is proportional to this.
In Fig. L an embodiment of the subject invention is shown. The current taken from the current source 1 via the holding resistor 2 flows through the choke 3. Its amplitude is so great that the magnetization curve of the core material is traversed into the saturation area.
The arithmetic mean of the absolute value of the voltage vaird occurring at the ends of the choke is measured, in the exemplary embodiment in such a way that a current proportional to the voltage is fed through a resistor 4 to a rectifier arrangement 5, to its equation - On the current side, a direct current device 6 is connected which shows the arithmetic mean of the absolute value of the voltage and thus the frequency of the alternating current. Smoothing means for the current can also be provided in the measuring circuit, e.g. B. a capacitor 7, the. is parallel to the direct current instrument 6.
If the resistance is 4 gToB compared to the resistance of the rectifier, its current dependence is irrelevant, so that the arithmetic mean value can be measured very precisely with the arrangement, instead of the direct measurement of the voltage a. In the winding through which the magnetization current flows, ma. m a. Also arrange a second winding on the choke and use its voltage as Mā-for the frequency.
4 shows a measuring device for measuring the aforementioned mean voltage value, in which the input resistance of the voltage measuring device connected to the inductor winding is very high. The alternating voltage fed to the grid of the tubes 9 via the resistor 8 controls the voltage applied to the mode, respectively. the alternating current flowing through the capacitor 10, the rectifier arrangement 11 and the resistor 12, which can be made largely proportional to the applied voltage with the help of the negative feedback resistors 13, 14 and 15.
On the DC side, the rectifier arrangement 11 is again closed with a DC instrument, on which the arithmetic mean of the absolute value of the voltage on the grid of the Robre and thus the frequency of the AC current flowing through the throttle is displayed.
Strictly speaking, the saturation section of the magnetization curve shown in FIG. 2 never runs exactly horizontally, so if there is a change in the amplitude of the current flowing through the choke, this also changes. the maximum induction changes somewhat.
To compensate for this influence, in FIG. 5 the choke 17 is arranged in a bridge circuit, in which there is also a choke 18 which either works without saturation or has a different saturation value.
The choke 18 and the resistor, de 1S, 20 located in the other bridge branches are dimensioned such that when the amplitude of the maximum current drawn from the current source 21 changes, the voltage le sa occurring at the choke 18 becomes as large as that As a result of the inexact saturation occurring at the choke 17, the combined voltage, in the bridge is a rectifier and a direct current instrument 22, with the aid of which the arithmetic mean of the absolute value is measured.
In place of bridges. Other compensation circuits can also be used to compensate for the disturbances described, e.g. B. eddy currents, ohmic intrinsic resistances of the choke and the like to compensate.
